Fortem looked around at the positions of each block and imagined
putting them in the right places before he did, and his plan seemed
to be working well. Spacial awareness... yeah, he wasn't too bad at
that. He guessed he was decent with positioning things. With a
final nudge, he moved the last block to the last switch with a.

Winter stood to the side, studying the blocks carefully. If they
messed up, he didn't want to know what would happen then. Once he
believed he'd found a path, he pushed a block very carefully along
the path, constantly double checking as he did so. "Don't screw
this up..." he muttered
[Fortem]
Fortem had completed the puzzle...but nothing happened? At least it
seemed like nothing happened yet. Not in this room. Something had
happened somewhere else though
Fortem's ears perked up. "Hey, do you think something happened in
the room to the right?" He reasoned, turning to face Winter. "I
could tell the noise came from near by, and that seems like a
reasonable option..." He was feeling more confident after putting
all the blocks in place.
“WHAT IS THAT?!” Drew said in a panic. He charged up the flame
blast to hopefully block the black orb of energy the Darkrai has.
“Guys, do you think that we can block it somehow?” Drew asked. If
all else failed, the only solution to him was dodging and fighting
back.
Winter shrugged again. "Let's just go." He exited the room and
entered the one on the right. "That explains why this one didn't
lock as we went in..." He looked around, studying the room. This
should help them find that amulet, right? Though he assumed this
temple would be harder than the last one. Was it another puzzle?
Fortem nodded once again, a little proud of the puzzle they
completed. He went back out of the room, and into the next one. He
sniffed and scanned the room again, listening intently for anything
like gears, or other pokemon that might be lurking around here to
attack.
[Drew]
“Keep your wits about you Drew!” Emerald said as Darkrai launched
the attack. He dived to one side and threw an Ice Punch...which
phased through
[Fortem, Winter]
The right room had a hoard of Geodudes.
Fortem figured that these pokemon probably wouldn't want to reason
either. He created a flat stone edge platform, lifing he and winter
off the ground, too high for the geodudes to reach. A perfect place
to strategise, or to attack with the high ground, useful when
against geodudes.
Winter wasted no time, using ice shard to provoke them. If one of
them exploded, it could impact the others as well. And ther was
nothing more satisfying than taking out an entire hoard of geodude
in one fell, easy swoop.
Fortem sent a flurry of rocks from rock throw down on a pile of
geodudes, trapping them. As the pokemon struggles to get out, they
mistook each other for rubble, and hit each other. Fortem thought
it was a pretty creative strategy, leaving him with more energy.
Still, he didn't like looking at all the scratches and injuries on
the geodudes... He leaped off the platform and kicked some geodudes
away, not injuring them, but making it hard for them to attack.
Fortem created a shield barrier with rocks, blocking him and winter
from the attacks, then got rid of it. If they were working
together, might as well learn how to fight together. "They're
attacking in synch," Fortem observed. "Maybe they have a leader,
and they're communicating in some secret way? If we can find the
leader, we might be able to confuse them and send them running." He
scanned the crowd of geodudes, looking for one in the middle, or
one that looked like a leader.
Winter used powder snow, it sunk into the cracks of the rocks and
shattered them to pieces. He slid down the platform, using
extrasensory on them all. If they had a single mind, this should
really hurt it. His creative stradegies weren't really seeing
opportunity for use, so he battled normally.
“Ok!” Drew said. Drew nearly dodged the ball of darkness. There, he
had fully charged his flame blast up. Drew got all of the heat
inside him to let out a big fiery blast with intense heat to
Darkrai. Drew saw what happened when the ice punch phased through
Darkrai. “That ice punch phased through?! How?” Drew shouted. Drew
was unsure about the flame burst, he didn’t train with it much, so
it wasn’t super strong.. “Hopefully it doesn’t phase through.” Drew
thought.
[Fortem, Winter]
The Geodudes were working together. Some throw more rocks, some
rolled them on the ground towards them, which would This would
force Winter and Fortem to jump upwards
[Drew]
The Flame Burst...went through? Why weren't the attacks having any
effect? Emerald was frustrated... this didn't make any sense...
Mewtwo couldn't do anything as Psychic types had little effect on
Dark types but even so...what was this guys power?
Fortem leaped, making another platform of rocks to stand on. "What
if we split them apart?" Fortem suggested. "If they're stronger in
numbers, we can isolate them. I'll make stone barriers to stop the
others while you get one at a time?" He suggested, facing the icy
pokemon.
"Sounds tedious. They're standing in one group. Isolating them
seems dumb when grouping them together is the better approach,
especially with geodude. These pokemon explode, damaging all
pokemon around them, including each other." He charged another ice
shard, reforming the one in his mouth. "The best course of action
is to trigger an explosion."
Slightly annoyed, Fortem's fur bristled. If you kept them in one
group, they could keep working together! Besides, these certainly
weren't just regular geodudes, they hadn't said a single word, but
were communicating. "Sure, you do you." Fortem told winter. In the
mean time, from his platform, he summoned a stone edge wall,
blocking off one geodude from the rest of the group. He threw rocks
on it with rock throw, burying it, so Fortem didn't have to look at
the injuries.
