"Anyways, Let me get to the actual point. So there's this evil dude
named 'Legion' who stole a 'saint'. I'm part of a rebel group
that's going against this 'legion' fellow! You wanna join?"
“Can you give me a good reason? Because I’ve been trying to avoid
getting into this as One, I’m kind of lacking in the fighting
ability department and Two, I just try to avoid conflict in
general. I consider myself a fun loving person and
non-confrontational. Most of the time. I also have somewhere to be,
and I don’t care if you or your little group are obviously supposed
to be involved in my life via Fate—“
Oops. That might’ve been too much. Just a tad. But Charlotte kind
of wondered if maybe he knew EVERYTHING about her. At this point
she wouldn’t necessarily be surprised.
"You don't need to. It's your life. I'm an advocate for freedom, I
won't force you to do anything."
He checked his watch.
"Well, you won't need to worry about fighting. I'm quite a good
fighter myself. Plus, it'll be quite the adventure, traveling with
an Angel and two time-traveling maniacs. I am one of said
time-traveling maniacs, by the way."
That was… a compelling argument. Her fate strings were a little
unusual compared to most other ones she saw, Kendo excepted as his
were wildly unusual, stringing out in all directions and some
fading out of existence. If he really was a time traveler…
There was one thing she could check, though. Because the rebel
group just might be where she was supposed to be headed.
“Very weird question, but can you just… point? To the direction of
where we’d be going if, for some reason, I did decide to join you
all in your saint quest or whatever?”
"It doesn't matter, just-" Selaphiel watched Kendo leave. "What an
idiot." She scoffed, turning and walking into the village. There
were vast fields of wheat surrounding them, the yellow hue of the
sunset doing the scenery nicely and lighting it up in the golden
hour. "Hurry up."

"He's just very eccentric, you know." Iteral follows, looking
around. "... a beautiful sunset. It's all coming together, like a
well-tuned clock. Wouldn't you agree?" She thought it over for a
sec. "I-eh, probably not for you Sela, you're probably used to a
view like that... up there..." She turns to Yue and Rei, a little
panicked. Smalltalk was never her strength.
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
That direction was decidedly not the direction that the specific
fate string was telling her to go. That was due Northwest.
“…Right. Okay.”
Charlotte thought on the idea of following Kendo, brows scrunched
up in concentration. Fate was nudging her towards going with the
weird dude that fell out of the sky. And distrusting real, actual
Fate was a horrible idea.
“I’ll come with you. It sounds fun, and I’ve never teleported
before! But you’ll have to promise to bring me back here if I
decide I don’t want to stay. Deal?” She stuck out her hand for him
to shake.
Yue gave Iteral an encouraging thumbs up. "I've never seen wheat
crops like these. There're so many of them! In Lumina the crops are
scarcely grown due to the temperature. What about you guys? Where
did you come from?"

Rei looked around the town. It felt somewhat cozy, when suddenly he
smelt the scent of warm tea nearby. It instantly reminded him of a
memory of him and a figure eating some ramen. They were both
smiling gleefully but he couldn't wrap around his head on who that
was.
"The stars in my memories that
I can't express in words, all packed into a balloon,
Soars across the Milky Way, carrying travelers, a dream" "It won'tend yet,""I don't wantit to end" "But even so, one day.."

"Ah, hello there!" Yue nodded to the new person. "Are you here to
help us fight the legion as well? We'll need all the help we can
get if we're going to take him down. Ah-" He waved his hands. "Not
that I am doubting you fours' abilities, that is." He raised an
eyebrow at Rei. "Hm, Crow man, are you alright? You look quite
distant."

"Ack-" Rei jumped in surprise but immediately turned back to his
normal posture, facing Yue "Im alright, just remembering an old
memory why?"

Selaphiel glared at Kendo, glancing at the new person for only a
moment. "What are their powers? Are they willing to help us? How do
they feel about the Saint Deity?"

"they're in for the adventure, like me! They can see threads of
fate, as well! Also, they're pretty fast. Overall not too powerful,
but could be helpful!"
kendo was bright and peppy, nearly spilling the liquid in his mug
as he gestured.
"You seemed a bit distant, like I said. What memory were you think
of? Ah, I hope I'm not being too intrusive." Yue turned to Kendo.
"Threads of fate? That's interesting. Can they see the fate of
others' too?"

"The Saint...? Well, I hope she will. We're rescuing her after
all." Setsuna straightened up with a smile. He gave the creature a
few last pats. "Huh... I wonder where you're from, little guy."
A refugee from Manecdon? The remains of some ancient civilization?
Some magic biz?
Setsuna thought for a second. "Hey... what's your name?"

And so the wait began. Time ticked by. She wasn't sure if the kid
was dead or alive on the bed, but the Rebels had left.
Who was she to pretend this was some great altruisrist act for
Snavia? This was her, selfishly motivated to the last.
Her hand tightened on Puppet, and she stood up.
