She quieted down, looking up at him with big, watery eyes. His presence was so comforting, it was hard to say no. So she nodded slowly, hiccuping and leaning into his touch. "T-Thank you... so much..."

She shifted around until she was straddling his lap, placing her hands on his shoulders for support. She smiled brightly, leaning up and kissing his cheek. "You're an amazing person, Kendo. Don't let anyone- even yourself- believe otherwise."

Iteral slowly started to calm down, at least... her heartbeat went down a little and her pupils became normal. It took a bit of time but soon, she was able to talk. "Sela, I..." She whispered, gasping for air. All this shallow breathing left her with no air to speak, but she did her best. "I'm sorry. Didn't mean to." Her voice sounded not just exhausted, it was like she could barely talk at all. "Can't move... paralyzed..."

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.
