Winter barely noticed the door open, or Yung and a strange Eevee.
He just prepared for a couple fun bounces. He was a a spring on the
bubble, bouncing up and down with a large, uncharacteristic grin on
his face.
"Alright, alright. I'll rest a little while longer," Xatina said
reluctantley. "But I've got a job to do, I can't be away for long,
especially with the chaos that's been going on." Xatina knew that
now, with civil war proclaimed, it would be even more important
that she help guard the territory claimed by the Loyalists, and
protect her fellow knights.
Audax slowly padded up. He was honestly a little tired already...
but he could set that aside for bubbles. He'd been at this Emporium
a few times, and Hiro, the owner, seemed pretty nice. Besides, he
was Emerald and Fortem's friend. "Oh hi Emerald," said Audax,
softly, to the familliar riolu. "Who's this?" He looked towards the
vulpix
Xatina
“If you aren’t in peak condition, nothing’s going to get done. Now
rest.” The Bayleef kept watch
Winter + Audax
“Oh Hi Audax!” Emerald said happily. “This is Winter, my friend
from the ground below! He’s a chill guy!” He said happily, as he
then pulled Audax onto the bubble with him
Elsewhere, Yung and Remus were both fighting off the pokemon
heading their way. Their job was almost done...Yung was preparing
something
Xatina sighed. She had forgotten how stubborn Bayleefs, or any of
the eveelutions for that matter, could be. She supposed it was for
the better if she rested. She closed her eyes, smiling a little.
"Does this count as resting for you?"
Fortem caught his breath at the castle. He padded to his room. That
was enough fighting for the day... Now what? Yung would be able to
make good plans, or Audax, but both of them were leaving (well, he
wasn't sure about Audax, but since he wanted to follow Yung, he
assumed so). No, Fortem had to do this on his own. Ok... so he
didn't really believe in what the knights or rebels were doing,
that made him neutral. He could try to convince willing knights
that what they were doing was wrong, and maybe there were neutral
rebels out there too, sort of like him but on the opposite side of
neutral. If he could find someone, he could get them to do the same
too? It was a bad plan, but it was a plan nonetheless, and more
importantly, it was a start.
"Nice to meet you, Winter." Audax hopped onto one of the bubbles,
timing his jumps for optimum bounce height.
Winter just now seemed to realize there was a newcomer. "Oh! Uh,
right! Nice to meet you too..." he glanced at Emerald, then back at
the Eevee. "What's your name? I'm sorry." He didn't pause his
bouncing as he spoke, aiming for the center of the bouncy bubble.
Xatina
“I’m not letting you leave either way until I say so.” She smiled.
It would be about an hour later before she let Xatina leave.
Audax
Emerald was giggling softly as the bubble wobbled. “Audax is a mage
at the school of magic! He’s pretty tactical and very studious!”
The bubble wobbled in strange ways due to the trio jumping on the
same squishy bubble
Fortem
Unfortunately, most of the knights seem to be hard loyalist,
whether it was their own beliefs or otherwise. It would be hard to
find allies, but...the best place to start would be the School of
Magic
Clamor
The knights pulled him up for questioning. Despite being a
Republican, he was treated with some respect.
Following that idea, Fortem padded towards the school. It would be
good to get some mages on the neutral side, since they had tons of
power. However, he had to ask the right pokemon: Ones that appeared
loyalist enough, but weren't going to rat him out.
Audax blushed at the compliments, then comfirmed Winter's guess.
"It's sort of ironic though," He said. "I'm kind of the opposite of
bold." He laughed a little.
Clamor stayed silent of course, all while observing the knights
calmly. At least he was being given some respect, thought it
wouldn't be enough to get him to share, even if he could speak. He
flicked his tail, annoyed but interested.
Fortem
There was no clue as to where to start...he could go anywhere. Ask
any student or teacher...but there was no clue as to who was
loyalist, republican or neutral. Unless he was good at reading and
perceiving people
Audax + Winter
"Winter's going to be a great knight one day!" Emerald said
happily. "He's strong and brave!"
"Hey Audax, isn't this great?" He gently tapped the bubble with his
foot, making it softly wobble beneath Audax.
