Roxanne nodded a thank you as she saw the food being placed in front of her. She sat quietly as her bangs covered part of her face.

Rose watched the food be brought out to the family before she headed into the kitchen to help clean up and to get everything ready for the desserts to be made.

Gaz was standing behind Hadrian discretely munching on some bread he had snuck off the table when no one was looking. It would be shameful if they saw a butler eating before his master. Each movement was incredibly quick and it looked more like he was rubbing his nose than anything.

"Sir, you should drink some champagne. It looks good in formal situations." Sonya whispered.
"Sonya, it is the drink of fools. Losing your ability to think, no thank you." Dakota replied a bit loudly.
"Quieter sir. No one wants to hear you insult them." Sonya sighed.

Hadrian chuckled after he heard Sonya, He set his glass down. “Gaz I can see you, I don’t care what anybody thinks but you’re allowed to eat with us” Hadrian said while looking back.

Roxanne took a small sip of her drink and looked at the others. It was rare for her to eat with them due to her being so quiet. She often felt they forgot she was there.

He let out a chuckle before sitting nearby and helping himself to a large plate. "Thanks my lord. I was getting tired of sneaking food."

"So, I am sure we are all wondering why you called us all here your majesty." Dakota began before taking a bite from his food.
"Sir Dakota, please behave. You should wait for dinner to be done before asking questions like that."

At this, Farnando stopped sinking away and was Actaully surprised. He knew this day would come, but it still shook him. And then, he realised, that possibly one of his least favorite members of the family would take control. Hadrain.

(Wait, are Minerva and Kage also part of the family?)

"Hey sir, isn't this a prime chance?" Gaz asked Hadrian in between bites of a chicken leg before frowning. His smile returned when he found the gravy allowing him to pour some on top of his meal.

"Well that is logically sound given your age." Dakota muttered thinking a bit.
Sonya sighed shaking him a bit, "The proper answer should be, long live the king or something like that."
"Yes mom." Dakota taunted.

Roxanne became more quiet than normal and looked shocked. *But...* She thought though didn't let her thoughts finish as she looked to see the other reactions.

“Yes, I know what your all thinking and it’s going to happen. The Vermilion family has followed the same protocol every time a new king was needed. And since Hadrian is my oldest son, He will take the throne” The King said while taking a sip of wine.

Hadrian didn’t even look up but a devilish grin spread across his face.

Luke sat there in disbelief, He was completely afraid of Hadrian. He looked and saw Hadrian grinning. Why is he doing that?!? Luke thought in a panic.

EDIT: (Nope, They are Hadrians accomplices.)

Roxanne noticed the grin and tilted her head in confused, but decided to simply head to her room without finishing dinner. She moved quickly, doubting anyone would see.

Gaz took a few seconds to quickly finish his meal before standing to clap, "Well done my lord! Your goal is one step closer."

"Your majesty, big brother Hadrian is the worst one here in terms of being king logically speaking. Come now Sonya, I'd like to go the library before it closes."
Sonya nodded pushing the chair in for him before quickly falling after him.

Hadrian stood up and walked out, He walked down the hall and looked around. He waited for Gaz.

Luke watched as everybody left, He ate his meal then sat there. Not wanting to leave like everyone else.

Hannah saw Luke sitting around and she walked over and gave him a cookie, “Things will be ok” She said with a smile

There was a ripple of darkness near Hadrien and his assasin (girlfriend also?) appeared. She flashed him a warm smile, and mouthed 'done.' referring to her last assignment
