One way would be to 'Protect Alpha' the line art layer, and then to just change the colours for the parts you'd like to colour change.

I honestly suggest to blend by hand, instead of using blur tool.
Usually the products of hand blending greatly outclass a blurred product : )

As someone who also uses FireAlpaca and used a laptop trackpad for a long time, I'd suggest turning the 'Correction" option to the maximum, so your lines end up smoother.

I haven't posted anything for a while, here's a thing I just finished

im testing it out now, but im finding it kinda hard to use when turned to max, it just feels awkward.

i'll practice with it though.

I personally use it at about ten, unless i'm just sketching-then it's usually at zero. whatever works for you though--

I ended up being really offline today-

But besides not being able to comment on people art, I did try out another method for painting.
I didn't like how the protect alpha method made everything look so plastic-y
