Shadow saw Alex practicing dagger fighting on a dummy, and walked over to give him a few tips. “Stand like this, he demonstrated, and when you thrust, you want to lunge forward, like this. Also, the best grips for me is with the thumb braced, and there are different ways to hold the dagger for different effects. Also, you always want to stay in a defensive pose. Here, let me show you the pose and the grips...

Alex shrugged. The dagger he held fit well in the grip of his small feline fangs, and he'd rather be able to use all5 of his weapons: 4 sets of claws and a dagger. Shadow's methods definetely worked for paw grip, but didn't seem to work well with his grip. He couldn't really pierce with the dagger in his mouth, and the stance didn't feel right to him either. He dropped the dagger. "Thanks, Shadow, I appreciate it, but I'm not sure if this would work with the dagger in my maw." Alex said, a little unenthusiasticly.

Alex thought for a minute, then nodded. It would be good to fight, maybe it would distract him from the guilt and anxiety eating away at his mental health (mood). "Sure, I'm up for a spar," Alex said calmly. He picked up his gleaming bronze dagger. He had already gotten quite used to it; he was very adaptable. The faster you could adapt, the better, to Alex. He walked 20 paces away from Shadow, and whipped around. "Ready?" He asked, though it sounded muffled as he clenched the dagger in his teeth.

Woah woah woah. Shadow pulled out two wooden daggers. Let’s spar with these. We don’t want to get hurt! He tossed it to Alex, and got in a defensive stance. He could already see that Alex would be a worthwhile opponent. Clearly, he was a natural.

Alex set his bronze dagger and scarf/cloth aside, and picked up the wooden dagger. It was something new to examine, which made him happy. The daggers were the same length, which could be tricky, but the blades were dulled slightly, which would also keeo them safe.

Alex tried to determine the 'feel' of the dagger in his jaws. It felt more lightweight than the bronze one, which would mean that his attacks could be quick, but would have a hard time being forceful, and he wouldn't be able to make much use of the weapon's momentum. The analysis kept the guilt at bay, but he could still feel it, like dogs howling in the back of his head.

"Okay, thanks. I'm ready." Alex stared eagle eyed at Alex, trying to pinpoint where his first attack would be. His heart pounded fast, and he could already feel himself filling with adrenaline, as he waited for any sign that Shadow might give to begin.

Lyra was heading toward a cave, it wasn’t the hardest quest it was more for beginners but she decided to do it anyway so it would be done. She wanted to get there as soon as possible. By the time she did, it was noon. Going into the cave, she peered into a leering that only had about, 3 dragons. She quickly used her bow on one of them, showing her location. She did a few quick shots of her arrow, hitting two of them multiple times. They both fell to the ground and perished. There was one more left, it looked like the alpha. She used a few boom boom bow shots on it and after a few minutes it fell to the ground and perished too.

Amberstorm decided that maybe she should practice with her bow and hoped that no one at the guild minded since she hadn't truly signed up yet. She headed towards some targets and started to practice her aim.

Skye sat off to the side of where Amberstorm was and watched her practice. She was starting to feel more comfortable around the other cat since both of them had a few things in common.

Miko followed Silver, flying over the trees towards the snow-tipped mountains. "Silver, why are we going to the mountains? Did you want to practice flying or something? No, you know there are dragons here..." She gave Silver a curious look, she was still getting used to her wings, and Silver had to be too, so why were they going to see the dragons who had, non coincidentally, been attacking them a lot recently?

"The last quest...before we went to Yellowtail Beach, that was where we went, Alex and Shadow wanted to enter dragon territory to attack the dragons." Silver stared at Miko with an intense green stare. "They want war, Miko, for a couple of increased attacks. If we have a war, I want Starlight to be the decision maker. So I went to get you. Miko, we are going to spy on the dragons from Crystal cave. Let's see if we really have a reason to declare war on the dragons." Silver was gliding over the sparkling crystals of snow below, they were over the mountains now, flying so fast, and the cold winds were ruffling their fur as they came closer to Dragon's Tower.

Shadow held the dagger loosely. He knew that Alex would play this safe, due to his street instincts, and he would too. He started strafing Alex, going around him in every tightening circles, ready to defend or attack when necessary.

Alex waited for a few seconds, pinpointing Shadow's exact position. Street cats might play it safe sometimes, but risks were a very necessary and essential part of their life. Plus, a friendly spar was a good place to let out his impulsiveness. Alex hoped Shadow wouldn't know. Unexpectedly and quickly, Alex leaped at Shadow, knocking him in the side with the flat of his dagger, hoping to unbalance him, or numb his front paw.

He drew back. Alex truly was creative when using the dagger. However, after Alex lunged forward, he was unbalanced. Talking Alex, shadow pushed him to the ground, and thrusted his dagger at him.

Luckily for him, Alex had been in a situation like this before. The cat that has bullied him relentlesly for years had pinned him down once like this, and he hadn't been so fortunate. This time, Alex knew that to do. He wiggled under shadow like a snake, twisted the dagger in his mouth to have the sharp edge facing upwards, and pushed up with his spine, leaping, and sending Shadow flying.

Flipping several times, Shadow landed gracefully. He kept a scared front, but inside, he smiled. He so far was succeeding in luring Alex into a false sense of security. In fact, he basically jumped off Alex, trying to trick him, and was barely scratched by the dagger. He then charged forward, pretending to go headfirst, but jumped over Alex, landing on his blind side, and struck with his dagger.

Alex stayed on edge, never knowing what would be coming next. He had taken his first few attacks to see Shadow's dagger attacks first hand. So far, shadow had only been using his dagger. Shadow's dagger connected, sending a sharp pain down Alex's spine. He hissed from the cut, but now at least, he knew what he had to do now. He just needed to get into the right postition, which might take a while. Instead of using just his dagger like Shadow was, he pressed his front paws into the ground and reared backwards. Finishing off his unique attack, he slammed his hindquarters into Shadow's face. He had learned to use everything avaliable to him to attack, and that included every bit of his body. Then, he whirled around, trying to figure out how he was going to pull his plan off.

Shadow slid back, shocked. “Wow, he is really versatile”, he thought. Alex’s weakness was his mobility. It would be really hard for him to reach Shadow with his daggers. For his Paws, well... Shadow needed to be wary of those. Then he had an idea. Running towards Alex, he pretended to do the same move again, but slid, knocking Alex’s paws out, making him fall down.

Alex tumbled to the ground, but somersaulted and hopped back to his feet. That was a sneaky move, but thankfully, Alex wasn't really harmed, just slightly bruised. He'd been thinking of ways to pull off, his strategy while practicing, and he had finally come up with a solution: reverse psychology. He leaped away from Shadow, finally ready to pull off his move.

Alex leaped at Shadow, springing off the ground unexpectedly. He twisted his dagger onto the hilt of shadow's dagger, sending it falling to the ground. Unfortunately, the move also dragged Alex's one out of his mouth. The two cats stood there, huffing for a minute, empty pawed and empty mouthed. Finally, Alex spoke. "Call it a draw for now?"

Lyra was looking around to see if the dragons had any more, but it looked like all she got was about 250 gold from this. She exited the area and headed back to the guild. When she returned home the sun was still in the sky. All she wanted to do now was train until her body went limp. So she went to the training area.
