“Oh. Hehe” Shadow said. In reality, he had a low capacity for bad
puns, but he would let it slide, as he really wanted another friend
to quest with.
“I was wondering if you would like to go one a quest?” I’m trying
to find a red ember, because I really want to evolve. At least, I
could save up for enough to buy one from one of these stalls. What
do you say? Want to go questing?”
Alex nodded. He finally had something to do! "Sure, did you have a
quest in mind, or should we check the quest board?" Shadow didn't
seem to get the pun, but Alex didn't let that get him down. He took
a look at the cat. He was probably new too, didn't seem to know
many others, and was probably looking for a friend. "What do you
think about dragons?"
When Lyra made her way to the Haunted Mansion, she went inside to
try and find some monsters that would drop some coins. After
hearing a noise behind her she sprang into action and attacked some
sort of tree monster. After a few hours of fighting, it was getting
dark, she was all battered up but she had a potion that helped a
bit. After all of that she had about 250 coins, so she went back to
the guild so she could disposit some of it.
Purrcilla was still resting in her den after having her heart break
into a million pieces. She wasn't thinking anymore her mind was
empty...
Well... lets just say I’ve had a very bad time with them... But
anyway, lets just check the quest board. The thing is, I may be a
weird questing teammate. When fighting, I use any distractions I
can get, but I will protect my questmates. I’ve actually defeated a
dragon before, but it was with... ummm never mind. I think you’ve
defeated one too! Anyway let’s check out the board.
Silver slipped past her friends and grabbed Miko just before she
could run after Molotov. "I have something for you." She whispered
and slipped the sharpener into Miko's bag. "Check it out after the
quest, kay?" She whispered rapidly. Miko then nodded, racing after
the other cat from her little friend group. Silver sighed, and
entered the Guild, watching Luna's tail disappear into the
fortress, but she wasn't tired just yet.
Alex grinned. Finally, someone who maybe shared his same hatred of
dragons. "I've defeated multiple dragons actually, it was yesterday
in fact. But lets not DRAG ON now, and look at the board. Alex
bounded over to the board (i use bounded too much but i love the
word for some reason.). He reviewed what he knew about this cat. He
was sneaky, but probably pretty insecure about friendships, judging
by how he kept talking about himself and such.
Alex looked at the board. He didn't look at the easy quests, he
wanted a challenge. "How about this quest? Alex asked, pointing to
the one about dragons at Yellowtail Cove, a place near the beach
that Alex knew. "Also, you never gave me your name."
“Hi, I’m Shadow”. Yellowtail Cove sounds great! I’ve been in the
area, so I know all the hiding places and the entrances. I haven’t
looked for embers though, so maybe I could find one.
Shadow smiled. Alex reminded him of his brother, Lance. His face
turned melancholy again. If only I could’ve protected him from
them... that’s why I don’t want to become attached to anyone, yet
don’t want to lose anyone. I so sincerely wish I could travel back
in time...
Silver ran to Alex and Shadow. "Hey! Whatcha doin'?" She called,
hoping to catch them before they raced off. If they were going on a
quest, she wanted to join, she could use a levelup. Maybe she could
even meet Miko, wherever she had been going.
Alex grinned. "Hey silver! We were about to go on a dragon quest,
its down at the beach and we could use someone else- but again I
shouldn't DRAG ON." He winked. "So, you want to come? Also, thanks
for lunch!"
When she got back to the guild she saw that Miko had evolved and
suspected that maybe she go her gift. Lyra saw that Alex was about
to leave, and decided to go talk to him, so she trotted over and
said. "Hey, just wanted to tell you that I know agree with you now,
dragons are the worst!" Then she left and went to her den so she
could deposit some of her gold.
“Ummm, hi! What are your powers again?, I didn’t catch it.” Shadow
asked Silver.
Deep inside Shadow was a little worried. What if this cat couldn’t
fend for herself? Then what? Would she be a liability.
In the end, Shadow decided to take her. “You can come, but I hope I
don’t regret this”, he said kindly.
“I don’t want to witness another death.” He sadly thought.
"Hey! Silver's been here longer than both of us, you're not gonna
regret it, don't underestimate her!" Alex brashly snapped at
Shadow. "Uh... sorry, im pretty impulsive. But still bro! We're
new! This is an experienced fighter! Of course we would want he
with us!"
Alex had'nt even known her for a day, but he already felt like he
was good friends with silver. She loved puns, and was open, and now
showing she was willing to fight dragons ! What more could you want
in a cat?
Shadow jumped back, startled. “Ohh. Sorry if I was rude, silver. I
just couldn’t stand to los... never mind. Anyway, I normally make
sure that I know everyone in my group well before questing. So
could you tell me what your powers are? I’m good at combining mine
with them.”
“Wow”, Shadow thought. “I didn’t know Alex had a dark-ish side to
him”. Maybe his impulsiveness just comes from being a natural
troublemaker.
Silver gave a good humored glare to Shadow. She honestly could
never take insults from newbies seriously. "Oh come on! I've been
here all my life. This quest'll be a piece of cake. Unlike my
sister," She pointed at the sword on her back "I've had this weapon
since I was young." She started toward the entrance. "Now hurry up,
you two!" She called back cheerfully. "You'll see my powers in
action!"
Shadow looked around, confused. “Why was everyone here so
temperamental? I mean, Alex one second is yelling, the other making
jokes, and Silver protests, and talks cheerfully. What have I
gotten myself into?”
"Eh, I just use my claws for the most part. But I can be pretty
crafty, and use the environement and objects around me in my
favour." Again, Alex would rather have people in the gruop
underestimate him, so he didn't reveal his elemental control (if
anyone asked about his tatoos, he'd say it was 'just for the
asthetic lol).
"Lets go then!" Alex began strutting to the beach, near where the
dragons were, without waiting for the rest of the group.
Alex could'nt help but have frequent move swings. It was a needed
personality living on the street; you never knew what would happen
next, and you had to be ready for everything. He was having a hard
time adjusting, but he'd get the hang of it.
