"Keep watch for whom, Monsieur?" Scrounge called out, watching from the shadowy branches of a tree. She knew that only her eyes, and her ever infamous cheshire grin would be visible, and she let out a fit of giggles. "Oh my! Is that a petite souris I smell?" She purred, peeking towards a certain dormouse. She hummed a quick little tune as she waited for a response

Her heart skipped a beat as she saw an all too familiar signature grin. Valentin yelped, scrabbling backwards as if her life depended on it. Her usual weary body was alarmed and trembling, the Dormouse was like a cornered mouse-quite literally. "Wh-what are you doing here at this hour, dear?" She nervously chuckled, shakily getting back up as she obviously tried to recover.

Anistair: Keeping an eye out for you, you bloody cheshire! //he said triumphantly, pointing his cane at Scrounge/ You cats have been terrorozinv my friend and trying to steal my hat but no more! //he stood up a little more straight and trying to make himself sound and look as heroic as possible but Anistair was really only making a fool of himself
Who is your true family...?

Welcome back, my feelings. I love feeling the anxiety that makes me wish I was dead.

Elliot returned Valentin's smile with one of his own, his amethyst eyes glancing down to where the Mad Hatter's hat lie, no doubt having found its way there during one of Anistair's clumsier moments. Poor Dormouse, though, worrying so much and so often about what the Cheshire cat might be up to. Well, any of the Cheshire cats, really. Just as he was about to attempt a comforting motion of some kind, Anistair stepped in and promised to catch 'that bloody cat', hitting his head and finding his hat in the process. Well, the Great Hat Caper was solved pretty quickly, but the Mad Hatter was right. They should be keeping an eye out for that cat, both Anistair and Elliot, so Valentin would be safe. And, speak of the Devil, one of the Cheshire cats appeared seemingly out of nowhere, only a pair of floating green eyes and a stretched grin visible. Instinctively, Elliot stepped between the Dormouse and the Cheshire cat, not quite blocking Valentin but there to protect if needed. He didn't really like fighting, it was a sort of last resort for him, but he was adept at it and could fight someone if necessary. It seemed as if Anistair was doing his best to appear tougher than Scrounge, a good idea actually as it was something another cat would do to intimidate, but he seemed perhaps a little less confident in himself than Elliot was. Having known the Mad Hatter for a while, he was confident in his abilities. Despite being just as crazy--if not more so--as Elliot, Anistair had quite a bit of control over himself. Excluding, of course, the occasional slaughter of fallen humans. But, then again, even Elliot himself couldn't deny he did the same. Although, his were perhaps more . . . quiet than most. Still, if the Cheshire cat chose to try something against Valentin, then Elliot would back up Anistair if needed.

(( Sorry for not being present yesterday, got a bit busy. I made a bit of an assumption about Anistair, but he does seem in control, save the few bumps on the head. I will also be posting something for Sakiko, but I have something I gotta take care of first. ))

I sneer by myself, as I pray along the guidance. I wonder if it will rain tomorrow . . .

". . . Mother? . . . You can call me however you like, my child."

"When humans fall down here, strangely... I... I often feel like I already know them. Truthfully, when I first saw you, I felt... ... like I was seeing an old friend for the first time."

"Be good, won't you? My child . . ."

Cyris looked at the wonderful wonder of the trees "I should really go out more, but I have jobs to handle" She said and walked and walked and walked over the oddly colored grass and ignored her duties for as long as she wants to.

Cedar crawled through the forest looking for tasty prey for the pack. She could smell a gopher or something that smelled like one running around and maybe some... lil ones too. She couldn't tell if there were more but she smelled them and that's all that mattered.

I'm not a bot, I swear-

The Bandersnatch's ears twitched, her head twisting to face the direction from which she had heard voices. She clamored over roots and logs, steps silent and deliberate, the only sign of her presence being the scarcity of animals and the brief glimpses of spots shifting in the foliage. She caught the scents of rabbit and mouse, and perhaps cheshire -a rare delicacy, even for the Bandersnatch. She could almost never catch the sly felines due to their teleporting abilities. A wicked grin flickered across her monstrous features, faltering as her keen scent caught traces of something almost foreign to her. Almost. She almost gave a purr of delighted surprise as she placed the scent, quickening her pace in the direction of her soon-to-be prey. How something as large and dangerous as her managed to stay silent and almost unnoticeable was astonishing, to say the least. She glimpsed into the clearing she had neared, confirming her suspicions. It had been long since she had last seen a human, nevermind one she hadn't detected in the forest before. She couldn't stop the low rumble of a snarl begin in her throat, almost unnoticeable at first, as her large, angular topaz eyes glimmered in the brush. By the time it took for her usual prey to notice her prescence, she had already pounced upon the closest figure -he smelled of rabbit- her savage claws tearing his sleeves as her massive weight kept him pinned. Her monstrous features curled into a snarl that conveyed her most prominent view of the rabbit. Dinner.

Scrounge tilted her head, still grinning. "Aw, you should not be worried about a little cat like me, Monsieur! Or you, Mademoiselle-" she addressed Valentin, ignoring Elliot for the moment. She scented the air, and slightly frowned- even shuddered maybe- at the scent she smelled. Within a second, her grin returned and she glanced at the audience before her. "Ah, you really should be more worried about the monstre running about. The one that smells far too close for my liking-" she stopped mid-sentence as some creature leaped out of the shadows and attacks.

The Bandersnatch's head snapped up as she took into consideration the other creatures in the clearing, her maw opening to bare her sharp teeth in anticipation. With a snap of her jaws, she had clamped her teeth around the rabbit's shirt collar, tearing holes through the fabric as she dragged him backwards, into the forest, a savage grin plastered across her face.
