Just keep on interacting.. maybe try doing at least 1,000 interactions per day to raise your chances.. but, don't force yourself to do a 10,000 interactions (if you don't usually do that) and expect to receive it.. 'coz it's really random.. as Riako says so. ;)

Also a small reminder: Please read the first post when you have any questions. And also read a bit through the comments - some questions are also answered there by users.
And stop asking "Will my interactions reset every day", because... that's not how this event works ;) It's not a counter; it's random.

I got an egg last year, and I got an egg this year. Hopefully, I will get another by February. 23k interactions down.

It showed up on my user bar after doing 597 interactions for today plus a couple of lazy clicking from 11 days after I've gotten my first one. Lol. :P
