Name:
Lysander "Sol" Voronova
Gender:
Male
Pronouns:
He/him/his
Sexuality:
Bisexual, demiromantic
Age:
24 years
Occupation/Job:
Artist.
Hoping to heal from the pain he endured, Lysander tapped deep into the one thing he'd ever been good at: painting, ceramics, and sketching. It may not pay the best, but it keeps him sane. He runs a few independent stalls and often stays up very late finishing his projects.
OR
Alchemist/Apothecarist's apprentice
Lysander's methodical personality, desensitization to violence, and hidden instinct to nurture made it easy for him to turn to the medical wing as a hidden refuge. If combat and ruthlessness was what was expected of him in the past, then he sought only to defy it. Granted, he's not fully able to kick out on his own yet, but never before has he found himself so much at home as when he's treating a patient.
Species:
Birdfolk / half-avian
(if not, then elf)
Magic Type:
Elemental [Cryo/ice]
(would light be possible?)
Appearance:
one two three
Personality:
INTJ, 5w4, Aquarius
A highly clever but misanthropic character, Lysander is often locked up in his own private rumination, and prefers to keep others at a distance. His methodical working style, which dictates logic and routine, is not necessarily for everyone. He tends to approach problems systematically, breaking bigger problems into smaller pieces that he can deal with easily. As a nod to his corvid race, Lysander is highly in tune with his mind, to his benefit. He is quick to identify and analyze patterns and trends, and he isn't above out-of-the-box solutions. In essence, he is the very definition of all brain and no brawn. In tandem with his mental acuity, Lysander is in possession of a wit whose purpose is entirely determined by context alone. In general, his wit is dry, and in times of strife, his humor can take a dark turn. Most people misinterpret his sardonic words as mocking or irreverent, but that is far from the truth. In reality, he takes every situation seriously, but he comes off as blunt in a way that is misinterpreted as callousness and insensitivity.
Lysander is slow to befriend and trust, his bitter demeanor creating an outer shell around him that is hard to breach. He sees the worst in people, and braces against betrayal by keeping up a constant vigilance. The kindest of his acquaintances call him reserved, those who dislike him call him paranoid. It's hard for him to lower his guard, and once he does, it seems that most of his discomfort stems from being vulnerable. Once his trust is earned, Lysander honors his friendships deeply. In truth, Lysander is fairly perceptive of his partner's emotions, and tends to see more than he likes to let on. He prefers to keep his reticence, thinking that actions speak louder than words. A stoic observer, Lysander is willing to sit down and listen to others' problems, pondering in respectful silence before offering a solution. When relaxed, his humor is not as biting, taking on a sly, teasing quality. Still, it's hard to describe him as warm.
His aloof behavior comes with a certain level of fear, of secret mistrust. Even though he keeps a calm and coldly charming demeanor, his thought impulses quickly spiral into worse-case scenarios and worry. Lysander is pretty defensive by habit, never truly relaxed, and always investigating. The slightest coalition prompts his interest; the whisperings of rumors always reach his ears one way or another. He is hyper-vigilant. Most of the time, his fears are unfounded. He knows how to make surface-level conversation to deflect suspicion, but his penchant for honesty and bluntness means he is more than capable of laying down hard criticism. Don't mistake his anxiety for submissiveness; Lysander knows how to keep a cool head while tearing into someone's psyche at the same time. Unfortunately, this tends to bring about the exact situation that he goes to avoid.
It's hard to earn his trust, but it's even harder, if not impossible, to regain it. Once betrayed, Lysander quickly becomes an enemy for life. Lysander is unrelenting to the point of ruthlessness, more than willing to hunt down and exact vengeance upon the poor unfortunate who crossed him. A betrayed Lysander is fiery and snide at best, openly vicious and murderous at worst. This penchant for brutality when he is crossed is often unexpected, as most people readily assume he does not have a temper readily on display. His words begin to snarl and bite, sinking into his opponents' weaknesses and tearing them into shreds. In the aftermath however, guilt haunts him incessantly as he inevitably mourns those lost relationships. He often times catches himself thinking about what they could have been if things had gone differently, a cycle of melancholy and somber thinking.
Backstory:
Kidnapped very young, Lysander spent his whole life surrounded by Black Sun indoctrination, fear, and manipulation. As years passed, Lysander found himself giving without concern to his own needs, friends and allies washing away under the tide of time. Nights - either alone or in the company of another - were spent restlessly tossing and turning, the blood of innocents dirtying his hands. Whatever relationships he had were poisoned by individuals seeking to take advantage of his powers, intelligence, or body. Disillusioned by the falsehoods shoved down his throat, the avian fled, going so far as to fake his death. With no one to lean on, he became cynical and bitter. Settling down in Aeloria, the avian quickly picked up a few odd jobs to cover the rent, hoping to put his past behind him.

