So, with this little set back, I've lost a few days of progress on the hunt TT_TT But, at least I'm back on track with it now :3 I just hope my breeding pair will give me the eggs I need so that I'll hopefully be back at the hunt pretty quickly :3
*Grabs paint and dumps it on all the eggs in hopes that will turn them into the Van Bagon Eggs I need*
Also, on a random note, has anyone noticed the colors of the Van Bagon and Shiny Van Bagon? It goes from Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow to Red, Blue, and green. So I think I want to name the first shiny I get "RGB hexcode" just because I can XD

And. *Throws confeti* someone already noticed yeey! xD well I mean I didn't know what colours would fit the shiny. However instead of CMYK and RGB I thought more of primary and secondary colours since the blue is supposed to be more like blue-purple :p

And seriously, nobody mentioned that until now? I guess I can see the secondary colors, but the red doesn't look very orange to me. And the Blue-Purple is closer to what people see in day to day darker blues. (Or close enough for the items I have that are a darker blue over sky blues)
Then again, this could just be from the fact that I grew up with the two color methods on the computer, and that's the only reason I made that link...
I actually like that it does that, though, since I stared at the two and said "There has to be more to this shiny than meets the eyes, since it's somewhat easy to miss if you don't have them to compare"... Then again, I kind of think that's just me being weird... I mean, taking an obvious shiny, and making it more subtle, I always think there's a reason behind it XD (Even though there usually isn't.)

Actually from what I know the secondary should be red not orange, since it's magenta + cyan which would make the red :p orange would be red + yellow. True that the blue is more like navy/dark blue tho xD
I tend to use RGB since it's the one I have automatic in PS, and I don't really like CMYK that much when drawing, but I also know about it.
Hm there is usually not many reasons I think :p it was just this one, for example the shiny Mr. Bagon and evoline was more random, but the artist shiny had a something behind the colours somehow. Sometimes there is a background thing and sometimes not. But when we make the sprites we try to make them fit somehow...like snowling/snowbuck's tails. I tried picking a gradation (that's the word?) that would remind you of a magical starry night with shooting stars or something xD

I just figured Mr. Bagon and his evolutions were based more around the original shinies with the Salamence reminding me a little of Doctor Who with the suit >.>
The gradient you picked worked well. Gradients for sprites are hard to work out, at least in my experience. And yeah, I work with RGB most of the time in PS. I do use CMYK from time to time when I want to work on something I'm planning to print, though I'm not sure if it really matters... Just a preference, I guess.

Yes they are so hard to work with, because it's d ifficult to make look good, since they can look too rough. CMYK is for printing, yes, RGB is for webs. However it also depends where you print it, since some printers may accept RGB and print it correctly while others may mess up xP
And now I mentioned shiny Snowling, it's the first one I'd like to hunt, but I only have 100 points and not that much patience since I never succesfully bred an event ;w;
Then I blame myself for making shiny events with colours/mixes/combos I like, like Polestar, Snowling, Jolly/Sad mimes or Van Bagon :p

I'd think a mod could celebrate more neatly instead of wrecking the place :p
And in other news, paint on the eggs backfired. The Bagons have mostly been the other one, not Van Bagon TT_TT (5 Mr. Bagon vs 1 Van Bagon vs 2 Feebas)
I think they're onto me and don't want to help the hunt along now XD

I'm really indecisive on what I want to do after I hatch my hopefully female shiny Feebas. Should I shiny hunt Larvesta, a shiny that looks like its normal form, or just adopt a bunch of lab eggs in hopes that I can get a random legendary bird or Ditto (or new Pokemon, that'd be cool, too)?
