It was all over the news. For the first time in 10 years, the champion was defeated, another rising to the position. It was a time of excitement and joy, a new champion had risen, marking a new era. It was a cheerful event, until it wasn’t. In just one night, the champion had completely replaced the Elite Four. Something like this has happened in the past, nothing to worrying. The replacements were equally as strong, if not stronger. It was fine. A week had passed since the new champion’s rise, things were running smoothly. Families huddled around the television that Saturday, a challenger had come to face their new champion, they would finally see him fight. The champion easily won, his team easily sweeping through the challengers. It didn’t end there. The challenger was killed, there and then. The entire Kanto region watched horrified with wide eyes.
The champion didn’t even blink. The Elite Four didn’t interfere. That’s when they knew that their joy was in vain. This new era they were entering would be one of fear and violence. The police were called, but they never arrived. People cried out to the older Elite Four for help, but they were never answered. The other regions all but ignored their pleas for help. When the police did come, the people were not happy. They took their pokemon, their potions and revives, all their items.
The news was never really turned on after that. Nobody wanted to see what had become a typical program. They lived in fear, they followed the rules set for them. Those who were caught breaking the rules were publicly executed, or taken away and never seen again. Several influential individuals were some of the few escorted away by the police force. Nobody knew what happened to them, and nobody wanted to find out.
You are one of the few not afraid to fight back. You have reached the age of 16 years old, the age that now holds great importance to the other members of the resistance. At this age, you are handed a pokemon and sent out to complete a mock journey. The ultimate goal? Defeat the gym leaders of the resistance, prove yourself to be strong. At the end of every year, the resistance members hold their own league, similar to the one in Galar. Their champion faces against him. Team Rocket’s champion and leader. However, due to recent events, your journey will be different. The gyms are now held entirely underground. Children from other regions are joining you as well. They have also lost their safety to Team Rocket.

Mount Quetmel
The main location where the resistance resides. The peaceful village is built into the side of a mountain, much like Mesa Verde. Due to the lack of materials, the houses are often made out of sandstone and mud. In the center of the small town resides Professor Hop. The town center is often filled with young kids ready to start their journey.
Eastcliff
This peaceful town is built in a wide ravine. The majority of the resistance’s food comes from Eastcliff, as it’s one of the few places sunny enough to grow crops. The place has really picked up since Milo arrived, and now it isn’t uncommon to find Wooloo rolling around in the fields. The main attractions are the corn mazes and Milo’s gym. The gym is situated at the end of the town, and a large wooden fence encircles the gym. The buildings in this town are made of wood and stone.
Islesbury
A larger town than typical for the resistance, this town is situated in an underground lake. If you swim down far enough you can eventually surface at the ocean. It is a rather breathtaking sight, especially when the lights go out. The water reflects the light of the multicolored rocks from above, creating a wonderful illusion. The water appears to be several shades of greens, yellows, and blues. The people in this town often compare its beauty to that of the sky. As the sun begins to set, the water takes on a more pinkish shade. Wild pokemon can often be found swimming in the water, as well as something else. The main attractions are the man-made beach and their art exhibits. Lana’s gym is completely outdoors, taking place on a small island they created in the water.
Seameet
Seameet is further into the caves, the waters from Islesbury slowly narrowed into a single stream. Similarly to Belladonna, the light comes from bioluminescent mushrooms, though the colors are much more bland. The town makes up for the lack of natural colors by painting their homes with vibrant colors of greens, pinks, and yellows. Each house is turned into a piece of art, and every public building has a mural always contributed to it by the various townsfolk. Many pass through the town to look at the wonderful works of art made by the people. Morty’s gym stands out among the colored buildings, being colored in deeper shades of green and yellow.
Goldmire
Goldmire is not so much a town as it is a city. Due to its location underground, it is not able to expand upwards, instead it stretches out for more than the eye can see. It’s easy to get lost in the city, and the townsfolk are currently in the process of building a monorail system. The city is named after it’s abundance of pyrite, also known as fools gold. The residents enjoy tricking newcomers by giving them a pyrite nugget, claiming it’s made of gold. The pranks are completely harmless however, and the pyrite nuggets can still be sold outside of the city for a decent amount of money. The greatest sight is the golden gate, it’s also the entrance to the city. Made entirely out of pyrite, these gates are always open. Norman has established his gym in the North side of Goldmire, the South holds Viola’s gym.
Lyndon
Lyndon sits in the center of the resistance’s cave systems. It’s full of stalactites and stalagmites. In the center of the town sits a large stadium. It’s heavily inspired by Galar’s stadiums, and covered with bioluminescent plants to glow just like the neon lights. Here is where the yearly tournament is held. It’s a big event, and the city is decked out with all sorts of signs and promotional posters.
Newhaven
The oldest of the villages, Newhaven was the first safeplace built in the cave systems. It’s buildings are by far the most advanced, looking similar to modern buildings. There are several empty clearings where people first tried to grow crops, though they have long been emptied. Children can now be found running around in the dirt. Roark quickly placed his claim on the town, building his gym by one of the empty dirt lots.
Faylea
Faylea is the brightest village in the caves, Elesa having found a way to power their lights with the abundance of electric pokemon in the caves. The village of Faylea is a rather modern town. While it doesn’t quite have as much materials as Newhaven, they have worked hard to create new kinds of technology. They often export handcrafted batteries to Goldmire to assist with the monorail project. Little stuffed pichu’s can be found in windows of houses, as a sign of appreciation for the pichu, pikachu, and raichu. Elesa’s gym is built into one of the cave walls.
Westcourt
Westcourt is known for its public parks. It’s one of the few places in the cave system that gets fresh air blowing through. This is due to the way the cave eroded. It left small pockets above them, essentially creating wind tunnels that leads straight to their town. Every year the people try and plant some tall grasses so they can watch it blow in the wind, however it is rarely successful. This leads to a few patches of dried up grass sitting alone in the dirt. Blaine has built his gym in this town.

