To know which egg you want to release, we could combine it with the idea of marks someone mention a few days ago. Remember the heart, square, star etc marks you could give to Pokemon and eggs in the games?

And yes, it would be better if you lost the Trainer Points when releasing an egg.

In a way I like this idea but I probably wouldn't use it. Since I like to adopt those eggs that have just arrived to the lab and you can't even see the rarity. That way it's always a surprise what hatches. (I really don't mind getting poke I don't need myself, there's always trading)
However I do support this idea, it could be useful for some people and I don't have to use it if I don't want to. :p

But think about those poor helpless eggs being abandoned in the merciless wild! D8

Maybe in addition only ~3 eggs per day?

the 3 a day thing isnt a good idea. because everytime we would release one egg we lose TP. so it wouldnt be an idea for a limit because we would be losing TP and an egg.

But the egg is lost, there's no PF Shelter to catch it and hold it for later claiming. So you'd really have to think if you want to release it. I support both loss of TP and 3 per day, but then the 6 hour rule would not be needed.

also support for only 3 eggs per day, this is supposed to fix accidental adoptions, and why would we worry about losing the egg anwyays, getting rid of the one we don't want to hatch is kind of the point
it's like the court system (in the usa anyways), the point is to make you whole, not put you in a worse or better state of affairs than you were in before it happened

if the system stays in place where we're unable to move things around in our parties, the eggs adopted are always placed at the very end of the party anyways

i like the idea of combining it with marks though, if our parties become freely rearrangeable

i think releasing is implied, naturally we'd be able to adopt as many eggs as we could hatch, that will never be limited

there are 24 hours in each day, 6 + 6 + 6 = 18 hours, basically with the 3 eggs per day thing in place, we'd be able to release more eggs per day per six hours (that would be 4 eggs?) than we would if just the one egg per six hours thing, and you'd have to be on at precise times if you wanted to ditch all four eggs allowed within that time

besides, this is supposed to prevent accidents...how do you think it could be abused?

also i do not math well so if i'm wrong please correct me, i'm not sure if i made sense up there or made it worse ahah

No, I was talking about what Mirej said about the timer not being needed if the 3 egg limit was done. If it's a 3 eggs limit and you could only release one every 6 hours, then I'd support that, too.

It would be even better now because if you clicked on the wrong egg you wouldn't break your chain if you can ditch the egg beforehand.

i fully support this as well XD i sometimes click the wrong egg >.< (little off topic i wish the eggs would release to the wild instead of a shelter i though pf had no logic lol if they were released to the wild why do they appear in a shelter XD i would think it would be better if there was a place called "wild" and we can go and pick eggs like in the dream world like place where its just clicking and going places and finding eggs in the forest of some kind lol XD)

Techie, that would've been better, in my opinion, but maybe when you "release" them, you're actually putting them in the shelter or something. I don't know, really. o.o
