Lunarblaze followed eagerly on the patrol. He was eager to get out of the camp, as his legs were stiff after being in camp for the entire night.

Dustpaw ran behind Billowflame in order to catch up to her. He moved closer to her right ear.
"Sorry for invading your space, mentor, b-but can I talk to you later please?" Dustpaw asked in a whisper with a forced smile before slowing his pace to fall behind.

'Flintpelt! I have come to eat your ssooouuull!' Snowpaw cried as she started to giggle.
'Im going on morning patrol, and you bet Starclan Imma catch something juicy!' She said as she raced off to catch the other apprentices.

Horizonstar smiled. He knew it was always a good feeling to do something out of camp. He had been the same when he was an apprentice many moons ago. And in his mind, battle training was always the best thing to do. They'd never know when a time will come where they'd need to fight off a trespasser or even a clan of cats again, but they had to be prepared.
The leader dipped his head. "I will come get you again once I know the queens and elders have been fed." He then got to his paws and left to return to his den.

Billowflame hadn't look down at her apprentice to reply. "Of course," she murmured under her breath, realizing that he had already moved to the back of the group.

Stormpaw happy bounded as he followed close behind the rest of the group as they exited the clan's entrance. The young male apprentice stayed at his mentor's side.

Rainpaw followed Billowflame closely. He kept his eyes peeled for the herbs he needed however, as he had to watch for those while everyone else watched for prey. And he didn't want to think of what would happen to him if a large bird came down or a dog attacked or a....Rainpaw shook his head to clear it. Thinking like that, he'd be too worried to notice any plants they needed.

Emberstream walked deeper into the cave, to where Rockwillow was lounging in the nest her mate kept tended. Fur from different animals, some grass....Rockwillow's nest looked very comfortable.

Emberstream smiled at the young queen. "So how are we doing today?" she asked nicely.

Rockwillow grinned back. "Wonderful! I can feel my kits kicking, my milk is starting up, and I'm fairly certain that they are going to be beautiful kits. I'm ready to mother, more so than I've ever been actually."

Emberstream sniffed at the queen gently, prodding the belly with her nose. A push, a little paw touching, and that was all she needed to know. Three healthy kits in there...and one...not dead, not unhealthy? what... She got the feeling she had when Starclan was trying to tell her something...

Another apprentice then. So soon, but perhaps needed. Without the other clans, maybe the Starsight still had to be spread to as many kits as possible? Either way, this kit was definately blessed by Starclan for something

(I don't necessarily want to control this kit when it is born, I just wanted to steal from Tamora Pierce a little. Dwarfism in a kitten, adorable! PS the books I am referencing is the Trickster series there)

Nighttail fell back asleep as her littermate left the nursery. The queen wanted to rest all day, except when she needed to eat.

Songbird padded along near the front of the patrol, pausing for a moment to stretch. She took that moment to look back at the patrol. Seeing Lunarblaze and his apprentice, she waited for them to catch up to her before speaking. "How about we take Stormpaw and Snowpaw battle training later?" she asked the tom, deciding if she took her own apprentice training it would be nice to have another apprentice to train with.

Sunpelt lay basking in the rays of sunshine by the warrior's den, watching the camp's activity through lazily slitted eyes. As much as she had wanted to accompany the border patrol, she was grateful for the opportunity to relax. Her joints had been awfully creaky this morning, and she hoped no cat had saw the grimace on her face when she had stretched in her nest in an attempt to rid herself of the stiffness in her legs.

Flintpelt chuckled as she got up. "Good luck!" She called out to the apprentice. She decided to walk to the nursery. I wonder how the queens are doing.. She always loved being with the queens and kits.

Dustpaw slowed his pace more, finding himself gazing at Stormpaw often.

Oakclaw jolted awake realizing he'd overslept. He looked around and noticed everyone was gone and stretched out his body with a loud yawn. He straightened himself out and went to go check on his mate. He slowly made his way to his mate's nest. He smiled at the sight of Rockwillow. "Good morning, dear." he told the she-cat while pressing his nose against her head gently. "How are you feeling? Do you need anything?" he asked her with a worried tone.

Billowflame soon stopped in her tracks. Saying quietly, but loud enough for the whole group to hear, she said, "Here is a good perfect spot to catch prey. Mice always scurry about here, and other rodents and birds hide within these grasses."
The she-cat had stopped on the edge of the grassland that was just west of where the rest of the clan settled. Slightly opening her mouth, she let the scents from all around her flood in. "You have to be slow when walking through this grass, so you don't alert the prey. Do one of you want to head in first?" She asked quietly, looking at the other two warriors with their apprentices at their sides.

Stormpaw flicked his tail in excitement as he stood next to Lunarblaze. Seeing Billowflame open her mouth to scent everything around, he decided to try the same. The young apprentice was shocked at all the different things he could scent out; he wondered if the scent of mice was somewhere twined into it.

Dustpaw noticed Billowflame and Stormpaw opening their mouthes to let the scents flow in and decided to do the same, not entirely because Billowflame was his mentor, but also because Stormpaw happened to be doing it. A faint smile appeared on the corners of his mouth, revealing his small, growing canine teeth.

When Billowflame asked if anyone'd want to head into the grass first, he lifted his head. "Ooh! I wanna go in first!" he answered excitedly, remembering the competition he and Stormpaw agreed on shortly before heading out to hunt.

Rainpaw did the same as the other apprentices, but he was sniffing for the medicines he needed. With his mouth open, he caught a scent...was that the parsley he needed? He started moving in the direction of the plant, his mind set on the task at hand.

Rockwillow giggled at her mate. Softly, she licked his nose. "I'm fine honey. Though when the hunting patrol returns, if you could get me a mouse for me to eat. The kittens are getting hungry."

She looked at her mate softly. She hoped at least one of her kits would look like him, with handsome orange fur.

Emberstream walked away as Rockwillow's mate ran up. She was satisfied with his attentive care, though she would worry about his hovering when the kitting came.

She went to check on the recently moved in queen, Risingsun. She still had awhile before kitting, so Emberstream just wanted to check a few things. "Are you comfortable, Risingsun?" she asked.

The she-cat padded put of the nursery. She felt warm. The dim light was absorbed by her dark fur. The queen yawned. She was looking forward to another day.
