Ivypaw flicked the tip of her tail. "What happened?" She asked Lilypaw, with a slight hiss in her tone. "I know something's up. Cats don't normally wake up with claw marks on their fur."

Lilypaw shuffled her paws, and looked as if she didn't want to talk about it "err..it's a long story" she said defensively. She then looked over her shoulder as Tigerpaw walked back into the den, and put the cobwebs in her wounds.

Owlpaw was woken up by the voices of his den mates. He flipped his ear before yawning and got up, stretching his legs. He gave Ivypaw and Lilypaw a grumpy look and meowed "You should definitely learn to talk without waking up half of the clan."
Literally, he added in his thoughts, considering that most cats in the clan were apprentices.

He left the apprentice's den and looked around the camp. He greeted the new warriors with a nod before he headed towards the fresh kill pile. He took a moment to decide, and ended up choosing a mouse for breakfast and ate it while he was waiting for his mentor to wake up.

Flamestar was sitting outside his den, he looked around the clearing at his clan, and saw Owlpaw. "Good morning, Owlpaw." He began as he walked over to his apprentice, and grabbed a Cole for himself. "Would you like to hunt, or do battle training?" He asked kindly. "I haven't really seen what you've learned so it'll be great to see how you're coming along in your training so far"

Owlpaw looked up from his mouse as his leader and new mentor showed up. He greeted him with a blink as he had his mouth full in the moment. He quickly swallowed the bite to answer Flamestars question. "If it's alright, I would like to go hunting" he said with a look at the fresh kill pile, which only was home to a few pieces of prey from yesterday.

Flamestar nodded, and swallowed a bit of vole. "Alright then. We can go to the dried river bed, and see if anything has gone there. I don't think any patrols have been there in a while" he said as he thought of the best hunting places. "We'll go once you finish eating" he replied as he finished his vole, and buried the bones.

Owlpaw nodded and finished eating, buried the bones of the mouse he just ate and stood up. His paws were itching to catch some prey and energy started to flow through his body, but he kept himself from running ahead. Instead, he quickly licked his spiky fur once more and waited for his leader and mentor to take the lead.

Flamestar got to his paws, and stretched. He then padded out of camp, and beckoned Owlpaw to follow him. He parted his jaws in an attempt to pin point any prey that was just outside the camp, but there was no hint, except a very faint scent of mouse. The ginger tom then flicked his ears dismissively, and yawned. "Do you smell anything" Flamestar asked Owlpaw gently.

Owlpaw followed Flamestar outside the camp. When he asked him if he could smell anything, the grey apprentice opened his mouth and let the air run over his tongue with a small inhale. He thought for a moment, then answered: "Only the typical dry desert air, and a faint scent of mouse". He tried again. "And Crowfeather and Ravenfeather, of course", he added after finding nothing else.

Flamestar nodded and smiled "nice job. Crowpelt, and Ravenfeather will stay out there for a little while longer, so you'll scent them. Would you like to follow that mouse scent, even if it's faint I'm sure it'll lead us to its nest" he suggested in a gentle meow.

Snakepaw was dreaming. He found himself in a forest with tree trunks lined with claw marks and the taste of jasmine in the air. The sky was Amber like his pelt and the sky's ball was not gleaming down. Besides this, all was good. Snakepaw took this time to look around and maybe try something different. He started walking and then found himself at a cloudy boarder with nothing but darkness on the other side. He cautiously crossed the line. Darkness. In Dawnpaw's dream, she saw him do this, and decided to follow him. The same outcome.

"Dawnpaw! Wake up!" Snakepaw pushed her side to side with his paws in attempt to wake her up.
"Okay Snakepaw I'm up..." She muttered, picking herself up.

Lilypaw nodded, and sighed in relief. Tigerpaw then looked at Lilypaw "the worst of your wounds will be fine...just get some rest, and if Sandfeather pushes you to hard then kindly decline training" she said gently. She then glanced at Ivypaw "I think it'd be best if we go find our mentors, and begin our training" she said kindly to the new apprentice. She then remembered how ruthless Shellspeckle was when he fought Lilypaw. I need to talk to him... she thought to herself uneasily, and walked out of the apprentice den.

Shellspeckle woke up, panting from his race through the Dark Forest. He hated training there, seeing the rutheless cats trying to murder each other, but he had no choice. The fighting moves could help his clan. Besides, now it was too late to leave.

Tigerpaw sat down in a sunny patch in the center of camp. She looked at the small fresh kill pile, and noticed a small, but plump, mouse sitting at the top. She then grabbed the mouse, and padded toward the elders den, glancing at the Warriors' den on the way. Will this be Sandfeather all over again? she thought to herself with a heavy sigh.

Shellspeckle noticed Tigerpaw coming this way, and imidietally started to groom his ears, trying to look casual. He hoped that Tigerpaw would think that it was all a wierd dream. "Oh hey Tigerpaw! Can I help you?"

Ivypaw nodded and gave a little smile. She padded out into the camp, flicking Koipaw with her tail on the way out to wake her up. Once in the clearing, she stretched and looked around. She considered getting something from the fresh-kill pile, but decided against it.

Tigerpaw looked at Shellspeckle with a cautious glance. "Uh...n..no I've got it...after all I'm only going to see Lightningclaw" she said quietly. She was trying her best to not sound afraid, or suspicious of her new mentor. "Maybe we can go hunting after this..." She continued, and flicked an ear to the pile of fresh kill. "The fresh kill pile is low."

"That would be great!" Shellspeckle said, giving a nervous laugh. " Maybe we can go after the afternoon patrol comes back, and maybe we can bring Sandfeather and Lilypaw!"

Ivypaw looked over curiously to Shellspeckle and Tigerpaw. She's stuttering... She doesn't stutter... She thought, still somewhat suspicious. Ivypaw shook off the feeling quickly. "Mind if I come? I don't think Crowfeather would want to train today... With the vigil and all," She called out to them.
