Bastion looked up at the edges of the rooftops, idly following the crowd as he continued walking. The clouds were a pretty color today, and it put him in a delightful mood. He began to hum a soft tune to himself, not quite loud enough for anyone to hear.

"Excuse me, can you give me directions to this place?" He asked a man who looked like a local, and handed over a scrap of paper with perfect handwriting.

"Ah yes, it's that way, take the third left and the second right and you're there."

"Thank you, sir," Bastion raised his hand in thanks as he walked away, continuing his stroll towards his destination.

Ruby walked through the bustling streets nervously. Look at all these different species! They're all so different! I wonder if there's any half-dragons like me..... She kept walking, almost crushing a dwarf she walked past in the process, and stopped at a jewelry shop. Must. Resist. Greed. I can't waste my money on shiny things! She drooled over the beautiful jewelry, wishing she could get some for free.

Akari watched the boy quickly scurry away when he realized she had been staring at him, her cheeks turned a vibrant shade of red. She carefully picked her way through the crowd and headed towards the small cottage that would serve as her home until she was properly married to the man she is betrothed with. She sighed softly and stepped inside, gazing at all the furniture and at the plants in the windowsills. Akari grinned happily when she spotted a single rose in an gorgeous clear vase, stepping close to it she sniffed it and grinned once again at the beautiful flower.

Mitoki extracted a brilliant pale blue paper from her side satchel and looked over its writing. Taking note of the address, she turned into a different street and brushed a bit of hair behind her ear. The buildings came in different shapes and sizes, which slightly appeased Mitoki. The variety helped her calm a bit, and even made her feel more welcome. She stepped in front of the walkway of a house that was a bit taller, and went to the door.

Mitoki was welcomed to her surprisingly large room. She would be sharing the building with others for the time being until she was designated a partner, but she didn't mind. As long as the others were nice of course, Mitoki wouldn't have a problem. She thanked the one who welcomed her in, and placed her hands on her front shoulders. Mitoki tapped a hoof softly on the wooden floor, listening to the acoustics carefully.

The centauress reached into a side satchel and nabbed a rather large sandwhich. It contained mostly vegetables, but there was some turkey breast slipped in there. Turkey breast sandwiches were here favorite, and was one of the only meats she would eat from time to time. Her stomach could handle little bits of meat here and there, but her diet depended heavily upon fruits, vegetables, and beans. Mitoki explored her rather large room in glee as she ate her sandwich giddily.

Her thoughts went to things other than sandwiches and gigantic beds, and instead to a slightly more important matter. I hope I'm paired with someone who's... Kind. Yes. Kind. Kind enough to help me around here, kind enough to tell me I look nice today, kind enough to like a horse lady thing. The centauress giggled to herself at that thought. Mitoki sat down on her bed and looked around, her thoughts now pondering her future lover.

Ko: //he looked around his small, eastern themed home and knelt before a small shrine dedicated to his late family. He prayed quietly to the shrine then looked up at the family photo again. He smiled softly to himself before setting it down again. He got back up and rummaged through his tea storage and got ready to to start a boil

Akari hummed quietly to herself as she tied back her thick curly hair with a hair tie. She opened one of the larger windows on the side of her home, her amber eyes looked over the cute home beside her, noticing a few eastern items through the window. She quickly redirected her attention to the notebook and art supplies on her table. She smiled like an idiot and grabbed the book and a pencil before sitting next to the open window and drawing miscellaneous flowers that grew along the base of her neighbors home.

Ko: //he turned back around over to where he starts a fire for his boil. Then after lighting it, he got up and removed his kimono and folded it up gently. He set the silk clothing down and made sure it had no wrinkles. He looked out of his window and into his neighbor's home, noticing it was the girl from earlier. His cheeks flushed a little pink as he turned away before sitting down.

Akari glanced up when she spotted movement in the window near her. She looked that the white haired boy and offered a shy smile when he looked at her. She frowned slightly when he sat down, completely oblivious to the blush on the boys face. Akari's ears twitched slightly as she debated on how to encounter him and actually speak to him.

Ruby finally forced herself away from the jewelry store and walked to the large house that was to be hers. I hope there's a large room in it where I can stretch out in my dragon form. She looked around, and sure enough, there was a room large enough for her dragon form. Perfect. She went into her bedroom, set down her bag, and laid down on the bed. I guess I'll take a nap for now. All that flying made me tired. I wonder what my future husband's like, though... She yawned and drifted off to sleep.

Bastion swung open the door of his new home and took a deep breath as he stepped inside.

