The thing is, I get really attached to my pixel pets, I was wondering if there is any way to evolve pokemon that only evolve with trading in the original games without actually trading them

No, there is currently no way to evolve trade-evolution Pokemon without trading them. If you're worried about losing your Pokemon, you can simply trade with a trusted user/friend, and get them to trade the Pokemon back to you.

If you don't know anyone you would trust with your pokemon, you can also use the Trade Evolution Station. I've personally utilized it for numerous trade evolutions, including shiny and mega able pokemon, and I've always gotten my pokemon back with no issues. :]
