Ares stared for a moment “....If it’s getting serious.” He stood up
straight, cracking his knuckles “Then so will I.” A sphere of
concentrated energy surrounded the elder Lucario for a few moments,
before breaking away. Ares... Mega Evolved.
None of the attacks could keep up with Mega Ares. He converted his
life aura into Magic, as he tracked down and sort of pattern,
tracking with his aura sense
Fortem was struck by an orb of fire, and quickly rolled in a puddle
from the previous water attacks. By the end of this, his fur would
probably be all black... If this thing had been sent by the
ultrabeasts, he hoped they didn't have any more up their sleeves.
Fortem tried sending a single rock of rock throw back at a few
orbs... maybe he could reflect them back at the cube! His heart
pounded loud in his chest. The stakes were definetely high.
Like before, the fire was easy to dodge...if you didn't panic. Even
in the patterns, it was still slow. The wind and lightning was a
different story though, as they made the fire harder to dodge
Fortem tried to keep an eye on all the patterns as he ducked under
a blast of wind that almost made him stumble. It was a serious game
of dodgeball, where the balls could possible maim you... Fortem
wanted to end the battle quick, and mentally put a finisher move on
the list of things he needed, along with the healing move from
earlier.
A wave of water crashed down on Fortem, and unlike with his spar
with Tenko, he couldn't breathe in it. He coughed up some water as
he was sent to the ground. What could a lycanroc do against such
strong attacks...? He looked around, trying to scramble up an idea.
Ares stood behind Yung’s barrier, converting more of his energy
into magic, he had to be careful not to burn though it to
quickly.”Lets try this... Eclipse!” He fired of the dark magic.
"Thank you!" Fortem said to Yung, his brain still scouring for an
idea. What could he do against all of these falling projectiles...?
Fortem growled, unsatisfied with the bits and pieces he'd come up
with that wouldn't work. Maybe...? As soon as the molten rain
stopped, Fortem decided to try creating a tall platform, and
leaping at the orb from above, then using bite, to crush it
The attacks connected...and some of the attacks disappated. But
there was much more to follow behind. Crackling blades of winds
swept the battlefield, as it started to rain
The elemental attacks were overwhelming... Fortem found himself
being constantly battered down and bombarded by rain and wind and
all of the other elements. He tried sheltering himself in stones,
but they broke after half a minute. If only he had trained more...
Ares leapt at the enemy before them, using Aura Barriers as foot
hold when nessecary. We wanted to try something but it would only
work if he was very close.
