✨The Age of Darkness✨

(Actual RP; Sign Ups here)

A group of magical assassins have taken over the world and corrupted it into a darkness. Good magic has significantly weakened, though leaders of good magic have sacrificed their powers in order to bestow great power amongst few individuals. These individuals now are tasked with defeating the evil assassins and restoring the world to its former state, bringing peace and harmony back to earth.
Entering a seemingly abandoned bar, Kendall sighs as he steps inside. He's immediately taken away as the inside of the bar is much larger and glamorous than it appears on the surface, more than likely thanks to illusion magic casted by one of the leaders. "This is our hideout? It definitely fits in with the rest of the town right about now..." he muttered to himself, noticing that the bar is more of a brothel or hotel. He sighs again, stepping away from the entrance in case anyone else entered. Not entirely sure of what to do without further instruction, he takes a seat near a bookcase, pondering at the selection before him.

Koda flings two doors open with a sly smirk on his face, stepping into a room of assassins gathered at a roundtable. "This operation was more successful and easier to pull off than anticipated." he comments, taking a seat at the empty, larger chair at the table. "I have no doubt in my mind the pests are going to attempt to take the world back; I've even gotten reports of an increase of individuals with more power, one of them being my little brother. My own mother is one of the leaders of 'all things good' and I'm sure she appointed him to defeat us. That tells me that good is desperate to cling onto any chance of bringing light back into this filthy world. I won't let them get the chance."

Barron, hearing the door open, turned around. Standing behind the bar was easy enough, but trying to entice a newcomer into a drink was harder. Calling out quietly to the man, he asks, "Can I get you anything to drink?" It was by pure incident, but his arm stump was hidden behind a tap that rested on the edge of the bar. "We've got a few older ales for what ails you." He chuckled at his joke, then waited for the man to respond.

"Can I get you something to drink?" Kendall heard called from behind the counter, his head shooting directly towards the direction of the voice. He stared silently at the man offering him a drink as he seemed to laugh at his own joke. "Rum and coke if you have it..." he answered quietly, rising from his seat to take a seat at the bartop in front of the other male.

Upon closer inspection, he couldn't help but notice the bartender was missing an arm and was seemingly hiding it behind something. 'Bringing up disabilities is a sure way to get yourself hated, Ken, don't do it...' the male thought to himself. "So... uh... Are you one of these-- 'Let's save the world', amped up people too?" he asked the bartender, trying his best not to let his eyes glance at the man's missing limb.

Entering the abandoned bar Marlin was curious to see what this place was. She was shocked to see the inside of the bar is much larger and glamorous than it appears on the surface, more than likely thanks to illusion magic casted by one of the leaders. Noticing that the bar is more of a brothel or hotel. Stepping away from the entrance in case anyone else entered. Not entirely sure of what to do without any orders , Marlin sits at the bar and examed everyone abs was guessing what they could do.

Turning to grab a few bottles from the shelves behind the bar, Barron shrugged as best he could. "I feel like it's a bit redundant sometimes. We're clearly outmatched in this whole thing, you know?" Quickly, he filed a glass with ice, Bacardi, and a bit of Cola. "Lime in this as well?" He glanced over his shoulder, the one with an arm still attached. That arm held a small knife that hovered over a lime, ready to cut it in two.

Kendall watched the bartender as he spoke while making his drink, turning shortly to see a woman take a seat at the bar as well though didn't acknowledge her otherwise. "Please." the male requested when offered the lime before backtracking to what he'd said earlier. "I mean, I guess you're right... I don't really-- get to have much of a choice with this one being that my mother is one of the Elders who supercharged us basically and my brother is the one who organized the whole dark-age fiasco." he explained, forcing a small smile for a somewhat sarcastic effect for a brief second. "I'm Kendall, by the way. I'm sure you'll be seeing me a lot if you're the bartender." he introduced.

