I’ve noticed that whenever non-bug type event Pokemon show up in the Bug Hatching Contest, the same Event always shows up excessively. This has happened to me with Derpatung, and Easter Bunnelby+Diggersby (those two both showed up excessively in the same minigame run).

Not sure what causes this, but a solution would be to completely remove event Pokemon from the BHC. (This would also be less confusing for newer users, who don’t know the typings of older events - e.g. Buttercream is not a bug type)

(Not sure if this has been reported before, but it’s not in the Confirmed section, or in any reports containing “contest”. And I’m not going to search through all bug reports containing “event”, for obvious reasons ^^’)

I have noticed this multiple times, particularly with Item Market filter notifications, as there are more of those.

Sometimes, I’ve seen a feed from a friend on the Trending section of the notification wall, which doesn’t show up in my notifications page.

I think this is because gameplay notifications take priority when clicking ‘show more’, so if there are 20 feeds + 5 GTS filters, only 15 feeds + 5 filters are shown. Likely the same thing with Honeytree/Auction notifications.

I’ve been removing and re-adding the GTS filters each morning for the last few days, and there are more feeds from friends showing up after than before, which confirms this issue.

Honeytree/gifts/private trade notifications are repeated each time you click ‘show more’; not sure if that also hides social feeds.

There have been mini-reports of this in a [collection] thread - which I don’t think is a great idea as posts get buried / hard to reply to easily. There has been this thread, which is more of a complaint [that it hasn’t been fixed for such a long time]. But there hasn’t been a standalone bug report, which is why this issue may have been overlooked.

Basically, the right hand side of the bug hatching minigame is cut off on mobile. This means that you’re missing out on some bugs that spawn in that 1/8th of the frame. You are also prone to make more mistakes, by clicking on a half-shown sprote.

You also cannot view the whole frame vertically, but that’s not a huge issue, as bugs cannot spawn in the lower grass area, but still a bug nonetheless.

Only sceeenshot I can find (for now, contest is closed till 1/6, will get new one then):

This is possibly because the aspect ratio hasn’t been updated to modern phones/devices. Or because it had never been optimised for mobile in the first place.

Similar mobile issue - claim button cut off

These both only occur on phones, not tablets.

Seems like this isn’t exactly solved. Similar thing happened to me with Wepear berries; I had 8 in my berry bag, tried to put them in, only 2 got put in. It displayed 6 left, but they didn’t get put in when I tried again. Reloaded the page, and they disappeared (not in berry bag, seed bag, or any seed makers).

Not sure what the exact cause is, but it’s possibly due to shifting between the seed makers too quickly (i.e. before they get put in to one, you close it, and go to another. There’s a visual bug that occurs due to this - it appears the seeds are placed into the second seed maker, instead of the first, but that’s a different issue). Also possibly because of slow internet / lag, again related to the same issue; shifting between seed makers or reloading the page too quickly; before the berries are put in.

Possibly because the system first removes the berries from your berry bag, before adding them to the seed makers. So the first step (removal) is completed, but for whatever reason, the second (addition) isn’t.

Not sure what could cause only some of the berries to be added though.

This post isn’t about the cost/rewards for tasks, since I’m (thankfully) not a high enough level to experience those, but more about the difficulty of completing them (within a certain timeframe), similar to this post

I recently got a task that asked for 58 Lansat Berries at Level 5. I don’t even have any Lansat berries in my Berry Bag, only had 1 in my item bag. And there were none on item/berry market, so I had to get help from other users.

I think it would be a good idea to remove both purple/red star berries from tasks, or lower their growth times, as they take an extremely long time to grow.

Another thing should be to limit the level requirement to your level+1. I had to level up the Lansat Berry from 1 to 5, which takes a while, especially if you’re unlucky.

Also, berry yields for purple/red star berries should be higher. Pretty sure there’s only a 50% chance to get a second berry for each plant (so you only get 1.5x per harvest).

Increasing the time frame for difficult tasks would work, but that’d just make it tedious and repetitive, if you’re levelling the same berries for a single task.

Not exactly sprite issue, but an image/art issue:
Silver, Brown, and Green Powders display a broken image when waiting to be claimed at the Cooking Pot. This is because “big” images don’t exist for them.

