Nah, I feel like perma- ban is WAY too much. Plus, we already have too much restrictions due to this rule.

Sorry but no, the rules are already pretty tight and this would effictively be restricting people more than there already is.

Permanent bans for the F word? That's going way too over the top. People make mistakes and they shouldn't be hardly punished for them. Let them learn give them a second chance.

And the mods do a pretty good job of keeping people in check and in check with the rules. I see not reason to add further restrictions as there is close to no swearing on the site. (A few may filter here or there but they are put back into line. And the word is removed )

Why try and fix something that isn't broken?

Also, I really don't see how this will apply to NPCs.

No...the swearing rule is already too strict the way it is right now. You already get a warning when a mod purposelly searches for a swear when it is not on the focus of the link.

It will get even worser if minor swears are censored.

In fact, I kind of had a suggestion that is the reverse of yours.

You probably should give a reason as to why would any of these are to be implemented onto the site, so that other users can get an insight as to why should this even be implemented. Though, as for me, it's a no support.

As many users have stated, the swearing rule is strict as is, adding more restrictions is just... so limiting. Minor cusswords include damn, heck, dang, etc and they are very commonly used in the modern days. I've linked to a few news/gaming articles that while doesn't include any major cuss cusswords, included some minor ones for a comedic relief. I've linked to music and songs that contained the words 'goddamn', 'dang' and so on. I've linked to other websites that let you use minor cussword [one of them even have the COPPA system]. With this rule in place, I'd get a warning for linking to sites that use these minor swear words in a non-harmful way. Users getting warnings for cuss words in the comment sections of youtube- which they have no control over- is bad enough.

Adding new rules to ban minor cuss words used all the time these days just seems unjust. Having seen some of your posts, I know that you really want to make PokeHeroes a child-friendly place and I respect that, but limiting users as to what they could say when it isn't even offensive is not letting them have their freedom of speech.

Don't let PokeHeroes turn into Neopets that won't even let you say grape because of the word rape.

Okay guys, I see your point, but swearing is getting OUT OF CONTROL on here. I mean, sometimes, in an RP with a "No swearing" rule, people will take the advantage of using minor swears, which is still swearing. And we're NOT going to forbid people from saying words that have parts of swear words in them, that' just dumb. Oh, and PH is a kid-friendly site, we should just have Bill say something else other than a swear word.

My point is, swearing is swearing no matter what, and it shouldn't be allowed at all on here.

To be honest
The no swearing rule is off the top itself, I Mean, I checked out that "Word Check" website linked to the rule section In PH and my god, we "can't"say 'pony'. Ridiculous right? Well-

Thing is, this rule is strict in this instance, yes, and minor " cuss" words are unfortunately EVERYWHERE. It would be absolutely stupid to implement a harsher rule if everywhere you go you'll see minor insults!
Its hypocrite to say that a cuss word is a cuss word no matter what.
Take this as a very blunt and stupid example "peppa pig"
My sister Sees this right? Well guess what? I can no longer link a peppa video /not that I want to/ because in the video they say "dumb" and "stupid"
As now I say NO support

EDIT
Besides, as people stated before hand, it would restrict the liberty of speech, and in the end , NO ONE would want to play this game at all, or people would basically give up on it

No. Swearing is already pretty minimal on this site, but seriously though. Swearing isn't thay bad :0 They're just words, and if you don't want them, get off the internet.

People are too soft, and the children on this site most likely see curses worse than damn or hell or ass

Most children's movies would use these words

[Example: Disney's animated film "Pinocchio" had a quote from one of the teenage characters who smoke and drank and was turning into a donkey. As he turned he said "What do I look like to you?? An ass?!"]

Swearing is normal, and even helps calm people. I have zero support for this, restricting everyone from cursing even in a minor manner occasionally just because a few parents are overly sensitive.

The rules are strict enough as is, people can't even post feeds about how they feel in life without mods warning them and deleting their feeds because its too "inappropriate" for children.

This is a rather ridiculous idea...

There's swearing EVERYWHERE in the world. We're already pretty limited here on swearing, adding more restrictions would honestly make me afraid of posting, and likely others too.

Plus, this site is mostly consisting of an older age group. And even most children are aware of swearing, there's no getting around it. (My tween sisters swear like sailors when parents aren't around. The miracle-work of public school)

If anything, the rules should be loosened... At least pertaining to less 'contraversial' curse works like damn, hell, etc.

So, really, this is a bad idea and does not have my support. If you dislike cussing so much, you'll have to follow users who don't use it at all.

Edit: I would however support the ability to ban someone from YOUR thread or page(even views) if they were violating any rules or guidelines you set up in your private space. But site wide is a no-go, most people actually enjoy swearing. Plus, scientific fact here, people who swear more are PROVEN to, in most cases, have a higher IQ than those who do not. Not really related, but sort of.

This idea is ridiculous, and how would it apply to npcs?
plus, as McCree said, it may make other users scared to post. And, as some stated, children are extremely open to cussing. My parents swore like sailors when I was in the room with them. They swore to me. maybe not all people had parents like this, but if you go onto other sites, you'll see little kids cussing worse than a sailor in a pickle.
I hate to be rude, but you should follow users who don't go anywhere near swearing.

I am perfectly fine with, say, banning them from your profile, like McCree also said.

some people think swearing is a natural thing, and do it frequently, so just avoid them, maybe? and ignore the fact that bill "swears", maybe.

Banning all swear is too harsh, as previously said, just ignore them, they wont change nor you can change them

'Ass' is another word for donkey. I feel like that's what Disney was going for.

Yes but it still counts as a technical "swear"
