"Hmph. 1." Gleen said. She sat down. For some reason, she liked this girl. She didn't know why. She took in every detail of the girls face.

Emmie's hands shook. Her eyes were still wide with shock. She thought about what Cat had told her about being picked. She wrung her hands and explored the train.

Tempest smiles, feeling slightly better to have someone to talk to about her situation. When Gateguard offers to help her, an idea pops into her head. Tempest leans in close to Gateguard. She lowers her voice so that no one can overhear her. "We should team up in the arena" she tells him. "I'm pretty sure that was a given" she adds with a slight chuckle. There would be no way she wouldn't team up with him.

Harlow helps herself to some of the food. She glances over at Tempest. She recognizes her, but she won't say anything about it. They didn't really associate with each other in the arena, and that would remain the same now. Harlow wasn't eager to talk to anyone, it wasn't worth it. She would potentially have to kill them one day anyway.

Kayda watches Chakti with a confused look. She isn't entirely sure what to do. "Erm- you okay buddy?" She asks nervously

Emmie trips over her shoes and crashes to the floor. She looks up and sees Tempest and Gateguard. She hears Tempest's last words but doesn't react. She groans. A decent sized bruise begins to blossom on her face.

"Of course I'd be more than willing to assist you." He agreed easily, nodding. His eyes flickered to Harlow, recognizing her as someone who had come from the previous games as well. "Although I will warn you. Any actions I take during publicity events are purely for gaining sponsors. I hope that my personality in front of the camera won't prove detrimental to our alliance." He forewarned, already formulating an idea of what kind of character he wanted to show to potential sponsors.

He shrugged a little, then walked back over to Kayda. "I think it's best that I just... " He trailed off, spotting a few bits of good food. *Ahem!* "I think I'll just grab a bite to eat then go.. erm.. Chat a little."

Emmie swallowed. She hoped they didn't notice her. But her head hurt so badly. She nearly started to cry but held her breath. She closed her eyes.

Tempest nods, appreciating the warning. "No worries, I understand how it is. Sometimes you have to make up a cruel image in order to survive in a place like this" like Gateguard, she already had an idea on how she wanted to present herself to the capitol. While it won't sabotage the alliance, it could be poking a sleeping dragon. Her goal is to be aggressive in her responses. She'll speaking to the capitol, not directly of course. She'll be choosy with her choice of words.

Kayda narrows her eyes. "I wouldn't do that" she snaps. "Go grad food, but don't speak to anyone. Everyone here will stab you in the back quicker than you can breath. You are safer avoiding everyone" she adds. In truthfulness, she doesn't want Chakti talking to people. Her little puppet could gain confidence in a much... healthier group. She already has her claws in someone, she refuses to let anyone take him from her. She glances over at Emmie. Hmm.. she could be puppet number 2... Kayda bends down and offers a hand out to Emmie. "You okay?" She asks sweetly. Although there was something dangerous in her gaze

Emmie looks up in fear. She decides to answer honestly. "No. I am not okay." she says. The large bruise on her face is turning purple, matching her hair.

Chakti looked at her sideways, then chuckled a little bit, then but into a piece of cake. With a muffled voice, he said, "Well, it's not like they can do that right now. Besides, I think talking to a stranger might clear my head just a little more." He swallowed , then took another bite of cake.

"Oh no. Let me help you" Kayda moves over to where the food is, she finds some ice cooling drinks. She grabs a handful and walks back over to Emmie. Bending down in front of her, she gently places the ice on her bruise. "Is that better?" Kayda asks.

What Tempest was thinking that he was going to do was probably off base but Gateguard didn't mind. He knew that he was conventionally attractive and paired with his powers he could easily weave the image of a seductive man that can win the competition with charm alone. He was bound to catch some sponsors hook line and sinker with his more sensual persona and careful words. "Well, I'm glad that we have come to the same understanding." He nodded firmly. He was looking forward to working with Tempest.

Kayda notices the shocked expression, but she doesn't say anything about it. "You gotta be more careful" she cations. "My name's Kayda" she greets. "What's yours?" She hopes Emmie will open up, this will make her more likely to join her and hopefully Chakti once she works with him more. In her own head, they were both weak. ~~I love how all my evil bois, are all really weak. So it's funny they think that~~. Weak meant they'll both swarm behind a strong leader, and be much easier to kill when push comes to shove.

Tempest nods in agreement. She smiles, feeling much better now than she felt in awhile. It was nice being able to talk to someone friendly again. Even better that it's someone who is brothers with someone who she was close to. It was easy for her to forget that this happiness would soon go away. They were all walking into a slaughter house after all.

Sensing a bit of a lull, Gateguard fished for a few topics to talk about that didn't involve the up coming Hunger Games. They would have plenty of time to talk about that and for now he wanted to focus on the happier aspects of life. "Tell me about yourself? I've heard plenty from Shion but he has a tendency to gloss over a lot of things now a days. But I did hear that you were instrumental in his and his group's survival."
