There have been mini-reports of this in a [collection] thread - [which I don’t think is a great idea as posts get buried / hard to reply to easily]. There has been this thread, which is more of a complaint [that it hasn’t been fixed for such a long time]. But there hasn’t been a standalone bug report, which is why this issue may have been overlooked.

Basically, the right hand side of the bug hatching minigame is cut off on mobile. This means that you’re missing out on some bugs that spawn in that 1/8th of the frame. You are also prone to make more mistakes, by clicking on a half-shown sprote.

You also cannot view the whole frame vertically, but that’s not a huge issue, as bugs cannot spawn in the lower grass area, but still a bug nonetheless.

This is possibly because the aspect ratio hasn’t been updated to modern phones/devices. Or because it had never been optimised for mobile in the first place.

Turning off mobile support makes the frame fully visible, but it is significantly harder to click on the sprites (clicks don’t go through sometimes, you have to click again)

A solution would be to remove the links sidebar for the BHC page.

Similar mobile issue - claim button cut off

These both only occur on phones, not tablets.

I noticed this last month too, I don't think it's always been like this because I remember playing BHC on mobile at one point and it was fine. I'm actually going to check on other browsers to see if it's there's any it's fine on.

I downloaded Edge, Samsung Internet, and Opera just to check for this. (Side note when typing my password on Opera and Samsung Internet I didn't see a option to reveal my password as I typed it so that was interesting.)

Yes, this is definitely something relatively new to mobile use for the BHC. I used to be able to play it while waiting for the bus on my phone bad enough quality that it could not read QR codes, a few years back. Mobile setting enabled, and it hasn't changed since then. I wonder if it started after the migration or that I just wasn't interested in the BHC for the first bit of time that it happened until just a couple months ago?
