Thats really random...i had one hunt which was over after a few days and another one which took me about a year.

It depends on your luck and on how many eggs are in tall grass, how many gems you use....

Is there a visual indicator when a pokemon with a special power spawns at the honey tree like there is for shinies? I got one from there today but wasn't sure if I just didn't see the icon or if there isn't one.

You get it when you finish the tutorial - though it may take a couple of minutes to appear.

On the wiki it says that there are foods that restores your energy by 75% and 100% (Pizza Summer and Sharpelone) but I can't find it in the La Seashellos Restaurant.

They aren't unlocked from the start. Simply keep fishing [and buying food] and you'll unlock them.

@KingHydra: The wiki also says: You may unlock more dishes from time to time.
You need to unlock the last 3 dishes by restoring your energy with buying the other dishes. After doing this a few times you unlock the last few. Hope this helps :)

Do you mean non-premium?
Yes, you can shiny hunt Snorlax. You won't get the same chance as a premium m, but you can chain and get a (slightly) increased chance even as a non-premium (:

I don’t think, you can cancel Prof. Quests until you get the badge “Prof. Best Friend”. If you have completed all five ‘mon raising quests, then you get the badge and the power to accept or reject the quest on every monday.
