Hi, I was collecting Shinx eggs for my shiny hunt as usual when I noticed I could pick up an egg for the Alolan quest (A popular resort region quest). This hatched into a regular Rattata. I accidentally released it, so when I went back to the daycare and accepted the next egg, the egg didn't actually appear into my party. I did restore the Rattata using the recovery tool, but there's still no new egg. Daycare just states "come back when you have hatched the egg". I don't know if my mistake completely bugged out this quest, but I fear the worst.

Not just releasing it, even just placing the Rattata into the storage box before accepting a new egg caused the bug.

I had a party full of eggs and the Rattata and placed it into storage to free up the space, but now I have a bugged quest, a Rattata, and no egg anywhere but the quest acts as if I got it...

UPDATE: Oh this is SO WEIRD. I got a notification popup that an egg hatched into a Geodude, but the thing is: I have NO EGGS in my party (and the Rattata is now a Raticate).

This let me "claim" the next egg, but it's still nowhere to be found in my party! I'll update my post again if I again get some ghost egg hatch.

I just got the same message that a Geodude hatched, but no Geodude. I also claimed a new egg, had a spot free in my party beforehand, but didnt get an egg.

Edit: the same thing happened with the next "egg". It hatched but there wasn't an egg in my party. I hope this can get fixed soon.

I did just unlock a new rumble area as a result of this quest. So at least that part doesn't seem to be affected

Can now confirm that if you get the ghost egg hatches you can complete the quest and get Alola as a Rumble area, too!

So it's really just that I need to go get an Alolan Vulpix elsewhere.

I tried to claim the second egg forgetting that I already had six eggs in my party and now it wants me to hatch the daycare egg that I do not have. I had released the Rattata that hatched but I did manage to reclaim it

i've been having the same issue too, i hatched the ratatta egg 2 days ago (and still have the pokemon, it just evolved) but i was never given a second egg despite accepting it and having an empty party, the daycare still tells me to come back after it hatches :o

Same issue here, Claimed the egg but never actually had it in my party, I had already hatched the rattata egg previously but, it still says to come back to the daycare after hatching it. :[

Same thing just happened to me, absolutely was panicking till I found this thread. I hatched a rattata and I had space, I don't remember moving it before claiming the next egg, but for some reason, this happened to me. Maybe i did move it to boxes on accident before claiming the egg, I can't fully remember, but it's so weird.

I hatched the ratatta and kept it in my party, collected the egg and it was there, but when i put the rat in a box the egg just poofed, my rat is evolved and nothing still so i think im dead meat.

This old man has the moral backbone of a Taco Bell tortilla after it came out of a pool.

RiverHeart is not liked so if you rp with me keep that in mind XD that way someone doesnt make me act confused
(clumsy and gets in the way trying to help everywhere he can XDDD)

RapidStream is very shy and so if he talks to you maybe act surprised (or if he talks at all :|)

Hi!
I am facing the same problem.
I first hatched a regular ratata, after I transferred it into storage box then I claimed the second egg but it didn't appear in my party.
I got in touch with a moderator and filled my party.
And now it's been a couple of hours and the eggs I adopted way after it has hatched but I haven't recieved a popup yet.
What should I do now?

Me too... but it said that i've hatched the egg and let me have another egg. The other egg still not appearing tho... maybe others can see that egg in your party but u cannot

I logged out, checked in guest mode, and there was no egg. However, a geodude hatched soon in my case so its fine if you just wait a while.
