On PH, I prefer shinies because they go for way more than mega-ables, plus to get a mega you need a mega stone which is pretty expensive even with the drop.

Design-wise, I like megas better than shinies since shiny Pokemon is literally just a recolor. Some look horrible too.

I'd prefer shinies over Megas 8/10 times (there are some shinies that are trash and some megas that are super cool!)

From what I see, shinies are more rare and are more expensive.. so naturally, I would choose shiny.