A quick motion, and the knife was stuck in the board while half the lime was being squeezed into the drink. Barron made sure not to allow any pulp to fall with the liquid, as he always did when making mixed drinks. Tossing the spent lime half, he picked the drink up, spun and set it down in front of Kendall. "Barron. Pleasure to meet you." He wore a friendly smile, his hand that had, until a moment ago, been holding a drink, was extended for a handshake.

Feeling left out Marlin stood up abs with a smile on the cars face said “ hi everyone I am Marlin a Cat “ and soon sat down thinking she had down wrong. She sits there scared a little wondering if she had down wrong by interrupting some how.The thoughts rushed into her head as she gave a weird smile to her new friends OT she hopes they would accept her friendship.

Rey stood outsider the bar, not daring to go in. From the looks of it, they aren’t hostile assassins, but being his usual timid self, he couldn’t bring himself to enter. Finally, after persuading himself that the was nothing to be afraid of, Rey entered the bar. “Just... cola please” he muttered in a somewhat squeaky tone. Then, he sat in the corner and hoped no one noticed him.

After shaking Kendall's hand, Barron slid a Cola down the bar for Rey, then stopped in front of Marlin. "Anything for you? We've got plenty." He seemed plenty friendly, running towards the verge of too friendly fairly slowly. "If you're not one for alcohol, we've got juices and water and such."

“ oh sure I’m a light drinker abs I will have some water “ she said and swayed her tail a little as she smiled happily.She turned around to see the newer person who had come in and she jumped off and walked over to them and put out her paw/hand and smiled innocently “ Hello fellow conrad I’m Marlin and I am a cat human.”She then pulled up a chair next to him and with stars in her eyes was happily watching them abs thought of a new friend!

Filling a glass with water and ice, Barron set it in front of Marlin. Stepping back to stand by Kendall, he filled a glass with what appeared to be whiskey. "You know how many more we're waiting on, Kendall?" Taking a small sip from his glass, he twitched his lip. "Whiskey over ice is better, I 'spose." Draining the glass, he put a sphere of ice into the cup, then refilled it.

Kendall examined the two others at the bar as they took the attention of who was introduced as Barron after shaking the male's hand. He picked up only one of their names, Marlin. 'What the hell is a cat human? I guess you get anything nowadays in the magical world...' the male thought to himself. He then turned his attention to the other person that had approached the bar, he looked pretty young and couldn't be anymore than 14 or 15 by his own estimate. "They'll recruit anyone these days..." he muttered, taking his drink and swinging it down his throat in a single gulp.

The male wiped his mouth as Barron followed up with a question in regards to what they're waiting for. "I doubt this is everyone that we're supposed to get in here, so I assume we're waiting for more of us to show up and probably for my mom and her people to give us instruction." he answered. The male swirled the tip of his finger along the rim of the cup, sighing and pushing it back towards Barron. "I'll take another, please." he requested.

Barron grabbed the empty cup and turned, filling it with the same ingredients as he did previously. Squeezing the lime half until it gave no more juice, Barron sighed. Setting the drink down, he leaned back on the far side of the bar. "So, you have any idea as to why this all happened? The darkness and all?" He took a sip from his glass. "I mean, I get that it's likely power driven, but you think there was anything else behind it?"

It was that time again, the feeling of relief knowing that the day was almost over washed over Geo as he finished his last task. The plan was to finish up and walk on home and relax for the rest of the day, but it never really went that way. He always got sidetracked on the way home or notice something he missed, then be too tired to do anything else. Today didn’t seem like one of those days so far, though. This time everything seemed to be done and it was all done a bit earlier than he was expecting. He grabbed his things and walked out of the door, then proceeded to walk home. He came to a sudden stop when he noticed a strange, humanoid cat walk into a building. From the outside it didn’t look like much, just a random building placed in the middle of the area. His curiosity got the best of him and he began to follow the cat-like person into the door. The sight inside made him think he had just walked in on a private meeting, immediately making him regret his decision.

