Iteral was able to enter soon after. She... took some time to recover, looking like a drenched dog and gulping occasionally. "That was... horrible..." She gags a bit, supporting herself on the wall and walking forward... and going a different way, she doesn't know where the others are yet.

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.

"Well, good service indeed." She took her drink and sipped it without any sweeteners. "So, is the king almost ready? Being an Archangel from Her Majesty's celestial court, time really isn't something I tend to find myself having often."

Adrik Volkov
"And what might that be?" the cat person inquired. Adrik barely saw it in the dim light of the prison cell, but claws appeared to be appearing from the person's fingers.
Oh, so it was a cat power. Fascinating.
"Eh... not really sure at this point to be honest." He sighed. He really wished he were a magician at this point. It wasn't like they'd believe him if he said he wasn't, though. He lifted up a manacle, then let it fall back to his side. Now would be a really great time for a world-shattering power to grace him...
When had the gods liked him, though?
He made up his mind. He'd do as his mother requested.
He would live, hell or high water, and he'd use his brain to do it. He'd use his brain to get the hell out of here.
First off, he had to get his limbs free. Obviously they took no liberties with constructing this cell, considering they thought they held a powerful magician. But if he could only convince them that they needed him to do something... if only they needed these off-
"Are you hungry?" the cat person asked.
And slowly, a plan began to take shape.

"She's off somewhere, I'm not bothering to find her. I don't really care." She finished her tea quickly and set the cup back down.

"One day, all communication with my creator was cut off. I'm not sure why, but I've never heard from them again. I've just been... alone. Maybe that's why I was so open to Legion's attack... I've grown dependent on another, and now I'm paying for it."

Adrik Volkov
"Yeah, I guess so. I don't suppose I can make any requests?" Adrik half-joked. If I could, I'd be out of here.
"What would you like?"
Adrik inhaled sharply before he could muffle it. "I don't suppose I could get sushi?" he asked. "With chopsticks- y'know, the real kind, not like... with the bar connecting them at the end."
The cat person studied him. "The walls will muffle your magic," they said finally. "Having your hands free won't help you."
"Then I don't suppose I could have the keys now?"
Adrik waited for several moments, and then something hit him in the face. He cursed under his breath and fit them into the lock. After a long struggle, his hands were free.
"Didn't think they'd let a guard have this much to say about the freedom of a prisoner," Adrik remarked, tossing the keys back to the guard. He kept the manacles though. Something told him he'd need them.
"They don't," the person agreed. "But I'm not a guard."
Huh, he thought, studying them. He knew building a repertoire was important, but something in him felt genuinely curious now. "What are you then?"
"I'm the head of the Intelligence Department of Snavia."
A pause.
"...Oh."

She went over to Caspian and Henry, whispering. "Please, as long as they're here, call me Luce. Not Iteral. I beg of you."

Adrik Volkov
So... smart, I guess. And definitely supposed to torture me.
For some reason though, Adrik wasn't really feeling "tortured". Was that supposed to begin later? Was this a good cop bad cop thing where they'd eventually grow impatient and start stripping away his mind to peer at? What was their angle here?
"So what do you really want?"
For some reason, blackberries came to mind. But he had to go with the plan. "Sushi, still." He cracked a smile. "And coffee. Instant's fine, just get me a cup of decently warm water."
Cat person studied him for a second, then gave a nod. Adrik's heart was pounding in his chest.

Iteral ventures around the castle some more, dripping water and catching her breath slowly and surely. Soon enough, she was able to walk without supporting herself on the wall, yet still stumbling. She looks around, it would take a minute or two before she found the throne room with the others. But first... the guards made her sit down and drink something, to help her recollect.

Selaphiel bowed slightly and looked at Caspian. "We're in dire need of help. Specifically yours. To cut to the chase, I'd like you to join our party in our mission to stop Legion."
