If only it was possible to trust someone absolutely. To have someone you knew wasn't going to slit your throat in your sleep. Although... Amelia paused. Was she all too upset at the idea of dying? It was a fascinating thought, death was. At the same time, though, a scary one.
She almost wished she did have someone she trusted absolutely. But that was impossible. You couldn't trust anybody. And yet...
...
It was strange, really, but her mind couldn't help but wander to the enigma that was Kei Oshima. That person had at least seemingly shared so much with her. Could it be that although they had scarcely gotten acquainted, Kei had already instilled a foolish trust within Amelia? Perhaps she even thought they'd be something more than allies... friends, maybe.
She almost wished for that. For a moment, she almost caught herself wishing for that. The idea of friends in this unfamiliar place. But, no. Such a thought was foolish. She could not trust anyone but herself. She could not rely on anyone but herself.
Amelia stepped into her dorm room, and shut the door behind her. She almost wanted to board the thing up. As she looked in the mirror, a voice whispered in her ear...
Can you? Can you really trust yourself, knowing what you've done?
She thought she saw something, in the mirror, it flickered and then it was gone. She shook the thought away. She must have imagined it. Yes. Of course she could trust herself.
She considered, briefly, bringing out her possessions and looking through them. But she was growing quite tired from all that had already occurred that day. She would take notes, she would reflect further later. She needed to rest for now.
Amelia got up and locked the door. Hopefully, whoever her roommate was wouldn't come in and disturb her.
She thought briefly on Wei En, she wasn't sure if she liked such a person, she seemed... like a wild card, to say the least. She'd have to be on the lookout for her. As for Nightrekra, she hadn't gotten much of an impression of that person. Amaya... she would have to seek out later. Everyone else, she'd have to figure out as she went along.
If she wanted to go along, that was. But dying seemed a shame when things could get particularly interesting, very soon.
Smiling stiffly, Amelia laid down and attempted to sleep.

"Everything is going to be okay."
Shizuka Matsubara
"Life," Shizuka sighed. "What a thing. After all these years, it still manages to throw me for a loop." They stared soullessly into the wall. "Murder games. What a place to end up."
The ghost of Kubo patted them on the shoulder then blinked out of existence.
Eris was currently alone in her shared dorm room. Her roommate hadn't yet arrived, which gave her a few precious moments. She took out her tarot cards and began a reading...
(OOC: lol, me about to look up tarot card reading information for this)
Emika was in a harsh mood after storming into her shared dorm room. She snarled hatefully and flopped onto her bed, ready to scream into her pillow to release her pent up emotions.
Nightrekra finally arrived to the dorm rooms. She skipped her way into hers...
Monokuma
"Toys, that's what they are." Monokuma swirled a wine glass, the red matching the glow of his eyes, and that of the illuminated screen behind him. "Just a child's play thing. Little dolly, missing an eye, arm ripped right off."
He lifted the glass to examine it. Before him, a chess table sat, illuminated in the red glow. The pieces were set up. Checkmate. One move left. Defeat inevitable, a white king illuminated in bloody darkness.
The wine glass crashed down onto the table. With a sweep of his plushied arm, Monokuma cleared the table and every piece clattered to the floor.
"Puhuhuhuhu~" His laughter rang out. "But who's the dollmaker?"
Shizuka Matsubara
Shizuka jerked upwards with a gasp, their hands immediately flying to their eye. For a second, it seemed impossible for them to have two hands- to be staring into the ticking clock across their bed.
Slowly, shakily, they released a breath and slumped back into their bed.
3am. They were awake at 3am.
It must've been a nightmare. Something about blood and chess and a doll's button eye, scattered on the floor-
Shizuka shuddered, despite themself. The thought of going to sleep now... they cringed. Welp, guess that's another ungodly wake-up hour for me!
"Hey," they called softly out into the room. "...Roommate. You awake?"
Hotaru Tsutsumi
Hotaru dreamt of gold. Gold and money. Gold was always worth a lot because people read stupid stories about gold written by people like her. Smart people. Evil people.
She sighed dreamily.
Exploiting people... truly the life.
Amaya Ono
Amaya had not gone back to his dorm. That was a fool's choice. Willingly locking yourself in a room with a person who had reason to kill you?
No, he decided. The only intelligent choice was to stay awake for the next two weeks surviving on caffeine and rage. Clearly this would not backfire in any way. Clearly.
By 3am he was in a bathroom stall rocking back and forth and praying for the sweet release of death.
Eris stretched her arms as she sat up in bed. Despite the circumstances, it had been a good rest. Although her tarot reading may have been a help, which she had left out on her desk... Using the Major Arcana and a Downward Pyramid spread, she had pulled the first row, which consisted of the Wheel of Fortune reversed, the Emperor, and The Fool, then the second row, which consisted of Death and The Lovers reversed, and finally the point, which showed of The Hanged Man... She understood perfectly.
Emika sighed when she woke up. The night had been fitful... Not the situation, of course. But the irritation of not having her prized possessions had kept her and... Well her up...
Nightrekra happily smiled when she woke up. What a nice rest! Even with the bad situation, she had slept like a rock. Easily getting dressed, she remembered her odd dream. There had been something about... a broken doll? Oh well. She should go to the cafeteria!
Amelia Rivera's POV
Things that they could never let anyone know...
She found herself heading to the restroom for reasons she couldn't fathom. It was still dark... What was she doing in here anyway? She had made sure to equip herself with a small, sharp dagger that she owned.
There was someone else in there. Amelia could hear them. Were they planning her demise?...
No, it seemed they were just using the bathroom stall. Breathing as closely to silence as she could, she wondered if she should risk speaking. She could probably defend herself if it came to it... She knew that, and yet...
"Hello?" she called out, not all too loudly into the dark. There was at least a chance whoever it was was not planning to kill her. Besides... she had a strange feeling things wouldn't go wrong, and the Ultimate Voodoo Practitioner knew that she could trust her intuitions.
At least... Most of the time.

"Everything is going to be okay."
Artemis' voice rang out quietly, his tone as low and formal as it always was.
"No one truly knows if they are conscious, so how can we know if we are awake?"
Artemis sighed, as he pulled himself out of bed. And by pulling himself out of bed, I mean he just kind of hopped off. He didn't even have a blanket or a pillow or anything, just the mattress.
"Nightmares, I would presume?"
He pulled a headlamp out of his pocket, flicking it on, before pulling it on his head.
"The headlamp was for reading in the late of night, please do not question it."
He didn't seem like he'd slept at all, judging from the fact that a half-finished novel was resting on his desk, which definitely hadn't been there before.
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?
You decide.
Shizuka Matsubara
Shizuka stared blankly at him for all of two seconds, then promptly decided nope and threw themselves back into bed. It was too early for this crap.
Maybe tomorrow when their playlist was- oh no.
They'd gone to sleep with it on... right?
A high pitched shriek tore through the room. "MY CD PLAYER! GONE!" With a shaking finger, they pointed to its shattered remains.