Kendall quietly sipped at his drink as Barron spoke, looking up at him afterwards. "I mean-- they're assassins, so they probably killed a few powerful people along the way. I know for sure it's got to be somewhat magic related too... My brother hasn't contacted me or my mother in five years since he joined the assassins and he quickly became the leader of them so I'm sure they've gained some strength and numbers, who knows what kind of powers and abilities they have." After speaking, he noticed someone else had entered the building, though wasn't particularly fond of the idea of introducing them. 'At least it's another guy who isn't like twelve or another walking animal.' he thought. He exhaled deeply before turning his eyes back towards Barron, figuring the bartender would get the newcomer's attention as he did with him.

Esmerelda tapped her fingers against the table. Click, Clackity, Click. Time seemed to go by about as fast as that snail she almost stepped on earlier today. Just the thought of it made her shudder. Snails. "They're so gross," she said aloud, not wondering or caring if anyone heard her. As always, Esmerelda received no attention. Her eyes were locked on a certain spot on the ceiling. In her mind, she circled it and counted all of its flaws. She could always find flaws. Some might consider it a talent, others a petty habit. And Esmerelda was supposed to care why? She did wish that something would happen. She was tempted to put her feet up but she couldn't, for the life of her, understand why people liked to do that. For one, it looked absolutely sloppy. And another thing-it looked so silly when people did it. Maybe it was just her but Esmerelda couldn't help but laugh when she saw someone with their feet up and wasn't afraid to tell them how stupid they looked. Or perhaps she was overthinking this. After all, who cared if someone put their feet up? It was her who was being stupid for thinking about it. Mentally she berated herself for thinking about it before sighing and giving up completely on her debate about it. It mattered not if she won against her own brain. She sat up a little with a bored expression on her face. If something didn't happen soon, Esmerelda was going to stir up some trouble of her own. Honestly, how could it be so boring around here?!

Glancing up as the door opened again, Barron smiled. Standing up straight, he brushed the wrinkles out of his shirt as best he could with one arm. "How can I help you?" Setting his glass down behind the bar, he readied himself with a glass and prepared to grab a bottle. "Light? Heavy? We also have water, if you're not feeling up to a hangover." He widened his smile ever so slightly, the one armed barkeep trying to keep the air as positive as he could.

Stretching out languidly, his mouth popping with the force of his yawn, Hyde groaned with pleasure as he felt the pleasant burn of muscles that had been well used today.

"You're a freak, Hyde. We're not working with you any longer."

Those words had been spat at him not half an hour prior as the people he had been previously contracted to broke off their deal. It wasn't a big deal, he had been paid before they left and Hyde didn't really care that their contract hadn't been seen through. Those people were cowards anyway, only giving him small extermination jobs instead of information that would actually help in cleansing the world. With a tune on his lips, Hyde counted the coin and to his glee, he had enough to at least treat himself to something nice even after deducting the portion that he would need for food and supplies. If he remembered correctly, there was a bar not too far from here. And his memory didn't fail him when Hyde only had to walk a few paces until he found it.

The door to the bar was easily kicked open, the wood rattling against the hinges as Hyde whooped, striking a pose for extra dramatic flair points. "Aeyo, what's popping!" He crackled, throwing a jaunty salute towards the bar patrons and any heavy awkwardness that had been present in the bar previously was blown to smithereens. Sauntering without a care in the world, he plunked himself down before Barron and propped his head up with one hand, the sly sharp-toothed grin never leaving his face.

"Sorry for bargaining in, Barkeep. What can you mix up for me?" Came the carefree purr as Hyde ignored the inevitable gazes that he drew from those present within the establishment.

As Hyde barged in like an entire holiday contained in a single man, Barron laughed out loud and temporarily forgot Geo. "Evening Hyde! Job go well?" He nodded to the coins Hyde had, absently grabbing a glass and throwing some ice in it. After a few moments of gazing at the cabinet, Barron grabbed a few bottles and set them down, before opening them and smoothly filling the glass with the three drinks. Peering at the drink for a moment, he nodded and slid it to Hyde. Closing the bottles again, he stowed them where they had come from previously.
