Waffle sounds an awful lot like the townie cop, after all, she was locked in a phone cell, and the cop couldn't take action because they were locked in a phone cell. However, I may be wrong.

I also don't feel suspicious towards anybody, as it is perfectly normal to hide your role... but saying "if you didn't want the mafia to kill you" sounds like they're swerving to avoid it. It's a common thing to do, and oftentimes are pointed to something other than townie.
