"Maybe we can use attacks that might break up the winds?" Fortem
suggested, but he sounded skeptical. It was worth a try, maybe...
Fortem tried stone edging, blocking some of the wind's paths.
Perhaps a big stone might stop some? He seriously doubted it, but
Fortem was willing to take what he could get by now.
Her first reaction was to curl around Emerald again, her dark eyes
pale with terror. Mordred hissed, her tail lashing furiously. The
Theivul’s heart and mind were racing, her brows furrowing.
"Nice job, Emerald!" Fortem said, looking in the direction of the
riolu and Mordred. His temporary distraction caused him to stumble
again from the gusts sweeping around his paws. He hopped back
behind one of his rocks to get away from them.
Helda had, somehow, managed to dodge most of the electricity
attacks, but didn't bother to avoid the fire ones - they had done
almost nothing to her. The wind was harder, and she was getting
buffeted around a lot by it, which annoyed her. She slammed into
one of Fortem's rocks, forcing out a groan. The winds parted from
the impact, allowing her to drop to the floor, where she stayed,
knowing the wind would be stronger if she stood.
Fortem yelped as the freezing drops touched his pelt. He... wasn't
a fan of rain, to say the least, especially cold rain... what could
they do? "Hmm...." He was lost in thought while shivering for a
bit. "Oh! Hiro! Yung! Please can you try to put us in bubbles?"
Fortem asked. "It might keep out the water!"
Yung and Hiro both nodded. "Roger that!" Suddenly, everyone was
surrounded by blue and purple bubbles. Soon...the water attacks did
absolutely nothing.
Fortem whipped around as he shook off the rain, though he had the
feeling he was going to get wet again soon... He hopped back as a
powerful jet of water roared past him, crashing audibly on the
ground far away. If that thing hit a bubble, it would probably
break it, not that he didn't have faith in Yung or Hiro... It was
just really strong. Fortem tried blocking the cube by summoning a
sturdy rock in front of it to block the sprays, and prayed the rock
wouldn't break... Though, with the speed of the water, there was a
high chance.
Ares nodded “Of course. Can’t let my gaurd down with an opponent
this strong....” all the power in the area distorted his aura
sense. An aura sphere began gathering in his paws
Ares changed the sphere into a barrier that expanded outwards.
“Watch below as well as above. We don’t know exactly what it’s
parameters and limits are, besides the fact it looks like it can
only use one element at a time”
The bigger projectiles caused Ares to stumble a little “I’m simply
planning my next move Yung. That’s... all..” He wasn’t sure how
much longer he could hold the barrier
A rock fell on top of Fortem, pinning him down and knocking the
wind out of him... It luckily rolled off, but one of Fortem's rock
spikes was broken. He got to his feet, and after a moment to
recover, began trying to combat the rocks with rocks from his own
rock throws.
