Audax padded outside to one of the balconies. He could see most of
the cloud island from here... the castle, the arena, the parks and
the anthian district... now all divided by invisible lines. He
sighed, trying his best to bottle up the thought as he began
reading his book on Luminia's history. This was one hobby that
usually calmed his nerves.
Fortem
“...I do advise going down and checking up on them. You’re the only
one I can trust with this.” Dainn said seriously. “I’m talking
about...Emerald’s father.”
Audax
The breeze was fairly calm...if you didn’t focus on the security
around everyone, then it really was just a normal day...
Winter
“I mean...Hiro left me the keys after he went to travel with
Azure...” Emerald had a happy grin, one of the first in a long
while as he unlocked the door. “After you.”
Xatina
There were numerous guards in the area. Security was clearly tight
and the beautiful park had been cordoned off completely
With a large grin, Winter rushed inside, greeted by the usual
curtains that concealed the bubble park behind. It was a soothing
quiet inside the Emporium, as opposed to the clammer of factions
from outside. Winter quite enjoyed this, as shown by him grinning
from ear to ear, a sudden, warmed by an unexpected rush of joy in
the middle of what seemed to be the beginning of incoming chaos.
"Oh!" Fortem half shouted, half whispered as he was caught by
surprise. Maybe it was a good idea... He was expecting to be
reprimanded if he did so, but... that seemed like the opposite.
"Okay, got it." Fortem tried to give Dainn a determined expression.
He didn't know that the family meant so much to Dainn like it did
to him. "I can go now, if you want..."
Audax was enveloped by the book as he tried to imagine what it
might be like to live so long ago when tempest created the islands.
What might he have been thinking when he made them? Why were the
first pokemon come? It was questions and thoughts like these that
came from reading that Audax loved about it so much.
Clamor's ears perked up as he heard different pokemon organising
patrols. Something important was happening... some pokemon were
going to scout around Sleipnir. Clamor quickly got up and padded
over, silently volunteering to go.
Xatina chose a particular spot around the park. She didn't really
understand why the park needed guarding, but she supposed it was
for the best that she go along with it. Xatina moved her head,
watching the passerby around her. It really was a beautiful day. It
put Xatina in a particularlly relaxed mood. But she snapped out of
it. Xatina had a job to do!
Fortem
“Go please...I do want you to see them. For my sake...as well as
your own.” He grimaced
Winter
“We can’t stay long but...I think instead of a dive, why don’t I
just show you it. Unless you want the surprise?” Emerald winked
Clamor
A small force was planning to scout Sleipnir Park. They had some
mages in their ranks too...and it would be a great success if they
could capture the park
Xatina
She would end up near some other guards too Guards can be interacted with!
Winter glanced back at his friend, wildly curious. "Oh?" He had
been sniffing around, searching for the steps the shiny Mewtwo had
described to him, but Emerald's statement startled him.
"Thank you, Dainn," Fortem finally let a small smile cover his
face, as Dainn exited. For the second time that day, he slipped on
his cloak and bounded out one of the side exits of the castle. He
stealthily made his way down the familliar streets he used to
travel to get to Yung's house every few days. He was struck by
nostalgia. Finally, he reached the house, and was dissapointed to
see a few bits and pieces of things barricading it. Not losing
hope, he gave a quiet knock on the door.
Audax just continued reading, his stress slowly trickling away at
every phrase. Yet another reason to be thankful for books and
knowledge... the theme of Luminia was a little bit sad to read
about though. Where had they gone so wrong? Sure, the government
wasn't perfect. That didn't mean things had to escalate this
far...
Clamor felt his fur bristle with excitement. This could be it! This
could be the message to the authorities that Clamor had always
wanted to send: The system was flawed. The knights had treated him
badly and no pokemon got a say in what they did except the knights
and royalty themselves. Determined, he marched near the front of
one of the patrols. The whole group was split up into about 5
smaller ones so as not to attract attention.
[Fortem]
There was a pause..an eye peeped through the window. After a few
moments, a Lucario opened the door...his expression was that of
weariness but it immediately brightened upon seeing the young
Lycanroc. “Ah...come in.”
[Winter]
Thinking that Winter wanted the surprise after all, he carried
Winter up the stairs himself and dived off the platform above,
covering his friends eyes and then letting go of him as he was
about to belly flop onto a gigantic purple bubble
[Fortem]
“Looking after Emerald and Remus.” Yung explained. “Both of them
are getting down...having no one to talk to. Emerald complains
often that he doesn’t get to see you often anymore...and that he
really wants to spend time with you, no matter which side you
chose.” He guided him onto a giant squishy bubble. It wasn’t one of
the massage ones...for this was his own home. Not the parlour
"Ah, thank you..." Fortem lay down on it. He was touched by
Emerald's words. "How about Azure and Hiro? Do you know where they
are?" His tail bristled as he looked at the lucario, concerned.
Winter let out a startled shriek at the sudden action. He hadn't
been expecting to be picked up out of the blue and dropped onto a
bubble. His sudden shock faded and his shriek cut off as he slammed
face first into the bubble, it wobbling in his face, tickling his
cheeks. Luckily, it hadn't hurt him, it being way too squishy, yet
he was trembling on that bubble, where he lay on his belly, face
flat into the surface, before bouncing up and down as it dented and
shot him off, still trembling, giggling, actually.
[Fortem]
“Azure and Hiro...they’re both on a journey. They went to Kailua
town. I’ve warned them about the current situation and they won’t
be back for a while....” he murmured as he sat down next to him and
began ruffling his fur and just petting him in general. He was
trying to comfort him as he could sense the emotions within
[Winter]
The purple bubbles were everywhere. Super squishy, it sent him
fairly high but...he was about to faceplant the bubble again
"Oh..." Fortem's tail drooped. But, he supposed it would be better
if the two of them weren't here in this chaos at all... "Kailua
town... thats the one by the sea, right?" He quickly changed topic
as he remembered exploring the water temple and meeting Tenko.
Clamor's group was approaching the park, and he noticed some of the
guards glaring at them, as well as someone from the other
republican patrols meeting up with them. Things were going well so
far... he just needed to wait for the signal to either attack, spy
or retreat.
Winter did a little roll in the air, so he'd land on his back, his
weary spine gently tickled by the bubble trampoline. He looked
around for Emerald, letting himself just be overwhelmed with joy
for a moment. That's what the bubbles should be for, after all.
[Fortem]
“That’s right. They should be safe there.” He said, calmly as he
rubbed Fortem’s stomach. “I don’t want them to get involved in the
inevitable crossfire that will happen.”
[Clamor]
The signal was just to observe for the moment. There was no need to
engage just yet...
[Winter]
Emerald pounced onto Winter with a laugh, and made the bubble
tickle his whole body
"I agree," Fortem said to Yung. "They should be better off there
for now..." He paused. "Dainn wanted me to see you and check up on
you, actually. I saw Emerald earlier today, too."
Winter wrapped his paws around his friend's shoulders, a playful
attempt to pin him to his immense chest floof whist being tickled
by the bubble. He could barely breathe, the tickling was so
intense, he was giggling too hard.
Clamor followed the signal as he nonchalantly padded to the side to
watch and think. He... was honestly still pretty lonely from the
last time Luminia got attacked, and it was hard for him to make
friends. He sighed, focusing back on his task.
