Slipping into the cafeteria, Tori spotted a hoard of students rush
over to Lilly's table. Ordering a muffin, Tori munched on it,
sitting down on the floor in the corner of the cafeteria.
Charlotte grabbed a stack of blueberry pancakes with some honey
flavored syrup and glanced around with an annoyed expression. She
gave up trying to find a seat and walked past Lilly's table to head
back to her dorm room to eat. She knew this wasn't allowed, but
nobody really bothered to try and stop her. She muttered curse
words under her breath as students nearly bumped into her every
other second while rushing to the cafeteria.
Her eyes scanned the hall before stopping on a new student whom
appeared to be limping. "Huh... New kids, I swear." She simply
mumbled under her breath and passes him to continue to her room
with her pancakes.
Charlotte froze in place and slowly turned her head towards the new
kid, staring him down with her crimson eyes. She wasn't used to
people questioning her about her actions. After a moment, a smile
formed on her lips, fake as a barbie doll. "You'd do best to mind
your own business around me, kid. I'm not a fan of brown nosers."
With that, she turned and continued on her way.
Pepper was in line for her lunch, but knew she needed to go to her
dorm to check on the stone. She saw Charlotte walking to her dorm,
and Pepper had her evil grin again, and a bad, bad idea in her
head. She got her food, and almost got out, but saw a new student
in the way. "He looks like a weirdo." Pepper said to herself a
little too loudly.
"your threats have no effect on me, and besides, if you do that, it
would most likely kill me, and you would be charged with murder,
thus ruining your future." (@Charlotte)
Charlotte stared at the male for a moment, before grinning and
laughing at him."ghosts have no future dear. And I may not care
about murder charges." Losing interest, she glanced over at Pepper,
her large ears catching her weirdo remark. Raising a brow, she gave
her a questioning expression.
Wolfing down her muffin, Tori was still kinda hungry, but she
ignored it. Walking to the exit, She realized that three kids were
blocking the way. Being shy, she looked for another way out.
"What? I have science to do." Pepper said to Charlotte in a fun
tone. That changed when she turned to the new guy. "YOU....YOU!"
"Get out of my way!" Pepper said to him. She tried to be though,
but only looked weak, and boney, like any other geek.
She snorted at Pepper's nerdy attempts to intimidate the dark type
out of her way. Her snort turned into a full laugh before gently
guiding her around him by her shoulders, assisting Tori as she did
so. "Get to science then, mouse. Don't wanna waste time"
"Don't worry, I'm not talking to you, Charlotte. I'm talking to the
new-kid know-it-all right next to you." Pepper said, looking at the
new guy the entire time. Pepper tried to stand tall, and said "get
out of our way, buzzkill." Pepper never insulted somebody before,
she would've gotten beaten up, but she was confident the new kid
was weak too.
"I know darling, he's the dark type, I'm the ghost." With a chuckle
and a sigh, she let go of Pepper and allowed her to fight her own
battles, instead making room for Tori to sneak by, giving her a
nod
Charlotte decided to stick around in case pepper got herself in
trouble and needed help. She was surely a dweeb, but she was kinda
adorable.
"Buzzkill, SAY SOMETHING!" Pepper said in a low voice to the new
kid again, her cheeks lighting up with lightning. She then saw
Charlotte right in back of her, and smiled, knowing she has got
protection.
When Lilly finished her breakfast and got out of the stampede of
students, she wanted to go back to her dorm. On her way there, she
heard the whole conversion with Charlotte and the new kid.
"Pipsqueak..." Lilly muttered, angry at that guy for acting like
such a snitch. Lilly was nice 99% of the time, but when people mess
with her friends, she doesn't have good feelings for them. When she
got back to her dorm, she started to think of ideas for the prom.
The prom was Friday, so she didn't have much time. She needed help.
So, since she hadn't talked to Amour in awhile, she tried texting
her. (A popular friend of hers gave her Amour's number) "Hey, can
you come to my dorm during lunch, need ideas for prom fast!" Lilly
texted. Lilly then proceeded to go to class.
At Gym class, Andrea was busy practicing some volleyball skills, "I
want to do good", Andrea said but the gym teacher told Andrea,
"Time for some soccer", Andrea froze on the spot and said, "What?",
Andrea fell to her knees, "This can't be happening", but
unfortunately Andrea needed to follow the rules and did what the
gym teacher told her to do.
Pepper realized he already left, so she calmed down. "Thanks,
Charlotte. Next time, that pip-squeak will get what he deserves!"
Pepper said. "Oh! The prom... Great, I have no fashion sense!"
Pepper said to Charlotte again.
Charlotte laughed and nodded her head at Pepper, grinning. "I'm
pretty sure you already showed him what's what!" She teased.
"Personally I think you'd look good in anything you put on. As long
as you're confident, you can work it." She just decided to eat her
pancakes right there before they got cold as she talked to pepper.
"Well you-know-who is very good with fashion. She's really quite
nice you know." She gave her a reassuring smile, but did not push
her.
