Avo stared focusing on the shelter while people did their work, tying the platform to some trees to have it rest above the ground and lower the risk of anybody getting any bugs while sleeping. There where tons of people so the platform had to be large enough for them all. Afterwards, laying leaves on the sticks for comfort and finishing. The sat on a log and wiped off their sweat before getting baraded again. "Oi! swatch at ye, pretendin' yoo're some big shot leader, please, by 'at knotwork, ye coods barely leid a fesh tae water. ha!"

Ginger had picked a decent amount of berries, she hadn’t strayed for from camp so her return was quick. “Hey! I found some berries! Where should I put ‘em?”

Avo pondered on the berry situation. They didn't have a fire yet so it had to be put on wood. He got off his stump and grabbed a log, chopping it in thirds and lining it up to make a crude bowl. "This should work, if we get more later, I can make some sort of storage container but this crafting stuff takes a bunch of energy."

Kyu looked from Vexan to Ginger, Kyu then pulled out the marshmallows that Semi had found and put them near the bowl. "We could put all the food in one pile. Put these marshmallows with the berries. " Kyu turned back towards Vexan, concerned for him. "Vexan? Vexan are you okay?"

Avo started to comment "no, we don't know if these berries are safe to eaaaaahhhh my gosh, man down! Man down!" They quickly gave the bowl and rushed over to Vexan and sat him upright to see what could have happened. "What do you guys think? Sun stoke? Famine? Dehydration? Come on kid, talk to me, what's wrong?"

Kyu made a noise like a cry of fear crossed with a silenced scream as she rushed over to him, shaking his arm in attempt to rouse him. All she could get out to Avo was something that sounded like "Shadows engulfed him."

Vexan began coughing and trembling, his eyes rolled back. The shadows were like waves, pulling at his skin and clothing.

Avo had to back away to keep from getting hurt from the thrashing. "Dang it, they must be going into stroke." They turned and cursed under their breath. There wasn't anything he could do now so he had to let it happen..

Kyu tried to grip the shadows and rip them off Vexan's face, but they were shadows so her hands went through them. Unintentionally a weird pink aura started radiating off of Kyu, it was strangly calming.

(I imagine that since she never had them before her powers are at first out of her control, but the more she uses them or has them the better control she gets)
