Hi,

Under the Settings tab in Profile Layout, if you scroll to the bottom under Advanced Settings, there’s the option to choose to toggle showing ‘Last Action’ on and off.

Personally I keep it off as I find it quiet creepy and stalker-ish for someone to constantly be able to watch what I’m doing, which I know is how quite a few other people feel about it too.

But under the Community tab in the Union Room, if you tap on ‘View who’s online’ you can still see quite clearly what people are up to when they’re online. I believe this must have been an update at some point because I don’t remember it being there before.

Is this not considered a breach of privacy if someone wishes to keep their profile private and keep the Last Action option turned off? Is there any way to turn this off too? Or can an option be added to also turn this off or at least not be on the list? Or, even better, this list be deleted completely, as I see very little use for it anyway?

I did know about it and ages back, I made the decision to turn off my 'view last action' because people were using it to whine that I wasn't responding to them fast enough *rolls eyes*.

As for the community tab, I do make use of that. Not for creepy stalkery reasons and I don't care what they were doing but sometimes when I am clicking online lists and I blow past a prof Rowan quest too fast to stop, I might catch a partial of their name so I use that list to look for the name (if it's one I'm unfamiliar with) so I can track down that quest mon and add it to the list.

This community tab option has been there for years. In fact, there's kinda 2 versions of it. One that just shows the online people (which is the one I mentioned I use) and one that shows every single person. This other one I have used as well. In this case for when cleaning up my friend list. you can use that to see when ppl were last on and therefore make it easier to decide whether to keep them on your friendlist or not. No point keeping them if it's been years since they were last on.

I kind of wish it would only show when was the last action made. I must say that I do sometimes use it to check if the person is AFK, though. I’m really impatient. The 'online' thing stays there for at least 15 minutes if the person is not doing anything (And I personally think it should be 5), so it’s usually the only way of checking if someone’s active if you don’t want to bother them with 'Hey, you on' type of messages. It was definitely used for stalking before, though.