Name: Promethius
Gender: Pan-gender
Pronouns: all of them.
Sexuality: aroace
Age: 21?
Occupation/Job: Proffessional gambler and adventurer, rich philanthropist playboy trillionaire
Species: Elf/Siren
Magic Type: Enchantment/Illusion magic (Relies more on enchantment.)
Appearance:
Personality: ENFP-A campainer. Outgoing, optimistic, charming and empathetic but vain.
Backstory (five sentences minimum): Promethius's father was an elf working as a traveling bard, with maxed out stats in charisma. One day Promethius's dad got creativity block and decided to go to the Jade sea to cure it, hoping to find inspiration. What they found were sirens instead, singing in their hypnotising voice and tempting him with what he wanted. The ship was steered into a large rock by the influence of the Sirens, with Promethius's father being the sole survivor. Being a bard with maxed out rizz, they charmed the Sirens into letting him leave the island instead of them disembowling him. They needed time to fix the wrecked boat alone tho, so they stayed. One Siren was especially interested in them, singing to them every night. One thing led to another and boom, Promethius is eventually born, just in time for their dad to set sail. The dad despite leaving the mom, had some decency to take his offspring with him. Dad eventually settled down in a city reminiscent to Las vegas, full of gambling establisents, clubs and banks, but with magic. Was taught enchantment magic by his father, self taught himself into casting illusion magic with his voice that he got from his mothers side. Doesn't sing alot. Fights with a catalyst like in genshin. Extremely flirty.

Previous RP post you’re particularly proud of that you want to show off: A light suddenly glinted from the island, and pheimos could only watch in horror as an enormous barrier shot out from the island, enclosing them all in. Shards of glinting glass fell from the skh and formed into grotesque versions of the Pokémon we all know and lovr. They wailed and clawed at their faces as a tower rose in the center of the world, bending the rules of physics in every way possible, the architechture just wasn't possible. ...Not in the Etherworld at least. As all these events transpired, a sine falink panicked and tried to leave through the way they came from, but they couldn't break the barrier. The noise however alerted the monsters who we shall call ferals from now onwards, savagely ripping into them until there was no flesh left, only armour. Pheimos held up his tendrils to silence the entire group conveying how crucial it was to do so.
Jape watch as the world around him started to shift and the ferals rose from glass-like substances. His expression rapidly turned from confused to an almost fearfully wide-eyed expression, watching the Falinks be attacked and killed so quickly. He had faced death before, both before and after he had turned into a Gengar, so he wasn't fully disturbed. However, he knew that this was quite the dire situation he had put himself in, so there was no sassy remark he would dare make now. He quietly hovered back toward Pheimos, his expression serious as he looked around to get a feel for the situation.
And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
I just ask that you pick either enchantment OR illusion :)
"Dad eventually settled down in a city reminiscent of Las Vegas, full of gambling establishments, clubs and banks, but with magic." This is my head-canon for the goblin city of Shadowvale. Gambling District for sure.

And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
Name: Thérèse Diessus
Gender: female
Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality: ace
Age: 21
Occupation/Job: Alchemist/Bartender
Species: Human
Magic Type: Divination
Appearance:
Personality (MBTI type, 5 adjectives minimum, including 1 “bad” adjective): INTP-A, methodical, logical, assertive, socially inept, overbearing, "in your mind"
Backstory (five sentences minimum): Hailing from Stormhaven, Thérèse are the beginning was the simple daughter of two sailors, with one controlling the tides beneath the ship and the other blowing the sails with wind. As such, they took her along on some adventures and showed her the beauty of the seas, from Stormhaven, over Calyx's Point, all to the Jade Ocean. They hoped she would develop elemental powers like themselves... and were shocked to learn that Divination magic chose her instead.
At first, Thérèse seemed dissatisfied. Divination magic isn't really known to be a sailor's ability or at least nothing more than occasionally reading minds to prevent mutinys. That changed though when she went through the bounty of her parents and saw something... else. It was a weird feeling, a weird vision, something but, innately, she could tell how much gold was in ore... or what happened if you mixed two things together. An interesting discovery...
With that, Thérèse both started her pursuit of alchemy and reignited her passion for seafaring. Her parents do not know of that gift, in fear that she might end up a boring job like "treasurer" or something. So, for the time being, she works at a tavern near the port, using her Divination magic to predict and create special drinks for sailors and captains. And if you could not pay your tab, Thérèse would be willing to trade you parts of sea monsters or materials to pay with instead.
During daytime, she keeps mixing and trying out alchemic reactions, noting them down in a little bound book of hers. Overnight, she works at the tavern, serving specials and collecting more materials, if possible. If not, hey, she was still getting paid.
