Lilypaw tilted her head slightly confused, "well Flamestar's own mentor was a newly made warrior when he was apprenticed..." She said partially to herself, "and there are fewer warriors than there are apprentices now" she sighed. She then saw Crowpaw,and Ravenpaw "oh hello you two" she said with a friendly purr.

(Should the meeting begin now)

"Hello everyone," Crowpaw greeted his friends. "Hi~" Ravenpaw sang. "Which one's Ravenpaw and which one's Crowpaw," Koikit winced slightly to try finding differences but the only thing she saw was the difference in eye color.

"Hold on, there's a meeting?" Koikit's ears perked up. "Does that mean we'll get a mentor?" Koikit whispered to Ivykit.

Flame star looked at Shellspeckle "now, but it'll be official after the meeting" he said gently, and looked at the sky. "Might as well do this now since everyone knows about it" he said deciding to push the moon high meeting back to sunset. He then walked away.

Lilypaw was about to respond when Flamestar padded away from Tigerpaw, and Shellspeckle, and nodded a greeting to the small group. He then jumped up to a ledge, and looked out at the clearing below. "All cats who are old enough to catch their own prey, gather for a clan meeting" he called out the familiar summons for the clan. Lilypaw then looked up to the ledge, and saw Tigerpaw walk out of the elders den. Sandfeather left the warriors den, and sat behind Lilypaw. Her expression was unreadable in Sandfeather's yellow eyes.

She nodded. "I think so," She whispered back. She opened her mouth to say something else, but Flamestar interrupted. She looked up to the ledge, twitching her paws excitedly.

The fur between Dawnkit and Snakekit's pads tingled. It was time. They sat next to eachother, locking their tails into eachother in excitement, waiting for their names to be called.

Shellspeckle walked to the meeting area after hearing Flamestar's call. He sat down near Sandfeather and murmured, "Hey, you got the apprentice you wanted."

Owlpaw looked up to Flamestar too, his heart started beating a little faster. I will get a new mentor tonight, he thought.

(oops i gotta make new characters quick. is it alright if you just put the names "Hazeleye" for Dawnkit and "Fidgettail" for Snakekit)

Koikit awaited for Flamestar's announcements, anticipation going to it's max.

"Yeah you're right" Sandfeather said lowly. "Good luck training that kit" she said crossly, and glared at Tigerpaw, who was sitting next to Lilypaw now. If Tigerpaw heard her she didn't show it. The orange she cat kept her gaze fixed on Flamestar.

Flamestar waited for his clan to gather. Once they were in the clearing he began. "DesertClan has lost many warriors, and we are short pawed when it comes to training our apprentices." He began evenly. "For the first time in seasons we will name two new warriors who will become mentors to two kits. These two apprentices have shown their loyalty and strength to the clan time and time again, and I see these apprentices already mature enough to be a mentors." He continued kindly, and beckoned with his tail for Crowpaw, and Ravenpaw to come forward.

Ivykit's heart was thumping out of her chest. Not only for her, but this would be her first time seeing two warriors appointed. "Good luck," She whispered to them.

Crowpaw and Ravenpaw stepped forward, Blackoak and Whitebirch watching them. Both apprentices stood up high, Ravenpaw somehow serious for once.

"Crowpaw, Ravenpaw do you both promise to uphold the warrior code and protect, and defend the clan even at the cost of your own lives?" He asked the apprentices the age old question that was asked for every new warrior.

Tigerpaw watched, and anticipated for her, and Lilypaw's own ceremony in a few moons from now. She glanced over to Sandfeather slightly will she hold Lilypaw back too? Or will she let her become a warrior because Lilypaw is a dark forest apprentice she sighed lowly and thought to herself. She then glanced at Silverpelt show me what to do to save Lilypaw from her dark path she prayed silently to her warrior ancestors.
