May quickly turned around and raised an eyebrow. She didn’t exactly expect for her to recover that quickly... She felt something surrounding her hand and immediately used the other icicle to try and stab Scarlet’s hand. She replaces her reaction time for strength, momentarily considering increased body heat but that would melt the other icicle and leave her slightly sweaty and with a small fever (of course). She breaks the ice, sad that she didn’t have her other weapon but meh.

The frost helps stop the bulk of the attack, but it still pierces her hand. She holds her hand against her chest and walks back a few steps. It'll take her a bit longer to numb up this wound. But she'll still have to be on guard. "You are stronger than I imagined..." Scarlet points out. "Very impressive"

“Oh stop it! You’re making me blush!” May sneered, letting out a small giggle afterwards. She made a swift kick to Scarlet’s knees, hoping that she would hit and it would knock her off balance. “You’ve been a fun playmate, I’m starting to like you!” She laughed as she got closer to Scarlet

Scarlet collapses, but she manages to catch herself with her unharmed hand. Once May is close enough she leaps forward. She places both hands on May's shoulders, wincing from her hurt hand. She tries to freeze May's arms into her side, or at the very least, she hopes she can make May cold, which'll make her movements slower

May growls in frustration once Scarlet made her move. She got annoyed when her opponents were making foolish moves like this left and right. She decided to sacrifice her only weapon and her heat tolerance for enhanced body heat, instantly melting the ice and making Scarlet’s hands uncontrollably warm. May didn’t use this much and never had a reason to make it more bearable by taking really hot showers, so it made her uncomfortable too. She tried not to show it as she replaced her reaction time with strength and thrust her hand upwards/downwards (depending on how her arm is positioned) on Scarlet’s elbow, the hit was swung from the opposite direction the elbow bended, so it would hurt much worse than a direct hit to the inside of the arm.

Scarlet was really starting to get fed up with May's powers. She haven't predicted that they would be this powerful. The heat affect Scarlet more than if affected May. She is once again forced to back away from May in order to try to temporarily heal herself. By that, she means she has to freeze her wound. It helps numb it, so she won't feel it, but she'll need to get treated later She summons another spear, frustration was clear on her face. "Let's see you fight without a weapon" she challenges

“Weapons are just a small treat to add to the kill!!” She giggled before covering her mouth with her hand. “Oops! Did I say that out loud? I meant attack, of course!” She smiled, her speed, reaction time, and heat tolerance at her disposal.

Sam watches this as he waits for his
eventual turn. blinding light starts to shine around
Sam's hand, eventually enveloping the entire hand.
Sam looks scared at this and starts to freak out.
"no...no...no..." he mutters to himself. he keeps
ahold of his katana and his hand continues to shine
even brighter, to the point where May and Scarlet might be
distracted by it.

Scarlet shuts an eye and turns her ahead away from the blinding light. She raises an eyebrow, looking slightly amused by what May have said. She throws the spear at the ground in front of May, her muscles burning from the power behind it. The spear hits the ground, causing small shards of ice to blast into the air between them. She leaps towards May, she tries to launch a punch at her throat. She is careful to not have too much power behind it. This may be a fight, but Scarlet had no desire to actually damage May.

activate, and he doesn't want it to.

Julie looked over at Sam, terrified, worried, and very confused. She didn’t really know what to do in this situation... She was scared out of her mind that she would have to fight, and worried about Sam at the same time. “H-hey... Are you o-ok?” She muttered, trying to hide her fear. Wasn’t this guy not supposed to have powers? Then again, she wasn’t supposed to either but this never happened to her.

May could’ve easily grabbed Scarlet’s fist to stop the punch if it wasn’t for the ice shards. Some of the sharper ones got caught in her grip, practically stabbing her as she tried to stop the punch. She gritted her teeth, trying not to show her pain as she lost her balance and stumbled, making her vulnerable to another quick punch.

his eyed filled with what can only be
pure, unsullied fear. suddenly, the glowing
stops, and Sam sighs in relief, still clutching
his katana.

Luke gets out his violin and starts playing dramatic fight music, as he couldn’t help not being nervous about what was going to happen now, or what would happen next in the future fight that he was going to be forced to be in.

Scarlet stupidly doesn't use May stumbling back to her advantage. She stands in her spot with clenches fists, hair spilling over half her face as she glares at May. "I finally managed to land a good hit... I think we are even now. Shall we forfeit? Or do you want to continue?" She asks calmly.

Hearing the music coming from the two, Saburo grinned but kept his head down. Tapping his foot to the beat, he mouthed a few lyrics that popped into his head, setting down his game. The song wasn't exactly suitable for rapping, but he did him along, his melodic voice adding to the background music

“You’re pretty dumb to think I would forfeit without a true victory...” she muttered, a small grin was barely showing itself. She wouldn’t back down until one of them had been knocked unconscious, or even died. She really didn’t care.

"Hmm, I can respect that... very well" Scarlet backs away a few steps, waiting patiently for May to stand back up. It felt wrong to attack someone while they were down. She couldn't help but feel nervous for May. Unlike May, Scarlet knew when to quit. She doesn't want May to push herself too far.

May could see the look Scarlet gave. Her expressions were so clear to her, it was like she could read he mind. She laughed as she got up, slightly angry that she allowed herself to be put on the ground. “Oh don’t worry! I promise I won’t do anything too harsh!” She said cheerfully, not really knowing if she was lying or not. She placed her hands on her hips and looked at Scarlet curiously. “Hmm... Why didn’t you attack me while I was down? Could’ve given you the advantage~” May asked.

Scarlet shrugs. "It's not fair to hit someone while they are down. I would rather lose a fair fight than win by taking advantage of an unfair situation" she replies. She smiles, a bit amused by May's promise. "Don't hold back, this'll give me a chance to get stronger" she adds humbly
