Graystrike sighed. "Killing a mouse won't do us any good. Same
thing with the queens. They might have banned us for no reason but
if we kill them that supports their claim of us being killers and
psychopaths." He said.
Lily looked up as Phoenix walked into the room. Phoenix walked over
and looked at what Lily was working on. "That is good wording."
Phoenix said, pleased with Lily's work. Lily smiled and put the ink
and scrolls away in a place that no one but herself could access.
Spiri began to think about the queens. After a while of silence,
Nightflower had gone to sleep. Spiri felt happy for her, the void
and dreams brought by unconsciousness would be a peaceful break
from the chaos that their lives had become ever since their kind
had been forbidden.
Fireheart closed his eyes to try and sleep. Suddenly, visions
appeared, a seemingly endless flow of them. He saw futures where
hybrids were wiped out, ones where they lived in peace with the
pure dragons once more, ones where there were animus dragons
working for the queens and others where there weren't. He let out a
low growl as they continued to sweep over him in an endless wave.
Brightfire decides that he should go and find Phoenix. He gets out
of the cave and goes out to find Phoenix.
Barry is still walking and hears a conversation. He sees Phoenix
and Lily talking, but ignores it, thinking it is just something
that friends do, not like he ever tried to make any of them.
Spiri curled her crystalline tail around her talons and lay down,
resting her nose on the tip of it. She couldn't fall asleep just
yet. She couldn't stop thinking of the dangers she and the other
hybrids were in, threats posed by the queens of the 'pure' tribes.
Darkgazer was thinking about what to do when suddenly, she had an
idea. She jumped off the ledge she was on and flew out of the cave.
She headed towards the Nightwing village at full speed. She had
remembered something that could help them attack the hybrids, even
underwater.
Graystrike walked into his and Fireheart's cave and saw his brother
sitting in the middle of the room, tail lashing and teeth clenched.
Graystrike carefully walked over and wrapped his wings around him.
"You okay?" He asked. Fireheart shrugged. "Just being shown every
possible future that will come out of this war..." Fireheart
replied.
Smallfly was a tad bit busy experimenting with her flamesilk and
fire breath. WHich made food taste better? Gently roasting it
versus ENGULFING IT IN FLAMES? The flamesilk option made it better,
she thought, chomping the gently roasted. She looked around to see
if any other hybrids were around, ones with (ugh) families.
Spiri made her way out of the cave, walking around the underwater
island. She knew they'd never be fully safe unless they made made
peace with all the queens. But, if Nightflower's vision was
anything to be believed, which Spiri was more sure than anyone that
it was, the Queens didn't seem to be willing to make peace anytime
soon, but, if she was going to settle here for a while, she might
as well know the place. Honestly, giving in to her curiosity was
comforting right now.
Flying up, Smallfly noticed Fireheart and Greystrike. She rolled
her eyes, the boys meant well, but they just seemed so,
dependent on each other. She never had a family, and she
didn't care. She secluded herself when her cocoon came. She doubted
anybody realized she had went missing. Regardless, she flew down,
greeting the boys.
As she wandered, Spiri made a mental map of the island, exploring
every nook and cranny of the place. She took mental note of the
best places to hide and trap opponents if they were attacked, and
began trying to plan paths to flee if need-be. She thought she
might as well, since her active brain was keeping her from sleep.
Seclusion is still wearing his aquatic trinket. He has also swam
away from the island to explore and establish a perimeter. 'Maybe
an animus could enchant a perimeter to alert us if a pure dragon is
coming.' He swam in a large circle around the island, occasionally
snapping at a fish.
Noting that two were probably busy, Smallfly flew up and began
looking around. She saw the dark figure of a dragon in the water,
and a dragon in a rabbit hole? Weird. She half considered going to
Phyrria, but then shuddered. She would die there. Perhaps she would
try and find a hunting buddy, as she noted a dragon on an
underwater island. Nah. She decided to just kinda sit there,
heading to a more wooded part of the island.
