My first anime was a harem anime called Maburaho. My uncle bought the DVD, thinking it was just a cartoon. ;]

Probably a Studio Ghibli movie (I'm guessing either Ponyo or My Neighbor Totoro), but if we're talking as in a TV series, then Pokémon (both the Diamond and Pearl anime and the Black and White anime)

My first anime ever was arguably Pokemon (although, I don't know if Pokemon counts as an anime or not)
If it doesn't, my first anime ever was Toradora! It's nothing special, but it was pretty cute, and it's still got a place in my heart.

As a kid my first anime was either Pokemon or Hamtaro. When I got older the first anime I really liked was Blue Exorcist. It got me into watching anime a lot more.

i wached pokemon first, then digimon before i actually knew what anime was, then when i did, the first one i watched was my hero academia

Pokemon is an amazing first anime. No gore, Firearm or Blood.

As much as I hate to admit it... mine was one called Kämpfer (that's the English title, actually) and it was a rather... ehhh, adult-oriented one? (It wasn't bad just... wish my first anime was a lil' better).

My first anime was one called Full Moon wo Sagashite. It's quite an emotional anime and I have cried many tears watching it in my early teens.

If you're into old-school shojo, semi-magical girl, and lots of emotion and music, I can definitely recommend this one.

My first anime movie was "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" (Studio Ghibli) It's very good and has a nice message.

And the series would be "PrincessTuTu" It has the quality you won't see in animes these days.

I’m pretty sure it was Pokémon as it aired on Saturday mornings, and then Digimon. I don’t think I was hooked though until 2004 when I met some friends at my HS who were into anime and shared the live action Sailor Moon (PGSM). But even then it was more manga until 2007 when I volunteered at AnimeFest and the following year in college that I found sites that I could watch anime on.
Now I reserve Sundays for Crunchyroll watching <3