Yung and Remus came in soon afterwards...but made no noise, letting
them play for a while longer
Clamor
"Now...we just want to know some things about the
Republicans...that's all and then you can leave. We want to know
your structure in the organisation...as well as your leaders." They
handed him his chalk and tablet
Fortem admittedly wasn't the best at judging others, but he had a
little practice. It was useful, as a knight. Of course, he wouldn't
be asking the guards, and the students were harder to get a read
on... From across the hall, he spotted Thea the dark mage umbreon
reading, as well as the light mage Ryn, the shaymin. He'd heard
about both, and of the two, Ryn was known as more patient and
understanding. She wasn't wearing anything blatantly loyalist...
perhaps he should start with her? Nervously, Fortem padded up to
the mage.
Audax nodded, bounching along. He wanted to savour these last
moments in Luminia before he could return. Hopefully no one staying
in Luminia would miss him.
Clamor flicked away the chalk. He wasn't going to reveal the
information for so easily, even for freedom to go out. He would be
giving more than it was worth. He thought of all the pokemon he met
at the base, and all of their reasons for protesting.
Winter bounced from bubble to bubble, his floof of a tail wagging
as he did so. He did the thing he had done upon first coming here
and the thing he had done with Meka so many times.
Audax + Winter
"Hey! Is everyone prepared?" Yung and Remus called from the
entrance.
Emerald had been trying to use the bubble to tickle Audax's
paws.
Fortem
"Oh!" Ryn looked up. "A knight...who has strolled right up to the
classroom. Yes?" She looked a little perturbed, wondering what was
Fortem trying to do.
Clamor
The knights looked at each other. Each of them nod to each other.
"Very well. I see that we won't be getting anything out of you." He
was immediately taken back into his cell
Xatina yawned. "Oh, alright." But she wasn't used to stitting
still. Xatina wanted to move around. One of her favorite parts
about being a knight is that even when nothing was going on, she
was still able to move some. Sitting still abosolutley drove her
mad, and she'd rather be running around. But even Xatina had to
admit this was not the time. She quelled her urges by opening her
eyes and looking around her constantly.
Suddenly, Fortem felt very awkward. What had he even been planning
to say? He shifted his weight awkardly. "Hello... sorry, I know we
haven't met... can I ask a question? I'm Fortem, by the way." He
internally face palmed, cringing at himself. That had to have been
the worst introduction he'd ever made and seen.
"Yep!" Audax called out to Yung. He hadn't expected to be leaving
Luminia so soon, but he saw that it was a good idea to plan
elsewhere. Then they could end this whole war eventually... that
would be good.
Clamor knew this would happen, but he didn't have much of a choice.
Oh well, he could probably endure the loneliness... At least he had
a lot of time to think and train, even if it was in this small
enclosure. Once the knights had left, Clamor practiced his swipes
and moves in the air, making as little noise as possible. Even now,
he was a little bored. It would be more interesting to train
against another pokemon. He sighed.
Xatina
The Bayleef walked up to her. “You’re free to go. Make sure you
don’t do anything too strenuous...especially not heavy training.”
She warned
Audax and Winter
“We are not leaving permanently. In fact...we should be able to be
in Luminia every day.” Yung said. “We’re only coming back down here
for the nights, where we will be away from the fighting.
Fortem
“Hm?” Ryn narrowed her eyes and looked at Fortem. The little
Shaymin was questioning why Fortem was here
Clamor
His cell was equally guarded like anyone else’s. Guards patrolled
the hallway...
Xatina stretched. "I feel amazing. Thank you! I'll do my best, but
I can't make any promises about how heavy the training will be."
Xatina knew that she was most definetly going to be doing some
training, hopefully learning some new moves. She wouldn't be a
burden to the Loyalist cause if she was sucsessfully fending off
Republicans. If that Luxio could beat her so badly, then she needed
to train. She walked away, nodding so that her horn waved in a sort
of goodbye. Xatina's next stop would be training.
"How... do you feel about the republicans?" Fortem asked, once
again awkwardly. Most likely he wouldn't get an honest opinion, or
he would get one that he didn't want... He sighed, tense with
anxiety. "Sorry!" He looked down at his paws. He'd been a bit
sudden...
"Ah, I see." Audax thought about it. That was smart... hopefully
the trip down and up wouldn't be too strenuous, or it wouldn't help
too much. It would be good to get away at night... it was also a
safe place to plan. The one downside is that they wouldn't be able
to know what was going on if things happened at night... "Do you
have a way to catch up with Luminian news you may have missed?"
Audax asked Yung.
Clamor sighed again. He looked to see the republicans in the cells
near him. These cells were supposed to contain real criminals, not
ordinary citizens wanting a voice! He unsheathed a claw and scraped
the ground. Might as well practice writing, since his was pretty
messy anyway. He didn't know when he'd get the chance to
communicate again, but he'd look forward to it.