"Smells strange," he noted audibly as the door closed behind him. Most new homes did, from his experience. His senses were rather keen compared to ordinary humans. Hehe, probably because I'm such an animal. Get it? Cause I can l can actually be an animal? Bastion laughed to himself. I'm so funny.

"Geez, the place is so empty, I wish the old tenant would have left more of their crap lying around," Bastion muttered. The only thing left behind was an old bed. There wasn't even a couch. Not that it mattered much, he would probably be moving out soon anyways, but he enjoyed having a place to lounge. He belly-flopped onto the bed, testing how comfortable it was. I suppose it'll do, for now, he thought as he rolled onto his back and closed his eyes.

Alleana slowly hopped from the tree, and flew over to her home. She had remembered where she was told to go, and landed in front of the house. She opened the door, and closed it behind her, looking around. She saw the neighbors, most of them doing something or sleeping. She walked into a bedroom, sitting on the bed. She pulled a book from her pocket, opening to the bookmarked page, starting to read.

Ziirath muttered to himself as he continued to dodge the traffic on the road. Does no one in this retched place look where they're going? He sighed as he ducked into a tavern where he planned on staying. He walked over to the main desk to ask for a room. "Hello?" He asked as he rung the small brass bell on the counter. An older man walked out from the back room and smiled at him. "Can I help you sir?" Ziirath nodded. "I'd like a room for the evening?" The man nodded and took a key down from a hook on the wall behind him. "Here you go, the rates are on the board up there." The man pointed over his shoulder to a plaque listing the various costs. Ziirath found the one he'd need and paid the man. "Thank you and enjoy your stay." Ziirath bowed and headed upstairs to find the door that matched the number on the key. He found and unlocked the door and entered. He sighed in relief as he sat down on the springy mattress and looked out his only window at the adjacent building. What shall I do tomorrow? Perhaps I'll take tomorrow to see some sights around the city? He starts to plan out the next day as he removes his shirt and lets his large leathery wings unfurl from their tattoo-like hiding place. He walked over to the window and took a breath of the cool night air. That sounds fine. I doubt I'll spend much time in a city again, so I might as well get my fill on cities while I'm here...

(Jfc I wrote too much)

Mitoki took another polite bite of her sandwhich and dusted her face gently with a napkin. A knock at the door surprised her slightly, and the person who welcomed her in called out to her.

"I have some mail for you!" They spoke with a gentle tone. "Would you like me to bring it to you?"

"Yes please." Mitoki replied sweetly, getting up from the bed. The door opened and the person handed over a few envelopes. The centauress thanked them as they walked out, and sat back down to open the letters. One was from her previous homes address, the other from the government. Her eyes widened and a soft smile on her face gently glowed.

She opened the one from her old home first. Her father had jammed a decent amount of money into the envelope and left a note inside. Mitoki read it to herself.

'Mitoki, I know you said not to do this, but everything in my head told me you would need it. Keep it close, secret and safe. Make sure that you let me know you made it safe and sound in any way possible. Everyone at the farm misses you and wishes you well, including me.
-<3 Pop'

Mitoki wiped a few tears from her eyes, then closed the envelope and tucked it into her shirt. She was glad her father missed her. Although she wished her Pop wouldn't have sent her so much of his savings. She would probably end up sending most of it back. Mitoki turned her attention to her other envelope, the one from the government. It had the words 'Assigned Partner Enclosed Within' labeled on it. The centauress opened it up swiftly, slightly excited to open it. Mitoki unfolded the paper and scanned for the name.

"Bastion Verhoef"

Mitoki closed her eyes and imagined to herself what he might've looked like. She layers on her bed and continued reading with a slightly giddy grin.

Alleana heard a small clank, and went to the door. She saw a piece of mail that had been slipped through the mail slot. She picked it up and saw that it was from the government, and said "Sven" On the front. She opened it, reading through the info on her future husband.

Ruby woke up about three hours later. She decided to go shopping, and bought lots of food to stock up her new home. On the way back, she was walking down the street, when she saw a harpy. I think I read in a letter I was given that my future husband was a harpy. Maybe that's him? He is pretty, but he looks a bit stuck up.

anyWAY I'm back and I'm sorry I was gone for such a long time /shot]

Kamiya had found his home and explored it for a short while, finding his new house satisfactory, if not a bit cramped. He was now walking down the street again, a bag full of food and other necessary trinkets in his arms. At this point, he simply hoped he didn't appear too strained--he hated to admit that he was not the strongest physically, and this bag was currently stocked to the brim, making it a bit difficult to carry. He walked onward to his home, forcing his face to remain as calm as possible, though he found he had to bite his bottom lip to do so with any success.
