So you know when you make a poll, you have to vote to see the results. I think there should be an option at the poll manager called "See Results without Voting." This should be located next to the poll in the poll manager. What this would do is pretty obvious, you would be able to see your poll results without voting. I think this would be a neat update because sometimes you may ask something like "should I change my username" And you have to vote to see your results, and you might vote only to see results but you may forget what you voted and the scales would be uneven.

Correct me if I said something wrong, if you have an idea about how to make this better please post it"

EDIT: This would make poll answers more accurate

now if you want to see the results of the poll you have to vote yourself, otherwise that is not possible. That is what he means

I think Honi made a thread for poll suggestions, and she quoted this suggestion shouldn't be suggested again.

When you vote, you are not meant to know the results before voting. Like Presidential elections, if the majority voted for Obama, then the minority will follow the Majority to vote for Obama too. Just like I said before, voting is to vote without knowing the other's what they voted for. It's common sense in the real world, and should be common sense here, too.

EDIT: I don't know what you mean by "accurate". It's rare to see someone vote inaccurately, since you have to 'choose the choice you want' then click vote. You have 2 chances to double-check your answer.

Since the newest one was locked for being a repeat, I'm reviving this.

The original poster most likely meant the the creator of a poll would have the option of not voting. Some polls that I've made in the past I would have rather not voted on, instead just seeing what others think. Other times I did not mind voting because I wanted to include my own opinion, though I already knew it.

I definitely support this

Some polls I just don't know how to answer/know I can't change my vote so being able to see out of curiosity without just clicking an option that I don't actually support would be great!

Though, the only problem is that fewer people might feel the need to actually participate in polls and therefore fewer votes might be a problem, just for those who'd rather go around seeing other's opinions instead of participating? But I suppose that would avoid false support of certain options just because they picked a random one to see what the voting results looked like.

I've been wondering how to suggest something that would solve this problem for more than a year now, and this would DEFINITELY be a useful add-on! The problem often leads to me having 1 less answer than I wanted and then having people annoy me by picking a "creator only" option because there was no other way to see what the outcome was. Trying to tell people not to do it often makes it worse due to general internet culture, so this suggestion definitely cuts that part of the equation out and would improve the situation by a lot!

I really like this suggestion and was thinking about doing it myself! Maybe there could be a tick box when you make the poll so you can change it from everyone being able to pick the see results option to just you being able to do that, depending on the poll, that might be useful.
