Yeah, and I’m definitely happy for her, it’s great! But, I just feel like I’m going to have a hard time getting people to trust me.

"I seriously doubt I have one... I'm nothing special." Jaden laughed. "Besides, I'll find out soon, probably. And I read up a bit on Loki...he's not... well, the most likeable god. Well, he's sort of charismatic, but at heart, he's a trickster... sometimes a jerk." She paused. "But that's nothing to hate you for... I think the phrase 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree' isn't always true."

Lorelei kept quiet. She had heard what Mack had said and it made her wince. "The goddess of immortality?" she was still shocked. Her food tasting like apples and the trees in her room made sense now. She sighed and went back to looking miserable.

"Well...now I know why I had some sort of foresight...I'm...the son of Heimdallr?" Remus said slowly. "According to the book, he always had good foresight and good knowledge of predictions...perhaps..." He then turned to look at Jaden. "That means I can probably trust my hunches more...and what I said earlier could stand..."

Lorelei shoots him a knowing, spiteful look. She takes a bite of food, so she doesn't have to answer the rest of the question. It tastes like apples. It makes her frown, but she keeps eating.

Lorelei didn't respond. She shrugged her shoulders and continued eating. Her flawless skin, and perfect hair made a few people stare. When she noticed them, she shot them wicked glares that made them stop. She hated being the center of attention, it made her angry. She fought to contain herself, so she wouldn't make a fool of herself in front of all these people.

Mack decided to let Lorelei be. If she wasn’t ready to forgive him, there was nothing he could do about that. He thought, and remembered something he had heard about Loki. He could shapeshift, right? He decided he wanted to try.

"Nothing really out of the ordinary..." Honestly, Jaden reckoned it was more likely for her to be born with a good gut feeling and senses than to have a godly parent, but... apparently that wasnt the case. Her dad was a god? She tried to grapple with the thought.
