Just Us Roleplay
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Just Us RoleplayAll this ran through his mind as he stood there waiting for 9's return, and when the girl finally came back, he couldn't help but ponder with whom she would align, and whether she would end up being the one to turn him in.
Loni had set her tray on the ground. Since she was officially a soldier now, she had to think of some way to get to the group and help them without risking being turned in by the others. She might have to suggest the group splitting up so she can go on alone and help the escapees, and maybe she could hide them in her water dimension until 1 and 19 give up looking for them... Maybe she could even warn them that two of the soldiers who are after them also have powers...
Still easily keeping pace with the heavy-armoured guard, Twelve continued his stealthy approach, his face now pulled into a mask of concentration. Another foot closer; the distance couldn't have been more than five feet now. Because his concentration was so ingrained on the guard, he didn't notice the clearing ahead of him, nor did he notice the bustle of whichever American state this was. It was for these reasons that as the guard came to an abrupt hault, Jonathan did not stop, and ended up tumbling over the guard in quite an undignified manner. Well, the guard was stunned, at least - giving Jake a chance to flee.
He was up on his feet within the first second, only to find himself being approached by some sort of moving peice of metal. Mesmerised by the odd contraption, he found himself unable to move, so simply stood there as the car hurled towards him. Luckily, the driver had the presence of mind to stomp on the brakes, sparing Twelve's life. What on earth was this thing? A messenger, perhaps? He took a step towards it, before being confronted by the driver.
A burly man with very little hair appeared from a swinging metal sheet on the size of the machine, and glared at him with such anger than Jonathan whimpered a little.
"Watch it, jacka**!" The man shouted, before climbing back into his car, which then made a disturbing honking noise. Jonathan walked to the oppostie side of the road, and watched as the four-wheeled machine disappeared into the distance.
It was at this moment that he noticed a group of girls, most of whom appeared to be looking at the world as if it were a completely new concept to them. He jogged over, forgetting the guard he had abandoned on the fringe of the forest.
Once he had caught up, Jake trailed the group for a while, listening to them introducing themselves. He smirked a little; none of them had noticed him yet.
"I'm Bob," he said, a smile crossing his face. He very much hoped that they took that as a joke, because his name was most definitely not Bob.
The Town Hall was fairly quiet, with not much going on. There was a receptionist, who was leaning against the counter, looking extremely bored. When she saw the odd group entering, she spoke in a monotone voice. "Can I help you?"
1 nodded. "Right. I should probably tell you now, my mutation is rather..." he paused, trying to find the words. "Unique." 1 grinned around his toothpick. "Give me a minute, and we'll be on their trail." He sniffed the air once, then twice. "Aaand got it." He started hurrying behind the barracks. "Since we're on a offical mission, there's a gate they'll let us through."
1 was quick, already striding torwads a large metal gate that was not easy to see from the main area, hidden behind the barracks. Nodding to one of the Soldiers stationed on the side, the man took out a small remote, pressing a button. With a loud beep, the gate slid open. 1 glanced behind him. "Well then, it's time you get your first taste of the outside world." He looked back, and kept moving. Sniffing furiously, he didn't stop until they had rounded through the wildreness sorounding to the hole where they had escaped. 1 bent down, then looked back at them with one of his unsettiling grins. "Looks like our little runaways went this way." Powering up his Stun Gun, he started striding deeper into the woods, not checking to see if they were following him.
Loni had split off in another direction, but made sure to keep 1 within her line of sight so she had a lead. She had to get to them before he and 19 could, and warn the escapees of their arrival.
