Sen let out a small sigh, looking at them. It was nice seeing people look after each other.

Itsumo was next. Oh god... she dreaded this moment... She would look silly if she didn’t use her quirk. She wasn’t really the fastest runner here after all. Maybe she could pass without it... She went to the starting line, her hands shaking as she prepared herself. Go... She took off, stumbling a bit as she did due to a small, uneven part of the ground. Well... she was the only one clumsy enough to do that... She finally reached the finish line at 11 seconds, the worst possible time...

“That’s good enough, Itsumo.” Aria went over to comfort her. “Hey, if your Quirk won’t help you physically maybe the teacher will give some allowance? Otherwise all that amazing potential of yours would be wasted! And it would also be unfair for people like us whose Quirks are useless in these situations.” She cautiously sent a wave of calm to Itsumo.

“I could do better if my quirk was a stupid double edged sword...” she muttered under her breath. How was 11 seconds good?! She was 2 seconds slower than Aria and she didn’t even use her quirk... She knew she would have to use her quirk in one of these tests, and she would dread it... Dread it, despise it, hate it, whatever. Using her quirk in a way that would help her pass the test would make her the outcast yet again. Everyone will hate or, or even worse, fear her. That’s what happened in grade school... Even Yurei was different around her after the incident... No, she couldn’t continue thinking about this.

“Hey, Itsumo.” Aria cleared her throat. “I’ve seen all sorts of ‘weird’ and ‘dangerous’ Quirks before. All of them are only dangerous if you can’t use it that well yet. I’m sure that, as you get more in tune with your powers, you can be more in control and it will become less scary to you. Besides, the first step to controlling your power is making sure you believe you can control it.” She grinned at Itsumo. “I won’t judge you for your Quirk, I promise.”

"Itsumo, you seem to be a bit too worried. Don't worry, running isn't everyone's forte. I know this powerless nerd called Samuel. Guy couldn't finish the 100 m he ran. He was only 1/4th the way there when everyone else reached the finish line. But he wrote like heck. You're pretty fast, and when you use your quirk I'm sure you'll dominate the next rounds. I feel the energy from you." Samton said casually, in a comforting tone. He knew Samuel wouldn't mind, it was Samuel making him say all this, after all.

She sighed, knowing that they were just trying to help. It didn’t really do that though... It just made her a bit more nervous. How could she gain control of her quirk when the only way to use it was to do the opposite? She had to lose complete control over her actions and thoughts just to use it, there was no other way around it. The only way she could do something about it was to... No, she already ruled that option out. She looked at Aria and Samton, then gave them a small smile. “Thanks...”

Samton smiled, and said to Itsumo. "Come with me after class, I'll show you something. Just know this now, since we don't have much time, 'To gain control, you must give it up, join the very thing you're trying to change, and be one with it. Then you can change it.'"

Itsumo looked at him blankly, unsure of what to do. How did he.... She ignored the question and simply tried to comprehend his words. Would that really work though? Even if it did, she was too scared to try... She was too scared to do anything... Just then, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She jumped and quickly looked behind her.

Yurei gave her a light smile as he took his hand off her shoulder. “Hey... you did great! Come on, cheer up!” He said gently.

"I know what you're thinking. No, I'm not a mind reader, although that would be cool, I am good at understanding how someone feels from just body language. Your entire body screams worried, and when I mentioned the huge energy part I saw you flinch a bit and bite your lips. So it was easy for me to Sherlock my way into making a wild shot. I'm guessing I was right?"

Itsumo simply sighed and looked at Samton. “Yeah...” she said before looking back at the track.

Yurei gave her a concerned look before giving her a surprise hug. “Come on Itsumo! Stop being so down!” He chuckled.

Samton smiled, and excused himself. He walked to a nearby tree where he couldn't be seen, and started repeatedly smashing his head on it. Why, why WHY? On the very first day? There were weird quirks and then there's him. He kept hitting his head on it, hoping he'd faint.

Daniel wanted a quiet place to think, so he teleported to the top of the nearby building. He had decided to think tactically about how he would attempt the next competition, which he had heard was a baseball throw. Seeing as he was not very good at throwing baseballs, he needed his quirk to give him a hand. His preferred move that he had discovered was what he like to call 'meteor smash' where he teleported high into the air, zoomed down to the earth, and teleported sideways onto his opponent, letting them take the full force of his landing. "Hm, if I can teleport sideways, what's to say I can't teleport upside down?" Well, now he had a plan teleport high up, throw the ball and teleport upside down back to Earth so that all momentum is stopped by gravity.

Marluxia sighs to herself. The class is only going to get tougher, so why are some many people here that'll just give up anyway? Not everyone can be a hero, you just gotta know when to call it a day. At least thats her philosophy.

Mark was a bit confused as to what was happening. Daniel just teleported somewhere else and whatnot,so he just sat beside Sen and waited.

Daniel saw that Mark was finished, so he decided to have one go of his plan and then go say hi. He teleported about twenty meters up, and then teleported upside down back onto the building. "Wow, that actually worked" he thought. "All right, time to go see Mark". He teleported back to where Mark and Sen is were sitting. "Hi guys" he said. He sat down. "I saw you race" he said to Mark, "it really looked like you had my quirk!"
