Fortem grabbed the scroll in his maw, and felt a surge of
adrenaline rush through him. He leaped quickly from platform to
platform, and finally hit the ground, feeling the shock of the fall
wave through his legs. Checking to see that Emerald and Drew were
near, he rushed throrugh the door.
Fortem huffed and puffed. "Mine too," He wheezed. "Now, I hope this
scroll was worth it." He found mewtwo tending to the other pokemon
in the other room. "Mewtwo?" He called.
After Drew got pushed, he fell and slid on the ground scraping
himself. He looked at the scroll Fortem was holding. “Your right,
this better be worth it.” Drew said, rubbing his scrape on his
face.
"We found this in the other room," He explained, still a little out
of breath. "It collapsed, but we made it out safely, with this.
Emerald says you might be able to read it," He handed him the
scroll, hoping that his Riolu friend was correct.
"Id guess theres one in each temple," Fortem reckoned. "After all,
we found the forest cello and the mountain marimba each in a
different temple, so there must be more."
[All]
“The instruments are used to perform ‘the Sacred Duet.’ They can
provide wishes to those who unite them. One must sing, and one must
play the leading melody to the singer.”
Fortem hesitated. "I'm no good with instruments... and If I sang,
it would probably cause an earthquake," Fortem laughed. "One step
at a time, I guess. Does it say anything else?"
"White materia? Battle against space time?" He asked, confused. It
didn't help that Fortem was also pretty exhausted. He twitched his
tail, and sat down to rest for a moment.
Fortem nodded. "Sounds good!" He counted up the group. 20, that was
good, it was the same amount they'd came in with. He nodded at the
group, and led them slowly out of the temple. All of them were
tired.
