World of Lesandria RP
Forum-Index → Roleplay → World of Lesandria RPUpon entering the new section of the dungeon, Eris was immediately met with the smell of rotten flesh. Scrunching her nore, she warily looked around, mildly disturbed by what was around the group in this area...
"Jumping down anywhere with damaged legs is NOT a smart move..." Marina thought from where she lay on the floor of the new room. Her left leg had buckled at, of course, the knee. That left her laying on the ground, pouting. So not fin-tastic!
And they were still getting larger and lasting for longer.
As if inviting you to take a closer look...
Wait.
Was that a flash of red in the eye sockets of the skull over there?
No, it was probably just an illusion.
But hold on a sec.
There was another flash.
It couldn't possibly be real, right?
Wrong!
Suddenly, there was a blinding flash.
When it finally cleared, you found yourself surrounded my skeletons.
And no, you can't break the walls down this time.
Let me tell you a secret,
The real monsters don't look like monsters~
You know the first rule in combat? shoot them before they shoot you.
They would have looked silly with their lopsided walk, some missing limbs or having bashed in heads, if it weren't for the fact that they were out for blood.
But then there was a rip.
Longer and wider than all the ones before.
It was strangely inviting, even with the same dark cavern showing through.

The rift didn't matter. In fact, she didn't see it. She was busy not just keeping herself together... but also holding back.

They just reassembled and advanced again.
And yes, Sobble was right.
The skeletons were strong.
Of course...
The rip which was still going strong was an option...

Eris almost whimpered as the skeletons advanced on the group. This was terrifying! Wait, a rip had appeared. It was longer than the others, wider too. Almost like it was made to be... A portal of some sort...
When the skeletons began to move, Marina quickly moved and re-aligned her buckled leg. Standing up, she joined the fray, shoving and punching the piles of bones as they came at them. But she was also trying to do something that may give the group an advantage; trying to break the bones themselves. Her... Experiences... with the undead helped her understand that as long as the bones were intact, the skeletons would simply reassemble.

Indestructible undead warriors.
And yes, the rip was still there, still growing wider.
It would soon consume half the room.
Interestingly enough, the skeletons seemed to stay far away from the rip.
