OOC; Okay, so we shall start in the hall waiting for the sorting to begin. If come in later, they can either just jump in after signing up and being approved or waiting for a major event. Let us begin!

IC; Ravyn bounced slightly, her energy making it almost impossible to sit still. She was having trouble keeping her mouth shut as the headmistress voice buzzed in the distance, but she wasn't really listening. She had heard stories of the legendary school from her mother, a muggleborn witch who was married to a muggle, making her half blood. She had also heard about Harry Potter, the boy who had defeated the wicked wizard who killed people like her mother. She couldn't help but hope she would meet Albus, Lily, or James Potter. Only time would tell.

Carloti stood on the edge of the group of new first years arms folded across her chest. She was watching what where to be her new class mates sizing them up. They where all waiting to be sorted, she did not know how they where to be sorted but both her parents had assured her it was nothing to worry about. She had to hold in a laugh at some of the ridiculous rumors that where flying around the crowd. Others where discussing what house they might be placed in, she was pretty sure she could guess which house she was destined for, not that it mattered. Her mother had been a Slyitherin from a neutral pureblood family and her Father a Ravenclaw muggleborn. Both had assured her theyd be proud no matter what house she got into. Unfolding her arms she began to shift impatiently wanting to get this over with.

Headmistress Mcgongall finally called the first person, and went on for a list of people. Eventually, she got to "Fawley, Nathan" and waited for him to come up. Ravyn had began to have trouble standing still. She let out an annoyed huff at the wait, and entertained herself by trying to find someone to talk to. So she made her way over to Carloti subtly.

Carloti glanced to her left realising some one had approach her. They where acting like they had a group of cornish pixeys in there pants unable to keep still. " are you alright " she asked raising her eyebrow slightly as she spoke.

"I'm fine! Just excited! I've heard so many great things about this place!" Ravyn exclaimed, looking around again with a look of awe on her face. She seemed happy to have someone to talk to and stop her from just bursting due to the energy she was holding.

Nathan was slightly nervous as he watched the other kids make their way over to the headmistress and the sorting hat but he didn't let that show on his face. He stood perfectly still, following the other children with his gaze as they went to be sorted. He kind of wanted to get this sorting thing out of the way already but on the other hand, he was kind of afraid he wouldn't get into the house he wanted to. His parents were both in Slytherin when they had been students in Hogwarts and they clearly expected their son to follow in those footsteps. Nathan didn't want to disappoint them so he had to be a Slytherin as well. There was no other options.

"Fawley, Nathan", Upon hearing his name, Nathan's shoulders tensed slightly before he walked up to Mcgongall with even and confident steps. Sitting on the stool with that same fake confidence, Nathan felt like ducking out from under the hat as the headmistress placed it on his head but stayed perfectly still nevertheless. "Hmmmm... yes, I see you have your preference..." Nathan gritted his teeth together as the Sorting Hat muttered under its breath and the boy braced himself for the judgement. "But I think you'd better suit in... Ravenclaw."

Wait. No. That's wrong. The color rushed out of Nathan's face as he heard the name of his house. Ravenclaw. Friggin' Ravenclaw. That's not where he belongs, the hat made a mistake, right? However, before he could even consider voicing any of his objections, the hat was lifted from his head and he found himself walking back into the crowd of first years as calmly as he had walked up to be sorted.

Damn it. My parents aren't going to like this...

Floa waited. Finally, she heard "Natry, Floa." She walked up to the sorting hat. Her parents were in Gryfinndor and Hufflepuff. She wanted to be in any house-except Slytherin. She walked up, and the sorting hat kept on changing its mind! Hufflepuff, to Gryffindor, to SLYTHERIN.. And finally......Ravenclaw. "RAVENCLAW!" The sorting hat announced it with pride. She happily went over to the Ravenclaw table, where she was greeted politely and her snowy owl, Flurrie, had been pet. Flurrie didn't mind this-she loved her feathers to be stroked. She flew onto Floa's atm, and watched with her as the two saw others being sorted.

Ezri stands in line, almost counting the line in front of her. She was the first in her family to be born a wizard, both her parents were muggles. Every school she had previously gone to she had been the subject of bullying, teasing and pranks, she was hoping it would be different... Before she could finish her thought, she heard "Soul, Ezri." She looks up ahead of her and realizes it's her turn. She walks up, and sits, and gets a chill as the hat is placed on her head. "Slytherin." She looks around in surprise and heads over to the appropriate table. As her pet, and only real friend, Sardonyx, a snake slithers out from in her sleeve and lays her head on Ezri's hand.

Carloti smiled at Ravyn " ah yes I'm sure we all a little bit excited today" Her name was called next Hawthorn Carloti. " well thats me good luck with your sorting" She strode up to the stool head held high graceful taking a seat. Hmm intresting intresting she herd the hat wiper in her head. Well i must say with pride and ambition like this I could only place you in "SLYTHERIN" Carloti smiled at this as she expected. Head held high still she walked over to the slytherin table taking a seat next to Ezri.