Appearance:
Mcqueen is a petite, violet-eyed female, standing at 159cm tall (about 5'3). She has an almost royal aesthetic, but her most notable feature is probably her hair. The silk-like dusty lavender locks are much longer at the back than the front, reaching past her calves. Because of this, she often keeps it in a low ponytail to minimize the chances of her, or anyone else, stepping and tripping on it. How she's able to manage it is very much a mystery.
Personality:
She has a calm yet stern demeanour about her, probably due to the pride she carries that comes hand-in-hand with being the youngest member of the Mejiro family. She wishes for nothing more than for her skills as a trainer to be at least on par with, or perhaps stronger than her older siblings, parents, and relatives before her, believing it would make them proud.

Appearance: Regan is a tall, slim woman with pale skin, green eyes, and hair that is strawberry blonde in color, hanging just passed her shoulders. She is described to have a graceful gait, and a fiery sparkle in her eye, amplified when faced with the adrenaline of battle. She wears a white, rather short dress with sparkling white tights underneath, all lined with gold, giving her a burning look in the light. She wears light grey shoes and matching gloves as well.
Personality: Despite her alliances, Regan is generally a decent person, caring deeply for her pokemon. Albeit with a very short, fiery temper and strict training style and schedule that makes her choice to main the fire type very fitting. She doesn't have the greatest social skills, or much care for the emotions of others. If she thinks someone an idiot, she'll tell them how it is, with no regards to their ego. She also does not take too kindly to being intimidated, and will stubbornly defend herself from anyone if she feels it neccessary.

Appearance: The first thought many people have about Farah's appearance is that they are eighter build like a brick house or must build them for living. Their height is just a bit below seriously intimidating (5′10″), but their blocky physique of wide shoulders and heavy build make up really well for it.
But that is where all their possible comparisons to a grizzly bear end- Their round warm-brown face is littered with beauty marks, and their expertly done mascara only amplified the deepness of their emotive chocolate eyes.
Their curly black hair is done in a quiff that is separated in the middle by a wide glittering azure blue headband.
Farah dons sapphire overalls over a white shirt with long frilled bell-like sleeves but it's all covered in a long-sleeved belted cotton poncho that gives them an appearance of an oversized budgie. Its base is mocha brown and depicts a canopy of thin white branches flooded with cherry blossoms of all shades of blue, with the trims lined with soft white fur.
Over that, they slung uncharismatically plain black travel backpack, with two big side pockets that individually store their trusty kalimba and a make-up palette that's quite extensive, considering the current civil war (Actually, everything about their appearance makes it seem like the civil war simply avoided them all this time. The sight makes quite a few people angry, but the shameless Farah prides themselves on their appearance and seem determined to never stop keeping it up until their last breath.).
Personality: Farah grew up with their baba Roshans (Producer/Playwright) songs and the pampering of mother Belinda (Costume designer), who is no longer among us- and so it's a surprise to no-one that Farah grew up to be a songbird merely donning a human body.
Constantly wrapped in the world of their own, their life is a play that they have no qualms about pulling people into it, thriving in the attention of others and finding it hard to drop a role when the time calls for it.
Certainly a touchy fella with their just-a-tad performative heart constantly on their sleeve, with a long track of dismissing boundaries of social norms, common sense or people. You eighter love them or loathe them with the equal passion they adore the world with.
They frequently helped out at Newhavens construction sites, although their complete inability to stay quiet and still for long led to many workers memorizing too-catchy songs against their will and misplaced drillings.
Despite being a bane to with an all-focus/no-play attitude, they were part of the crew and the day they left for Mount Quetmel, a number of development sites went quiet as the city's workers took a day off to properly wave them off in place of their family.

Personality: Tranquil. That’s what he comes across as. Sara is a calm, parently, and likeable persona, a person who puts up very little fuss and tends to keep to themselves. He, in general, is neutral. On everything. That being said, Sara is extremely stubborn, rebellious and sardonic. He doesn’t take orders well, tending to snap back or put his feet down whenever he is ordered to do something. He is a free-spirit, and very independent, making working with him to be difficult at times. Additionally, he has a fundamental distaste for strict order, and tends to put his foot down whenver he feels that he is being bossed around. However, Sara doesn’t allow his feelings to jeopardize himself or his teammates, and works just as well in group settings as in solitude. He has a no-nonsense attitude toward command, and is more than willing to assert himself and put his foot down if he feels overwhelmed. However, he is truthfully one of the most creative and artistic members of the resistance, willing to put a fun spin on any dull activity. Sara is actually a bit of a klutz, always misplacing things, always disorganized, always stumbling over his own feet.
