Sometimes I make a forum (on other sites) but find out it's already been made. I was thinking maybe we could have to option to delete forums that we created. There would be less question forums of the same topic and a lot easier to browse through the different forums. ~Thanks

No, Riako can delete them, not mods

It still would be nice if we can delete them though (only the ones we made, of course)

No support. Only mods are able to lock them, and only Riako can delete them. It will cause confusion if users will start deleting their threads when they feel like it.

Who said moderators can't delete forum threads? Of course they can. The forum is practically none of my business :P
You can just send the link of a thread to a moderator and ask him/her to delete it.

Ohh, hehe my bad. Still no support, like Riako said, you can just PM a moderator to close a thread and they will.

I support this. I feel like when this site gets a lot of users, this kind of thing will be a big headache for the staff and just put more work into their hands than necessary. Right now, it isn't really needed, but when this site starts to get an average of 100+ users on daily, then this would be better than having a ton of users PMing the mods to have their threads deleted.

You say that now when there's not that many users. Imagine modding a site as big as Pokefarm. I've already known personally how stressed out those mods can be, and that's without having to have users PMing you to to lock and delete threads.

What Autumn said.
Plus, when the site gets bigger and we feel like we can't handle it anymore, we always can hire more mods. :)

Still support this, though. Would be tons more convenient than PMing someone to do this. What's the point of hiring more mods when you can just give the users the option to do it?

I am neutral about this for now..

Sure it would be nice to be able to delete the threads but than people could abuse it and randomly delete the thread because they wouldn't like somebody's opinion on it or something like that (saw this happen on other communities)

But than on the other hand .. I saw mods going crazy and frustrated on other sites as they grew which is something that I don't want to see happen here ... I love this site because the mods are awesome and willing to help and don't yell at you because they get frustrated due to a lot of work they have - and I'd like to see this staying as it is.. So I am not actually supporting this not actually against it either.

There will be a "Report forum post" button soon. Which means that you can also report your own post (most likely the first post of a thread) and tell the moderator to delete the thread. Then the moderator can decide wheter it's useful to delete the thread or maybe also to keep it/lock it.

It's not always good to delete a thread. Sometimes they may help other users. ;)

Yep :3 Like in help section for instance - if you want to ask something and it was already asked but few pages ago it would still be helpful to keep the thread but lock it - so other users can see it faster and don't ask the same question again ^^

I was actually going to suggest a Report Forum Post thing! I swear, it's like our brains are sending signals to each other or something! XD Anyways, that would be pretty useful. It would ensure that the same mod doesn't get to many PMs at once.