I don't really agree with making the recipes available at an earlier level, since that'd just mean more people looking to buy the powders, but the same number of people completing powder tasks. Level 30 doesn't take too long to reach, getting powders takes much longer. Maybe if powders were obtainable from tasks from level 15, there'd be something to work towards while increasing your Level. (And if users aren't aiming for the legendaries, there'd be more powders for sale). Though the issue with that would be that the items needed for tasks are significantly cheaper / easier to obtain at lower levels.

Another idea could possibly be to introduce level rewards: 1 White Powder every 5 levels from 15-30, 1 every level for 30+ (that might be too much, maybe 2 every 5 levels 30 till 50, and 1 every level for 50+)
[That'd probably require a separate suggestion thread though.]

Like I said earlier, I think the main issue is the lack of powders for sale. So either upping the drop rate, or making them obtainable in multiple ways, should help.

Another small idea would be to make them obtainable from the beach. You could find them washed up on the shore, like the Shoal items, at a 1/500-1/1000 chance (you can only get 5 items per day). Or you could fish them up very rarely. Doesn't really make sense lore-wise how you can get a mysterious "white powder" from delivering berries to NPCs. [Though again, this'd require another suggestion, which is a bit annoying, since these are all related to the same idea - cost / ease of obtaining the Swords of Justice]

Got confused for a second by what you meant by GC lol. Yeah, the Gem Legendaries are also quite expensive. But I feel like those are a bit more passive; you don't have to refresh Board tasks every 15 minutes, you don't have to check the Item Market as often, since there's a lot more gems available compared to powders. You can also get gems in multiple ways, not just buying them (slots, rumble).

There's a suggestion to lower the number of gems needed, but I don't think that's the right approach. Made a suggestion a couple days ago to lower the rarity tier for Ice, Ghost, and Fire gems, which would mean there's more of them available. Especially since both Glastrier and Articuno need Ice gems, so they're currently worth 3k PD.

Bump! I think the main issue is the page reloading each time you delete a task, so preventing the page from reloading would also work.

The number of eggs in the Tall Grass varies a lot, typically depending on whether the Pokémon has an event counterpart. Some species have 0 eggs, while others have 100s. This means that some users get more Gimmicoins than others.

I have thought of a few options:
- Add X eggs to the Tall Grass at the beginning of each rotation/the event. This would also benefit shiny hunters, not just Gimmicoin collectors, which isn't the intended purpose. They would also stay after the event eggs.
- Change every species to "many" (infinite eggs), similar to the Tadbulb/Orthworm event. Either Daycare-released eggs would be used first, or they could be preserved till the end of the event, so the Tall Grass population isn't affected.
- Add an egg to the tall grass every X minutes. This could be random, like the daycare, or guaranteed.

EHP for eggs varies a lot, no matter the rarity. The lowest is 1530 for Magikarp, easy rarity. Easy rarity eggs can also have 5355 EHP. These eggs give the same amount of Gimmicoins, even though they take much longer to hatch. Medium rarity varies from 2805, Croagunk, to 9180, Aron. Thats an over 6k EHP difference.

I have thought of two options:
- Limit the EHP of eggs to 5355 EHP (or 4080/6630, but it should be the same for all users)
- Scale Gimmicoins with EHP, as well as rarity (though I still think this is unfair, as some users will get more coins, as they have higher EHP eggs, and the same number of eggs from daycare)

Currently, fair tickets are converted at a 1:1 ratio at the end of the event. This doesn't really make sense, as Newton and its shiny are worth less than Meloetta and its shiny, respectively. A 1:5 ratio would give them the same price, as well as balance out Mega Stones and Celestica Flutes, as well as the other evolution items.

If the incentive is to get users to spend their Fair Tickets, instead of convert them, then a 1:3 ratio would also work.

This could potentially bring more Celestica Flutes into the market, helping users who can't do Emera Square contests get the items. It would also provide another means to get Festival Points, as there are only 4 other ways (Bug, Beauty, Oak, Berry), 1 of which is an event, another is locked behind a series of quests, another requires a lot of items to decorate, and the last requires luck.
