My Signature is a literal representation of my Username, I went through many gifs to find something of that nature where the "glitching" is minimal and is not an eye sore and is in fact something interesting to look at.

Quote from YouAgain, if you do not trust a link, do not click it. That's a simple rule on the internet

I have argued this before, I was on the iPad for 3 whole months and I was unable to highlight links and I would have to tap them with my finger to figure out what they were. Not only that but I have said before that Children play this site and they may not know of that little trick.

Anyways you have been posting in here an awful lot and we have seen your Point of View so can you please refrain from posting any more. Thanks

I believe this is an arguable point. I feel as though all points should be heard. We have seen both points of view in this situation, but I am not the only opposed to this issue.

Your image still fits the criteria needed to be disturbing, especially since this is site is composed of a community with minors-which is what you and almost every other individual in this post have argued. I am not harassing, but I refuse to be shut up.

I'm confused about why you quoted me and stated right after that you argued for this point. It was never about hovering a link, it was about the principle of not clicking it if you do not agree.

pretty pretty please. I just visited a user profile with a very severe flashing gif on it, and it was a pretty painful experience. I'm still in pain now, even after closing the tab.

That's not really a screamer, according to the discussion. Sorry.

It was brought up earlier in the thread, and it's along the same principle of "things that could cause health issues".

The creator of the thread had a flashing and disturbing avatar and signature for Halloween and that was discarded, yet it was under the same principle you have just presented.

You can't say it was discarded when only one person said they didn't think it was a problem. You can never take the word of just a single person for general issues like this.

My problems with flashing images are a fairly recent development, and I honestly don't know a whole lot about the issue outside of how it impacts me personally, but maybe someone who's better-informed knows of some guidelines that could be helpful.

Support. I get scared really easily, plus i have a bad eye seizure. My head hurts and my eyes loose vision for a while, and I just personally hate screamers.

Also gonna add that typically-trustworthy sites like YouTube and Photobucket can and do host screamers and sensory abuse images. So "only click on links to trustworthy sites" is not a sufficient defense.

I believe it is quite a sufficient defense. I'd never trusted Youtube or Photobucket, and saying that they are trusted is subjective.

Neutral, screamers and such things are very subjective stuff. There are some people who likes it and some who does not. So, probably a suggestion not to post that stuff is fine but not a rule that completely bans it, because that's like restricting people's interests. Not to mention what kind of things can be defined as "scary" differs from person to person.
Also, there are ways to avoid or at least reduce shock from screamers. One of the best way : turn off the speaker. two: do not add random people, they tend to post the screamers for fun.

For those who mentioned deaths, it is like blaming tall buildings and guns for suicide cases. You can't blame the object.

Bump! Why isn't his implemented? I'm having my say here.

I've never had a seizure or something, but reading other users' description has shakened me. Why isn't this banned already? This is already a violation of PH rules.

The screamers can cause panic attacks to normal people. And to the people who're prone to seizures, it's just...killing. Seizures can also hospitalise people. Why, a user is posting a screamer, and looking at this suggestion and saying, 'I like it, and so I'll do.' when, an innocent user sees this and has 5-10 minutes of agony. If it is night, then they'll be prone to nightmares. And those who aren't scared from this, listen this, others can be scared. I remember myself having nightmares for more than one month due to this.

And those users who say: "You can look at the links." It ISN'T trustworthy. And some younger users DON'T know this. Will you tell every newbie you pass that:
"This place is prone to screamers and check your links. Even that hasn't a guarantee that you'll not see one. It is YOUR fault if you get to the hospital or die due to this.
PH community"

Moving this to 'other suggestions' since it isn't really a suggestion on communication ^^

I support this. Since screamers are not only scary, they could cause a seizure.

Support! PH is a site for all ages and I don't want anyone on here to get killed. And even though Timid is just a sprite on here, I'm pretty sure he's scared too.
I'm awesome!
And all those who are making suggestions that will make PH safer, I agree with you and thank you.

Full support but i'd like to add that some user pictures can have the same effect. I've removed a few users frommy friendlidt because they had moving gifs as user image that gave me a migraine. Where epileptic people get a seizure i get a migraine so i semi know the feeling.

Another thing, whenever my parents find out I'm playing on a website they think isn't my age level (I'm going to be 12 on July 1st) or see something that I could see on a site like this they punish me and ban from that site. I'm sure other houses might have this same rule and I don't want to get banned from this site so this is why we should have that rule.
I'm awesome!

I don't know if this was already said, but here's my view: For many reasons that are already said, I support this. But here's another thing to help. If people see that SPECIFICALLY you cannot put a screamer link on here, then they're less likely to do it, especially if, on the rule, they say that it can be a health issue! Of course, there will be those who just don't care, but those who do will probably remember not to post it!

This is a good idea. I mean pokeheroes is supposed to be a friendly site that won't cause health issues. I can't handle flashing lights. But maybe it would be better if they had to put a clear warning on the link.
