Some say love comes easy, others believe it takes time and should be taken slowly. But Xyaria's king doesnt belive in either.

Because of a depleating population in his beloved kingdom, a new law has been passed that all citizens must have an arranged spouse. From the moment you are born, your life partner is chosen for you. But time is given to children to mature enough to actually get married. By the time a Xyarian child reaches the age of 16, they are to marry their life partner.

Little do twelve young men and women know of the law they are getting into. These teenagers have just moved from far and wide to live in this peaceful country. Now they have been introduced to a new price they must pay. All twelve of these people must grow accustomed to the new environment and get used to the law. But when time comes to marry their spouse, they never know who they'll get.

It could even end up in disaster...

Personality: Very calm and collected. Hes rather neat and tidy, and always presents himself well. He's soft spoken but shouldnt be fooled by his soothing manner. Ko is fully capable of lashing out in a reasonable way and is known for being a sarcastic twat. He enjoys listening to traditional Japanese music, playing Koto, and crafting hand made kimonos. He is also known for being a rather good fortune teller. One thing to know is never grab his tail. As the legend suggests, grabbing a kitsune's tale leads to a rather horrible curse.

She often enjoys spouting off poems and rhymes she hears, scaring the occasional passerby, and generally creeping people out.

Personality: He sort of switches between a tsundere cutie and a shy dork, obviously denying both former and latter. Asuka can be easily flustered and most likely angered if you start poking around in sensitive topics. He will immediately go passive if you stroke his tail or touch his ears, which is why he'll go all jumpy if people make a move to touch them.

History: He was the runt of the litter, outcasted by everyone else due to being very sensitive and shy as a child. Not being able to prove his worth, he ran away to the far place he now calls home. As the Neko matured, he started becoming a bit more aggressive so his life wouldn't repeat itself. Bringing up his past will cause him to lash out or try to dodge the topic.

Personality: Kamiya is very intelligent and isn't afraid to flaunt it. He has a sharp mind and an equally sharp tongue; he was raised to be courteous to all, but he only ever really shows this around his family. He also doesn't really have an interest in romance (of course, being the teacher's pet he is, he doesn't show this around people who matter) and has a surprising lack of self-control. He usually allows his anger to get the best of him, unfortunately for others around him.

History: She doesn't particularly enjoy speaking about her past. Her mother passed away during child birth and her father left her abandoned on the steps of an orphanage. She was raised in the orphanage with a rude headmistress and the kids constantly teased and taunted her about her ears and her wolf lineage. But, when she was about 7, her luck took a turn for the better. A young noble couple had come to the orphanage not long after finding out the woman couldn't bear a child for her husband. They spotted crying not long after a bunch of children pushed her around into a puddle of mud. They both instantly fell in love with her and took the poor girl in. She took about a year to warm up to them but actually started to consider them her parents, and began to love them dearly.

Sydney is known to be cold and has a heart of stone. She has a nurturing side, though, but she only shows it to people she's close to. She uses this as cover for her true, power hungry side. She feels weak in her human form, causing her to go into fits if she if left alone for long. Her appearance isn't as stony as her personality, I guess you could say. When she is in her gargoyle form, she tends to be carefree and maybe even a bit on the carnivorous side. I might alter this a bit so I can relate to her more.

Appearance: His wings are retractable, and when they are retracted, they appear to be tattoos on his back. His claws are permanently fixed in that position along with his tail. (Minus the sword)
Personality: He's pretty quiet, he prefers to be standing in the shadows and hates to be the center of attention. If someone grabs his attention and gains his trust he will usually open up to them and let them see the nicer side of him. Though his friends are few and far between, those who call themselves his friends find that he is fiercely loyal and is very accountable.

History: When Ziirath first opened his eyes in this world he was as normal as any newborn boy would be. His life was normal and rather average. He had a mother, a father, and a little sister. His life was so normal and happy that when his little sister got terribly ill, the 13 year old Ziirath felt like he'd been hit with tree. The doctors tried everything, every ancient remedy was attempted, but to no avail. His parents were far beyond discouraged after three months of visiting the girl in the hospital, so he decided to take things into his own hands. While his parents were at the hospital, he closed and locked his bedroom door and started speaking words that should not be uttered from a book that should never be opened. After performing the rites that should never have been written, a being entered his room. The boy and the thing talked and discussed the situation and possible solutions. A deal was finally made. Half of Ziirath's soul for the life of his sister. In a flash of lightening and a clap of thunder, his sister sat up in her hospital bed and walked over into her mourning parents arms. When they returned home they were so frightened when they found out what he had done, they disowned him. For how could they love a being touched by darkness. He struck out on his own and has been wandering, trying to find his purpose ever since.
