"Let's move forward." Winter repeated, walking into the door that
would lead into the next room. He still needed some time to vent
out his negative emotions on before facing his crush again.
Battling would be the perfect way to do this, also to get his mind
off worrying for Meka, even though he knew he shouldn't. Meka was a
fine battler and a legendary pokemon...but still. "Please don't
make me do all the battling." He muttered, his respect for the
lycanroc was rapidly failing due to his first impression of him
being plain insensitive, and now the fact that he didn't really
battle that well. He didn't even know his name...was it right to
judge him? Perhaps not, but he'd been caught at a bad time.
Fortem nodded, following the icy vulpix into the next room. He
tensed his paws, ready to stone edge at any moment. He scanned the
room, looking around.
Winter entered the room at a fast trot, his fear a bit muffled by
the emotions he hated feeling. It felt like torture, he just begged
something to appear just so he could beat something up. He was
normally pretty chill, but things like this just...got to him. He
blew out a bit of frost just to vent it out.
Fortem felt winter's frustration, but thought the cold vulpix
probably didn't want him to do anything about it... Meka had
probably told him about the temple fight, he realised. And the
fierce pokemon probably didn't like that he wasn't big on
attacking... but he couldn't help it. Besides, when armies went to
war, it was the farmers, the builders, the defenders who really
kept the city together. He observed the maze, waiting for something
to come out and attack.
Drew looked at different texts until he heard that, surprised on
how Mewtwo could read it. “What else?” Drew said from the other
side of the room. Drew walked to all texts, both trying to
understand the text, while listening to Mewtwo. Although Drew
couldn’t translate most texts, it was worth a shot trying to read
them. Then Drew remembered the tune the instrument played in the
first temple. “Could it be connected?” Drew thought to himself.
[Drew]
"That's far enough. This is why that Lucario had to be taken away."
A cold voice could be heard as the Darkrai appeared once more.
Mewtwo tensed up, looking furious. Emerald on the other hand,
looked surprisingly calm
Fortem looked at the two doors. He wasn't keen on splittting up
(something bad could happen to winter, or himself, and the other
wouldn't know). He cautiously sniffed each door, trying to get more
information about other passageways behind them.
Winter kept near the Lycanroc, sniffing the doors as well. As much
as he really didn't know this guy, he was all Winter had at the
moment, and he'd rather not get lost alone. He wanted to get this
amulet, whatever it took, so be it if he had to attempt to make
this lycanroc fight. That or do the battling himself. He added more
powder to his shard.
Once the Darkrai appeared, Drew immediately saw Mewtwo, furious on
one side, and Emerald, calm, on the other. Drew started to get
really angry, and ready to attack but when he heard “This is why
Lucario was taken away.” Drew resisted his anger to make a
realization. “It said Lucario was taken away, not dead. Could
Lucario still be alive?!” Drew thought blank-faced. Although he had
resisted his anger, Drew still had to be on guard. Drew readied his
flame blast, in case on an attack. “Why can’t we go any further?!”
Drew shouted to Darkrai.
"Hmm... how about we take the left one then?" Fortem suggested. He
liked going left to right, like reading a book, and he was
methodical when he had the choice. Besides, there weren't any
differences between them either way. He turned to Winter, waiting
for an answer.
Winter shrugged. "Why not?" He mumbled around the shard in his
mouth. He went into the doorway of the left door, on alert. He just
wanted to fight something.
[Fortem, Winter]
The left door was opened... it seemed like more of a puzzle this
time. 3 switches. 3 blocks. Tracklines to guide the rocks to the
switches
Fortem opened the door, ready to stone edge up a shield or step at
any time. The pokemon here knew earthquake, which Fortem had
learned was quite a dangerous move. He carefully stepped into the
room, and looked around, feeling nervous, but steady. "Hmm...
what's this?" He looked at the switches and blocks, gears whirring
in his head. "Maybe we have to match the blocks to the switches...
the question is, which ones?"
"Whichever ones can get to the switches without the others getting
in the way, if I know puzzles." Winter had seen something like this
in his few years of school and video games. "Except here there may
be no reset button."
Fortem studied the blocks and switches some more, looking for
similarities that might make them match up. He cautiously nudged a
block a little, as it moved with ease along the track line. At
least they wouldn't have the problem of not being able to push the
blocks at all. "No reset button... yeah, you're right." He looked
at them again, but couldn't find any similarities.