Ravyn bounced, waiting in anticipation until her name was called. "Smith, Ravyn" Ravyn felt a surge of butterflies fly into her stomach, but she shoved them away and made her way to the sorting hat. The hat was silent for a few moments, before calling out, "Well there is no doubt about this one. HUFFLEPUFF!" Ravyn went right to her table when the hat was taken off her head. She had a huge grin plastered onto her face, even though from what she heard a lot of people made fun of Hufflepuff. She didn't care. She was just glad to have the opportunity to even be in this school

Hearing someone sit next to Ezri startled Sardonyx so she brought her head back inside of Ezri's sleeve. Ezri looks over to Carloti and then back at the table.

As he made his way over to the Ravenclaw table, somewhat relucantly, Nathan gave the Slytherins a quick glance as they greeted the first years the hat had sorted into their house. The Ravenclaws seemed rather eager to make him feel at home as well but it only made him feel awkward, not to mention it was obviously the wrong house. It just had to be. However, it wasn't like he was allowed to complain about the decision the sorting hat had made so he just sat at the table while pretty much ignoring all of his new housemates, which earned him a few frowns. At least it wasn't the end of the world, Ravenclaw was still a better option than Hufflepuff or god forbid, Gryffindor. Nathan didn't even want to think about how his parents would react if he had ended up in Gryffindor.

Nathan sat still at the table and the other Ravenclaws lost interest in him and his rude behavior rather quickly and directed their attention to the other first years that had been sorted into Ravenclaw. One of them peaked Nathan's interest as well. A brunette girl that had just been sorted into Ravenclaw as well and her quite beautiful white owl. Nathan frowned at the pair slightly. Were they even allowed to bring their pets into the Great Hall?

Floa looked at Nathan. She could see him, and was interested in meeting him. He walked right up to him and said "How'd you get sorted into this house...? Anyways, my name is Floa. Nice to meet you! Oh, and this owl's name is Flurrie. I see she likes you too!" She smiled as Flurrie flew onto Nathan's shoulder and started giving him a "hello!" Peck. (And thanks a million for commenting on my character being beautiful. She is my pride and joy of my drawings. ^^)

Nathan was quite surprised when the girl he spotted with her owl walked right up to him. He didn't think anyone else was up to greeting him anymore after how well that went the first time. The boy didn't bother returning the girl's smile and merely turned his head slightly to look at the owl that had decided his shoulder was a great resting place. He didn't mind though and he cautiously brought his hand up to pet the owl's, Flurrie's, feathers while answering Floa's question absentmindedly, "I got sorted into this house the same way you did, I'd imagine." He didn't really understand what the girl was after with the question since the hat just decided it knew where he should belong, like with everyone else.

However, his mind didn't really linger on the subject as he carefully stroked Flurrie's smooth feathers. They felt quite soft against his fingers, it was a completely different feeling than petting his toad Kevin. Not necessary better, he loved Kevin's rough skin against his hand, just different. Besides, he hadn't really seen many owls up close, let alone petted them during his life. He had read a ton about them but never really got to observe one much for himself so he was quite happy about the opportunity. His parents never really liked owls much, they were more like cat people, which Nathan could understand. Cats were independent and clever, they lived by their own rules and did what they pleased. Cats didn't take bs from anyone. However, Nathan still preferred toads even if most people didn't see the beauty in them, toads were quite misunderstood. His parents hadn't really liked his choice in pet much either but let him have his way just this once. Nathan was grateful for it.

Realizing he had gotten quite lost in his thoughts, Nathan quickly turned his gaze back towards Floa when he realized he hadn't even told her his name. It was merely common courtesy to introduce yourself when someone introduced themselves. His parents wouldn't be too proud of him if they saw him now. "Oh right, I'm sorry." Nathan got up onto his feet beside Floa while being mindful of the owl on his shoulder before bowing slightly, which caused Flurrie to shift a bit when her human stool tipped slightly forward, "My name's Nathan Fawley, I'm pleased to meet you." Yet, he still didn't bother even trying to smile.

(The beautiful comment was actually about Flurrie. :p Floa certainly isn't an ugly girl either though. It was merely Nathan's thought as he's still a kid and doesn't really bother looking at other people like that. He's more interested in animals than people for academic purposes.)

Ravyn's happy attitude soon began to subdue now that the excitement was over, and she let out a sigh. She looked around and began to study the other houses. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and lastly her own. The butterflies returned again as she began to realize how many people there was. To distract herself she turned and started to chat with a Hufflepuff in a higher year.

Clover gets on a train heading to Hogwarts Split "hey split I wonder what the new school is like" Split nodded his head. "ok if you say so"

(Oh, well still, I think Flurrie was a beautiful choice for an owl too. ^^ Still happy about your comment about her! ^^)
"Huh? Well, ok. I guess it's not a bad name...." She was feeling awkward. She was used to people smiling from time to time, yet this strange boy didn't seem to smile at all! She nodded at him, gesturing to Flurrie that it was time to eat, just as the plated appeared on the table. She was a bit freaked out by Nathan, so she moved 2 seats away from him, giving him a last glance. Then, she started talking with another random girl, who turned out to be one of Hermione and Ron's children. She asked everything about the girl, and she answered. They got into a deep conversation about the girl's parents, and Floa pretended she hadn't even seen Nathan. She was freaked out, but she was going to talk to him in the dormitorys.

Clover got of the train and walked to hogwarts "I'm so excited and also scared. Are you excided split?" Split nodded his head.

Ezri sits quietly at her spot looking around at all the new faces and listening to all the different conversations around her. Sardonyx climbs up Ezri's neck and rests her little head on Ezri's collar bone.
